A Final Adios from DrSteveJ

From ksen | 07/30/2004 2:04:11 AM PDT read

DrSteveJ has finally used the last of his nine lives this evening. He has been banned, not suspended, for posting an NOAA gif.

Anyway, he has asked that you all be notified and told

“Adios” on his behalf.

If you need to email him he can be reached at

____@yahoo.com

Well folks, another one bites the dust.

Willie Green took his electric Chocho and left also.
He did not leave voluntarily.

I miss Qiddom and his quatrains.

(The name so nice he always signed it twice)

Whatever happened to him? I have been a daily Freeper since before SnowBunny and C.G.E.G. (host over the sun) fiasco’s and missed them too...

Of course, he could have been here all along, posting under another pseudonym.

That list is undoubtedly very long.

Iirc Pukin Dog often touted that the Navy had a black world F-14 replacement under devekopment that would eat F-22s for lunch.

Don’t know what happened to either him or the plane ...

Also, like others, am interested in why a NOAA graphic would get someone banned. Even as a tipping-point event.

He was the leader of the GRPL (Great Reformed Ping List. I think I got thre name right, but will be corrected if Iam wrong).

He was a very hyper-Calvinist poster; so hyper and disruptive that Dallas Theological Seminary strongly encouraged him to continue his theological studies elsewhere.

That’s a fact which he did not deny and was confirmed to me by a good friend of his that I know who attended DTS at the same time and even taught an adult Sunday School class with him.

I don’t get it either.

That list is undoubtedly very long.

I'm sure others will be able to connect the dots. If they can get off the carpet and hustle, they should be able to figure it out by Saturday, and it won't even cost them $23 million.

Opus threads. I enjoy those. There was one recently, I believe, within the last couple weeks.

Is that what they’re called? I love them! I haven’t seen one in ages, I’m sorry I missed this one. I have mine all lined up for 2025 - now longer than Obamacare legislation!

Hey, I just posted a link to his web site. I hold no grudges; I just think some of his theological beliefs are misguided.

I'm laughing that you've created yet another definition - not just "hyper Calvinist", but "very hyper Calvinist"!

http://www.spurgeon.org/~phil/articles/hypercal.htm

Philip Johnson, a 5-point Calvinist used the phrase “extreme type of Calvinism” is his expalanation of hyper-Calvinism; and even I would not put DrSteveJ in that category, so saying that drstevej was a very hyper-Calvist is not out of line. For all I know, maybe he has moderated his views over time.
