Why bother asking your friends, neighbors, and fellow church goers to pray for you. They are dead in sin, just like the rest of us. At least the Blessed Mother is in Heaven, and as mother of Our Lord Jesus, we should treat her, as He treated her.
She needed, and was given, salvation. She was also given a singular grace, the grace to be conceived without original sin, so that she could be a pure vessel, a new ark, for Our Lord and Savior, God made man, Jesus Christ.
So God could make Mary sinless but needed a sinless woman to give birth because He couldn’t make Jesus sinless?
Because the Bible supports the practice: Praying for others.
Is there similar scriptural support for praying to Mary, angels and passed Christians? No there isn't.
Speak for yourself.
Born again believers are not dead in sin any more. They are alive in Christ.
It's irrelevant that they are still here on earth.
“Why bother asking your friends, neighbors, and fellow church goers to pray for you. They are dead in sin, just like the rest of us.”
I know they can hear my request. Also, I would never ask anyone who is not a born-again Christian to pray for me. True Christians, do as I suggested. They go boldly to the throne of grace. They petition the Father directly through the sole Mediator, Jesus Christ.
“She was also given a singular grace, the grace to be conceived without original sin...”
I’m sorry, but that’s unbiblical nonsense, an invention of popery.
