**Abortion: the Sin of Idolatry**
Changing this a bit
Abortion: the Sin of “Self” Idolatry
Still very sad.
Those numbers don’t jive with the percentages for me.
37 percent Protestant
28 percent Catholic
Yet the other numbers are out of whack with that.
Protestant - 15 per 1000
Catholic — 22 per 1000
Shouldn’t those be reversed according to the percentages?
You noticed the errors in math too, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one.
**They think using birth control is bad**
They don’t realize that using birth control is killing babies too, do they?
Most abortions in the United States are committed by black women. 99% of these women claim they are Christian. 99% of these “Christian” women vote for murder on demand Obama or any other democrat that gives them a hand-out. But tell them they’re not a Christian and you have a fight on your hands. With blacks the color of someone’s skin and party affiliation trump morals and the Holy Bible.
How do you know they feel zero remorse?
Only they and God know what is in their heart.
That is shocking.
After reading many of these self righteous postings, I guess many here believe that “true” Christians do not sin.
Christians sin. Sometimes greatly. Many here should remember the following:
All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.
Thank you for your post.
Yes there is forgiveness for all sins through Christ.
And thank God he made it so. We are ALL sinners.
I don’t!
I’m referring to the women who have abortions AND call themselves Christian, yet still believe in the PRO-CHOICE movement.
There are many women who have repented of this monstrosity. God can save even the most vile among us!
Thank you for explaining further.
I agree.
You can bet your bottom dollar that the vast majority of the “Catholics” getting abortions come from hispanics who live in the da hood.
I don`t know if it is true or not but from what I have seen it would not surprise me.
It seems that even Christians view a college education for their young as much more important than the teachings of God.
Why is everyone ignoring the ACTUAL Guttmacher numbers as posted in posts 12 and 18 and that they date as January 2014?
That is a stunningly warped view of the Christian faith; even given the internal contradiction of the gibberish posted.
Huh?
I don’t know, Protestants are under represented in abortion, and Catholics are over represented, so the percentage of their numbers in the population might be accurate.
The numbers issues are the ones that Guttmacher actually uses versus what these writers use, they don’t match (for instance only 65% of the women are Christians, not 80%), and then the writers labels them as “”Those who claim to know Jesus and who protest against abortion the most account for nearly 80% of all abortions.”” which isn’t in the data at all and is a conclusion that is absurd to make.
I have seen many here on FR who claim to be pro-life, yet also make the claim that using contraceptives is morally no different than abortion,
“Keep in mind, a person that kills a child cannot be a Christian, and no matter how much they repent and seek forgiveness, their path to being Forgiven is one of great difficulty and impossibility”
Easy there chief. Impossible?
No matter how much they REPENT?
You have some sort of Biblical support for that claim? They heroes of the Bible were a long, long way from sainthood. David sent his best man in to battle, knowing he’d be killed, so he could bed the man’s wife. Moses killed a guard. One of Solomon’s many sexual partners convinced him that Baal worship was something he should try, and he did.
Paul killed a lot of Christians in his day.
Everybody thinks Christians are somehow made ‘perfect’ after being saved. Truth is, they are the same stuggling, miserable sinners they were before they were saved.
Difference is they were blessed, and that they had a reason to do everything in their power to climb out of the ooze of their own continuing misdeeds.
Sin is a break in our relationship with God. Through Christ, that breach can be healed.
It sounds like these women were given a poll and in that a choice of religion and denomination to choose. That doesn’t say much especially coming from Guttmacher which will want to attack Christianity all it can.
