Moscow, October 1, Interfax - Prayers marking the Muslim holiday, Eid al-Adha, will begin at all Moscow mosques at 7 a.m. on October 4, a spokesman for the city's inter-regional cooperation, national policy and religious organizations department said.
"Moscow authorities help Muslims religious organizations each year to organize festive services, providing security, maintenance, medical assistance and broadcasts," he said.
But Muscovites and visitors have been warned that the sale and slaughter of sacrificial animals will be banned in Moscow.
Sacrificial sheep will be slaughtered on farms and in slaughter houses in individual villages of the Moscow Region., the spokesman said.
Eid al-Adha, the feast of the sacrifice, honors the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his promised son, Ismail, as an act of submission to Allah's command, before Allah intervened to provide Abraham with a lamb to sacrifice instead.
While celebrating the feat of Prophet Ibrahim, Muslims slaughter animals (sheep, goats, cows or camels).
Wasn't Hagar and Ishmael already abandoned into the desert by the time Abraham had Isaac on the block?

What exactly is a Muslim sheep? Almost sounds like an Oxymoron.
