Posts 279 and 280 involve your responses on this thread. I got involved when I asked for examples of bashing by Catholics on another thread. Redleghunter and xone sent me this thread and since you four had comments that got responses I wrote about them. I think you should know when people are talking about you behind your back. I hope I got everything right and didn't offend you. I thought you all did good!!

The second vet had picked up on the fact that the writer/lecturer was using Martin Luther to corroborate his position;however, Luther was a poor choice because of some of his vituperative comments on the Jews that were widely publicized,these were make after he left the church and serve to make him a less than credible spokesperson for the veracity of any ones position.

Which all had no bearing on the subject at hand. The comments attempted to impeach the author of the piece posted based on mentioning Luthers view of scriptures. Not anything to do with antisemitic comments of Luther.

Which if fairly applied to the Catholic church impeaches all RC doctrine and historical figures who actually practiced antisemitism in word and deed. Some of the figures of RC antisemitism in her history were popes and bishops some even today still referred to as "saints."

So putting nastiness aside, the entire Luther screed used to impeach a 21st century pastor giving a sermon backfires on a heavy dose of Catholic hypocrisy. It is that or a serious void of knowing Catholic church history.

John MacArthur, the author of the thread is a terrible anti-Catholic. And when he gets on one of his tangents he’s a terrible anti-Protestant. MacArthur believes in the gospel of John MacArthur and nothing else.

I don’t care if some “talk behind my back”. I am a soldier in the Church Militant and I stand up for my faith. I wouldn’t be much of a Christian if I didn’t.
