Posted on 07/15/2014 12:54:39 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet
In a Monday letter to a Mexico City Vatican conference, Pope Francis wrote that the tens of thousands of Central American children illegally crossing into the United States should be welcomed and protected.
Just days after President Obama visited Texas and pledged a solution to the US border crisis, the Pope said migrant childrens human rights are being violated.
Many people forced to emigrate suffer, and often, die tragically, he said. Many of their rights are violated. They are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes. The Pope also advocated that nations advocate development in the Central American countries people are fleeing....

Come an’ get ‘em, popey
then ship’em to the vatican.
Well by all means, let’s ship a few plane loads of the little rascals to The Vatican!
I’m not quite as tired of this pope as I am of the Clintons, but he’s getting there.
You’re welcome to them
I’m guessing the Pope, like so many, is under the impression that these “children” are actually “children.”
Why? After Israel the US is the most hated country - even by our MSM and Libs and politicians like0bozo .... why do people want to come here???
So the popes gonna “welcome them” and take care of them all! That’s great! Thanks Mr Pope.
Well by all means, lets ship a few plane loads of the little rascals to The Vatican!
Agreed. It would cost a lot less than the $3.7 billion Obama is trying to steal.
So they can turn it into the third world shit whole they came from on the American taxpayers dime?
The Pope just called us all racists. Waiting for the Catholics to chime in with “translation errors” and other excuses.
How many? There must be at least a billion kids living in poverty equal to that of Guatemalan and Honduran kids.
This guy has some serious work to do regarding the treatment of children within the organization he’s running.
forced to emigrate? Nonsense. They were not driven from their home, they chose to leave.
They are getting much better treatment than the Tea Party by the IRS.
“Welcome. Here’s a gift bag with a brochure on how to legally become an American and some cookies. Now, get on this southbound bus and go home.”
I’ve yet to hear a word of condemnation of the countries and people who send them. Most of those ‘children’ who actually are ‘children’ are probably stalking horses for adults who plan to play the ‘family reunification’ gambit.
There is that.
So should argentina’s defeat at the hands of Germany (oOoOh...)
For every child we take in we drop one bomb on criminal and corrupt ruling class targets in the child's home country.
Special consideration for Mexicorruption. Arturo Sarukhan, a top official in Mexico[rruption]'s foreign ministry [among other Mexicorruption ruling class], said [vis-a-vis their anti-US tactics]:"How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time."
We squash the corrupt ruling class.
Plane loads? Ship loads. How many “refugees” do you think we can stuff into an amphibious warfare ship or a leased cruise liner?
Perhaps the Holy Father should bring his sights down to his own backyard and welcome those refugees into his many church facilities before he lectures others across different seas and on a different continent.
They will inevitably reply in the negative... they'll say that the US is no better than, and in many ways worse than, most of the nations of the first world.
Then follow up with another question: "So do you believe, then, that the US should handle its borders like most other nations handle theirs?"
If they've a glimmer of intelligence, this question will leave them gawping and stammering, because they know what will happen if you try to walk over the border into Mexico and start demanding all the perks of citizenship (i.e., you'll get arrested and deported muy pronto).
With others, you'll have to explain it to them.
I think the Catholic church has a false Pope.
Do they have a right to handouts?
Do they have a right to trespass on another's property?
Do they have a right to break the laws of the United States?
Are they obliged to separate from their families?
Is it racist or xenophobic to oppose an illegal, unwanted invasion?
All these children should be flown to the Papal palace in the Vatican today.
In some cities like Chi-Congo and Detroit and Baltimore, Camden NJ is just like Somalia ....they already are.
Sadly, most FReepers’ responses prove that the WH sponsored foreign invasion was intended to drive us all nuts and it’s working.
(I posted this on an earlier thread)
This fiasco was a diabolical, pre-planned strategy..... start with thousands of innocent children to test and tear apart the citizens of the US.
Knowing his most ardent critics are supportive of the right to life and each child is a gift. Who among us would want to raise them in drug cartels and street gangs? His other critics - proponents of secure borders and the law.
So then, how do we stop this abomination without further torturing these children and save our Nation from this pre-planned, coordinated foreign invasion?
Congress should demand: What is our Foreign policy with respect to these nations that have abandoned their smallest, most helpless citizens?? Who is doing what in the State Department?? What are our ambassadors doing?? Abrogation of duty!!!!!
Just for the record: whom did he call a racist?
not one liberal will say how many is enough-300,000 one million, ten million, 100 million?
what a bunch of hooey makes me think the church wants more tithing members in usa as their income and tithes will increase compared to where they came from
I’m a Catholic and I am appalled at the Pope’s comments.
And I’m tired of all of the apologists.
You could also ask the liberal “If America is such a horrible place what kind of monster would want to bring children from other countries here?”
Lots of room in Argentina, which has about the population density of Alabama . . .
I've seen enough gold in some European Cathedrals to feed millions for a quite spell as well as the real-estate it sits on. Is pope going to sell that? No? Why not? Oh that's right Americans are rich. /sarcasm It seems some popes are closet socialist. Redistribute others wealth but theirs is sacred.
This is how the Pope hopes to rebuild the Catholic Church in North America —
As a practicing Roman Catholic. I am now sick and tired of this Pope. he should shut already.
um, excuse me Pope dude. Latinos are ‘white hispanics,’ our newspapers and politicians told us so, so perhaps you can see it’s quite a reach calling Americans ‘racist’ for protesting an invasion of white people. Nice effort, tho.
Send them to Argentina. As a Catholic, I am done with the church until this creep croaks.
We go from Reagan & John Paul II, to these lousy commies.
So, when the Vatican kicks out the Gypsies, we should all protest.
Of course, that is different /sarcasm
I could not have said it better myself-—and I am a practicing Catholic. Take them in Popa Frances.
Deport them to the Vatican.
Does the Pope also think that Muslim’s should be “welcome” throughout the Christian world.
How’s that working out?
I keep thinking this pope is gonna turn me away from the church
You have a job, Pope. Many formerly hard-working Americans don’t, and can’t take any more increases in the cost of goods or taxes to pay for the new arrivals.
Well, there are “scare quotes” around the word welcomed.
Tell His Holiness that we will as soon as he tears down the walls surrounding the Vatican
They bring them over on the Catholic dime, then turn them over to the American people in general. That, is not Christian. BTW, I am Catholic.
The Pope said this...
Many of their rights are violated. They are obliged to separate from their families and, unfortunately, continue to be the subject of racist and xenophobic attitudes.
You'll have to ask him who he specifically meant.
