Oklahoma City, Okla., Aug 28, 2014 / 04:49 pm (CNA/EWTN News).- A lawyer who helped recover a stolen Host that organizers of an Oklahoma City black mass intended to desecrate said that the Church’s legal victory could have far-reaching effects.

“I don’t think we’re going to see Satanists doing this again, or they’ll going to understand we’re going to come after them, anywhere, any time this happens,” attorney Michael W. Caspino of the Irvine, Calif.-based law firm Busch & Caspino told CNA Aug. 27.

“We’ve now gutted the significance of their black mass. Now it’s really just a bad show with bad actors,” Caspino said.

The occult group Dakhma of Angra Mainyu scheduled a black mass at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall Sept. 21. A black mass is a sacrilegious ceremony that invokes Satan and mocks the Catholic Mass. It involves the desecration of the Eucharist, generally by stealing a consecrated Host from a Catholic church and using it in a profane, sexual ritual.

The event organizer, Adam Daniels, claimed to have in his possession a Host mailed to him by a friend that he believed had been consecrated at a Catholic Mass.

Caspino’s law firm filed suit against the event organizer in Oklahoma District Court Aug. 20 on behalf of Oklahoma City Archbishop Paul Coakley, on the grounds that the Host was stolen property.

An attorney representing Daniels gave the reputed consecrated Host to a priest of the Oklahoma City archdiocese on Aug. 21. The organizers still intend to simulate a black mass, but without the use of a consecrated Host.

Caspino said the primary goal of the lawsuit was not to stop the event but to “get our Blessed Sacrament back and not let them defile it.”

While U.S. laws do not recognize Catholic belief, Caspino pointed out that the laws do recognize property rights. A judge issued a temporary restraining order against the black mass organizers on the grounds the lawsuit “had a likelihood of success,” the attorney explained.

“We live in a society under our Constitution that allows people to do dumb things. And now they’re going to do something dumb. I don’t support it, I think it’s terrible, but we don’t really have much as far as legal means to stop them from doing this crazy show.

“The great thing is that we got the Eucharist back and the significance of the show is now gone.”

The attorney also praised Archbishop Coakley’s leadership in seeking to halt the black mass.

“This is a real courageous stand.”

Archbishop Coakley on Aug. 21 expressed relief at the return of the Host, but warned that the event poses “spiritual danger” to all who are involved in it.

Caspino stressed the need to speak out against events like the black mass.

“Every Catholic out there, every good Christian out there, we need to stare down the devil. We need to stand up to the devil. The devil is weak when you stare him down. That’s what we did here. We stared down the devil, and the devil blinked.”

“In your daily life, in everything you do, we’ve got to stare down the devil.”

Caspino added that he was “very disappointed” in the management of the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall.

An official with the music hall told CNA in July that because the hall is a city-run facility, it must operate in a position of “neutrality” and must be willing to host any event “as long as it was not hosting something specifically illegal in nature.”

Caspino said there is “a real lack of leadership” at the event venue.

“It’s one thing to allow different religions to come in and celebrate their religion. It’s a whole different thing to allow a group to come in that seeks to desecrate and insult another religion,” he said.

“We should be having more positive things going on on public property and not such negative things.”

He added that the music hall management ignored its own rules against “hatefulness” and “violations of community standards.”

“There are things out there that are legal, but are tasteless and violate community standards. They should have stopped (the black mass) just based on that. Not everything that’s legal is right,” he said. “The law doesn’t cover every single situation out there. We have to use common sense.”

Caspino said it is common sense not to host an event that has “no redeeming value other than to insult other people and desecrate religious institutions.”

“We try to be a country that gives people freedoms to go ahead and do things,” he said. “But there are boundaries to that too. We should probably use a little bit more common sense than to say we’re just going to allow whatever is legal.”

The sun is a star located something like 90 million miles away from us. I do not worship an inanimate mass of burning gas -- do you?

But what, if I dare ask, makes the Eucharist a "sun cookie"? Because its usually round and the sun is also round? In line with such childishly simplistic reasoning, I certainly hope you avoid all round things entirely, and keep your belly from assuming said shape.

Numbers 6:

[24] YHVH bless thee, and keep thee:
[25] YHVH make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
[26] YHVH lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

These were the words Yeshua spoke as he broke the bread, and poured the wine. It was a tradition that every Hebrew followed at every meal. He asked that we continue it in remembrance of him. .

No mind reading, I have posted copious quantities of the NT to her, and she has responded.

People cannot read minds. Claiming to know what the other person knows or is thinking is often is the first step towards a flamewar when the subject is as sensitive as a person's deeply held religious beliefs.

For that reason, mind reading is not tolerable on the Religion Forum.

What, the monstrance? Its as suitable a vessel to hold Jesus's own flesh as we can make. But I suppose to some its a mighty sinister container because its got artistically rendered light shafts on it, and come to think of it, it kinda' even sounds like 'monster'.

And this is why we can't have nice things.

Salvation and I have been exchanging posts since well before you were here. We need not read any minds to know history.

A suitable idol to hold the representation of the sun god.

Yeshua’s body holds his flesh quite well, where he sits, at the right hand of the Father.

No part of that body has ever entered any sun cookie idol.

I would love to show you the priest's Roman Missal and all the prayers that come from the Bible that are said during the Mass.

So, I will recommend a book instead. Both Old and New Testaments are quoted.

If you don’t read that book, at least read the link. It has several Biblical references in the Mass identified.

So, if I'm getting this, your objection is to the monstrance because it has light beams on it. If the host is taken OUT of the monstrance, we're a-ok, right? Or do you still have some lingering objection to circles?

I agree, no part of Jesus has entered into bread. Rather, the substance of the bread has and is transubstantiated into His flesh, in accordance with His command given at the Last Supper and throughout the gospel.

My objection is to idolatry masquerading as worship of Yeshua.

Nothing about the mass has the slightest thing to do with my savior. Its as old as the tower of Babel.

Putting bits of Gods word into a pagan, humanistic practice fails to make it Godly.

Remember about the mixing of the threads in a garment?

And read the poem the Tapestry. The back of it looks like a jumble. But turn it over and it is beautiful.

That’s the Mass to Catholics. To non-Catholics it may seem like a jumbled mess.

My pleasure-

Sun’s day is the greco roman latin day of worship..

According to Torah and the prophets and our Heavenly Father’s calendar written in the sky, there is no Sun’s day in His week.

There is no Moon Day, Tiw’s Day, Woden’s Day, Thor’s Day, Friya’s Day or Saturn’s Day either for that matter..

Those days dedicated to created things or ancients gods and goddesses are an invention of man.

So is december 25 and good friya’s day and easter sun’s day.

The greco roman Latin savior may have been born on December 25 and put to death on good friy’a day. And raised on easter Sun’s day

but Scripture tells us the Messiah of Israel was born on an appointed day (New Moon day- 1st day of His 6th month), He was put to death on an appointed day- the 14th day of His 1st month(Feast of Passover) He rose from the grave on an appointed day- the 16th day of His first month (Feast of first fruits- which is the first day of the week after the seventh day High Sabbath on the 15th day of unleavened bread-( He observed the Sabbath, even in death)

Now, Jews celebrated three different ‘Passovers’ this year depending on what calendar they use- one was in march, one in April and one in May..
Only one of those is Truth..

But for our purposes, none of those were on the greco roman latin template on good friya day, saturn’s day and sun’s day...

And that is because the calendar used in the greco roman latin world doesn’t use the sun, moon and stars together to determine appointed worship times that He gave.

It only uses the sun.. and trying to tell time with one hand is okay for sun worship. But it makes True worship of the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His only beloved sun impossible.

One cannot find His appointed times for worship (New Moons, Sabbaths and Feasts) with just the sun..

Those New Moons, Sabbaths and Feasts all point to the Son.

And the world, led by the greco roman latin mother church, points everyone to the sun, and have counterfeiting holy days and sabbaths that are just counterfeits of the genuine appointed times.

Jews have abandoned the calendar they were taught and even they have their very own pope appointed sabbath day.

Today is Saturn’s day on the world’s calendar.the Jews regular sabbath day.
On Our Heavenly Father’s calendar (according to the sun, moon and stars He gave us to tell time), it is the 4th day of His 5th month. It is also the 3rd work day, a work day. Tomorrow is also a work day that Christians in majority use as their sabbath.

But His seventh day Sabbath will be on a gregorian Woden’s day for the next four weeks. Both saturn’s day and sun’s day will be work days.

The world will be working on His Sabbath thanks to pope gregory and his namesake sun only based calendar.
Sun worship has gotten high tech. But as Scripture says, there is nothing new under the sun.

You stick a wafer in a contraption you call a monstrance...It has a depiction of the rays of the sun round about it...It is a representation of the the sun god...And you call this sun god/cracker Jesus and worship it...

People in the OT were condemned as well for worshiping the sun and this is the only thing that comes from the OT that resembles your Eucharist...
