Greek “Hope,” the Pope, the Feasts and the Beasts
Rapture Ready ^ | 2/18/15 | Cynthia Nuara

“We have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place…” (2 Peter 1:19).

What does Tisha B’Av, the saddest day on the Jewish calendar, have to do with the new leader of Greece, who has just burst onto the world stage? What does Yom Kippur, the most solemn of the seven appointed Feast Days of the Lord, have to do with the pope? And what two things about the final blood moon of the tetrad on the Feast of Tabernacles (coming in September) make it different from the rest?

Of all the things I could have accidentally deleted that didn’t get into my recent article (Alexis the Great, Hope of Europe and the World?), was a section going into more detail concerning Tsipras and his Syriza party’s relationship with Israel, the most important nation in Bible prophecy. However, there have been some interesting developments in that regard since then.

“HOPE,” YOU SAY? NOT ON THAT DAY!

Well ... that author needs to go back to school and learn how to write better!

“The third beast is a leopard with four wings and four heads”

Leopard, leopard, in the sky—

Why’d you do that in my eye?

Aren’t you glad that cows don’t fly

What part of the article do you dispute?

I’m talking about the writing, itself. Otherwise, I don’t care about the content. The entire article is messy and haphazard.

As far as what I think, content-wise, I’ve already had the information up on my FReeper page for several years. Other than that, I don’t care.

It was posted; I read it ... and I see the writing is lousy. There’s nothing much more worth saying about it

That is just NOT true! I do not see her content or anything close to the scope of her content, already up on your FReeper page. You have quoted Isaiah 9:6-7 (nice), but her article has much much more to say. Are you so perfect that you can knock someones writing abilities? At least she is trying, and I, for one, applaud that.

The writing is lousy and it’s disorganized ... and that’s the exact point of my post.

As far as what my FReeper page says, that came up in response to Post #4, because I had no comment on the content. The point of referencing my FReeper page is that all one needs to know (from me) if one had a question about my position ... it’s there on that page.

BUT, as I said earlier, other than the author is a lousy writer (which was the essence of my comment) ... I don’t care.

As far as what is “NOT true” ... I don’t know what you’re talking about there.

Addicted to Mediocrity
http://www.crossway.org/books/addicted-to-mediocrity-tpb/

In this provocative book, Franky Schaeffer shows how Christians today have sacrificed the artistic prominence they enjoyed for centuries and settled instead for mediocrity. The evidence for this sad state of affairs abounds. We are flooded with “Christian” doodads, trinkets, t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc., that use God’s name as an advertising slogan—”Things Go Better with Jesus”—putting the Creator of the universe on the same level as soda pop! Moreover, Schaeffer writes, “Whenever Christians, and evangelicals in particular, have attempted to ‘reach the world’ through the media—TV, film, publishing and so on—the thinking public gets the firm idea that, like soup in a bad restaurant, Christians’ brains are best left unstirred.”

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Schaeffer shows how Christians who care can begin to reverse the slide toward mediocrity: by demanding excellence in the arts and media, and in all areas of life; by giving our time, talents and money to those things which are worthy of our support and are truly honoring to God; by staying away from the cheap, the shoddy, and the make-a-fast-buck mentality.

Schaeffer offers not only an unflinching critique, but specific and practical direction for becoming “unaddicted,” and for recovering artistic excellence. The punch, humor and satire of the text is effectively enhanced by nineteen original drawings by Chicago artist Kurt Mitchell.

It applies to writing, and writing with excellence, and not in a disorganized and messy fashion!

It’s a good thing God is not “Addicted to Mediocrity!” ... :-) ...
