I think Henry VIII — even if you start counting only
after his break with Rome — probably killed more Protestants
than Mary did. He was not your friend.
Henry, those who objected to his break from Rome (personal, he desired Boleyn); Mary, those whose souls were lost to Protestantism (religious, she really believed this); Elizabeth, those who she felt were a threat to the throne (practical, she wanted to stay in power).
They all had different reasons, right or wrong. And anyone who thinks the Muslims have cornered the market on unjust murder and torture need to bone up on WORLD history.
