I would say most athiests are liberls. Liberals think they are the center of all that exists, they are in control of forces inside and out or make every attempt to control it and their infinite brilliance being part of acedemia brings them to a point of being God like themselves. Here lies the problem
No need to prove the existence of God. The onus is on the atheist that declares superior insight to another’s spiritual awareness.

Guessing that would be either 1) spelling checker, or 2) spellchecker. Unless you’re feeling possessed...
Look out the door, it's live!
Read the book “Proof of Heaven” by Dr. Eben Alexander - a Harvard Neurology professor and skeptic whose brain was completely shut down from meningitis. He writes an amazing a beautiful account of his experiences when there were no clinical signs of brain activity. He returned a believer.
We know gravity exists but there is no physical evidence to support it.
I don’t need proof.
My spelling spellchecker is definitely possessed...
I wouldn't recommend Alexander's book. During his NDE, he was visited by a female figure---if she was supposed to be an angel, that isn't Scriptural, since all angels in the Bible are male.
This apparition told him, "There is nothing you can do wrong", which is an open contradiction of the concepts of sin, repentance, and judgement.
If Alexander is a believer, his current job is very unsuitable. He works at the New Age Monroe Institute, which is not far from where I live. It promotes out of body experiences, channeling, and "exploring your consciousness."
There is only one God, and only one way to Him, so this is not a problem. Thousands of Muslims are having this prayer answered and are turning to Jesus as their Savior. Try it, you might be surprised!
Yes, they have.
Little Johnny (or little Janey) went off to college and got enlightened
The parents are always devastated and often ill-prepared to deal with their newly atheistic child.
Thanks, but I have no problem with God.
Nope. Same old stuff.
No, she wasn’t an angel - but his sister, who had died before he knew about her -he was adopted. As to her statement, I think it was more like, “You are loved and there’s nothing you can do that would change that.” I do believe that. It doesn’t change the fact that we have free will and sin. I thought it was a wonderful book - and the near death experiences I have read about usually do talk about an overwhelming Love, some see Christ and some do not. But this was unique because there was no brain activity at all. To me it was very comforting, and I’m a Christian.
There was more than one statement. They were, "You are loved and cherished, dearly and forever." "You have nothing to fear." "There is nothing you can do wrong."
"I do believe that. It doesnt change the fact that we have free will and sin."
Yes, but Alexander's vision contradicted the fact of sin; no vision sent by God would do that.
" I thought it was a wonderful book - and the near death experiences I have read about usually do talk about an overwhelming Love, some see Christ and some do not. But this was unique because there was no brain activity at all. To me it was very comforting, and Im a Christian."
With all due respect, we shouldn't rely on our feelings when it comes to something like this. We might think it's comforting and unique and all kinds of things, but we're supposed to examine such things to see if they line up with Scripture. I believe someone actually wrote a book---a Christian rebuttal to this guy's claim.
Again, I don't see how Alexander can call himself a Christian while working for a New Age organization which promotes occult practices. Do you?
I don’t know. I do know that there are many people who have had near death experiences with similar stories and to me they are very comforting. Period.
