-— Protestants like the FREEDOM that comes from a Christ centered lifestyle. -—

The downside of the false freedom of “Scripture ALONE” is the proliferation of error, with each man interpreting the Bible as he sees fit.

This approach to divine revelation creates an enormous opportunity for rationalizing self-serving interpretations of Scripture.

The result is a wide and wild spectrum of beliefs, up to and including the rejection of the Trinity (Oneness Pentacostalism), and on issues of morality, “celebration” of homosexuality, birth control and remarriage after divorce.

But Jesus commanded us to “listen to the Church.” And Luther’s doctrine of “Scripture ALONE” is neither Scriptural, Traditional, historical, or Church Teaching.

Sure all of those might be viable reasons...but I do think the widely broadcast democrat denial of God in the party platform 2012 was the final straw.

It may or may not have had immediate influence on the vote of 2012, but I think many religious people have had a deep examination of conscience that isn’t going to fade very quickly going into 2016.

So you want to start shooting. Got it.

How many people do you need to kill to end abortion?

Still pushing your partial teachings I see.

Sigh...

STA apparently CHOOSES to give a false imprssion every time he writes:

"If he will not listen to the church, treat him as a pagan or tax collector." --Jesus

Matthew 18:15-17 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

15 But if thy brother shall offend against thee, go, and rebuke him between thee and him alone. If he shall hear thee, thou shalt gain thy brother.

16 And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.

17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican.

For such an assertive person, you are being very cryptic.

Give me an action list that you are proposing with specifics please. So far all I've got from you are vague accusations that Catholics aren't doing enough and an odd referral to ISIS that doesn't really make sense in any connotation I try to put it in.

I guess that CATHOLICS seem to be getting the brunt of my output here; mainly because some want to get so pious about carrying a sign.

Truth is; we are ALL equally guilty of ALLOWING this evil in our nation.

What part of Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness do we fail to understand?

I just saw a WWF commercial about TIGERS and the PLEA for money to STOP killing them.

Where are our PRIORITIES?

Men are DYING, trying to stop poachers from killing elephants for their ivory.

Where are our PRIORITIES?

I'm sure that many would like to see this.

They'll just have to suffer without it.

3,300 will die today.

3,300 will die tomorrow

3,300 will die on Friday...

I wonder...

...are there any 24 hours Service Centers in this country where a human life can be terminated at will?

Perhaps someday the folks who are against capital punishment against the guilty, will decide to get the Government to eliminate it for the INNOCENT.

Catholics got rid of “top down” management fifty years ago; that is why Dems win Catholic areas. Few Catholics are adhering to the teachings anymore; apparently they don’t want to be told what to do. In Europe it happened even longer ago...

Ahh.. so you're into that Evangelical Outreach ministries I see.

Here's one of their more interesting teachings:

Please know that Baptist beliefs and practices are far from being Biblical and consistent. They are spiritually dangerous and Christians should keep away...

I wasn't aware you believed that Baptists aren't Christian...

Here's a fun little ditty...

So according to them, even the Bible is evil.

Wow, the friends you keep Elsie.... errr maybe that's why you copied their stuff and didn't bother to give them credit??

So while the Catholics are only carrying signs, talking to women in personal crisis, housing young mothers, running orphanages, educating children about abortion, and other trivial actions...

What are YOU doing that has such greater impact? I’m open to better ideas. I infer a call to violence in your posts. John Brown wasn’t morally wrong, but I don’t remember him accomplishing anything, so you are going to need a better plan.

Joseph Smith Translation

Genesis 50:24–38

24 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die, and go unto my fathers; and I go down to my grave with joy. The God of my father Jacob be with you, to deliver you out of affliction in the days of your bondage; for the Lord hath visited me, and I have obtained a promise of the Lord, that out of the fruit of my loins, the Lord God will raise up a righteous branch out of my loins; and unto thee, whom my father Jacob hath named Israel, a prophet; (not the Messiah who is called Shilo;) and this prophet shall deliver my people out of Egypt in the days of thy bondage.

25 And it shall come to pass that they shall be scattered again; and a branch shall be broken off, and shall be carried into a far country; nevertheless they shall be remembered in the covenants of the Lord, when the Messiah cometh; for he shall be made manifest unto them in the latter days, in the Spirit of power; and shall bring them out of darkness into light; out of hidden darkness, and out of captivity unto freedom.

26 A seer shall the Lord my God raise up, who shall be a choice seer unto the fruit of my loins.

27 Thus saith the Lord God of my fathers unto me, A choice seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren.

28 And he shall bring them to the knowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers; and he shall do whatsoever work I shall command him.

29 And I will make him great in mine eyes, for he shall do my work; and he shall be great like unto him whom I have said I would raise up unto you, to deliver my people, O house of Israel, out of the land of Egypt; for a seer will I raise up to deliver my people out of the land of Egypt; and he shall be called Moses. And by this name he shall know that he is of thy house; for he shall be nursed by the king’s daughter, and shall be called her son.

30 And again, a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins, and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins; and not to the bringing forth of my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them in the last days;

31 Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together unto the confounding of false doctrines, and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to a knowledge of their fathers in the latter days; and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.

32 And out of weakness shall he be made strong, in that day when my work shall go forth among all my people, which shall restore them, who are of the house of Israel, in the last days.

33 And that seer will I bless, and they that seek to destroy him shall be confounded; for this promise I give unto you; for I will remember you from generation to generation; and his name shall be called Joseph, and it shall be after the name of his father; and he shall be like unto you; for the thing which the Lord shall bring forth by his hand shall bring my people unto salvation.

34 And the Lord sware unto Joseph that he would preserve his seed forever, saying, I will raise up Moses, and a rod shall be in his hand, and he shall gather together my people, and he shall lead them as a flock, and he shall smite the waters of the Red Sea with his rod.

35 And he shall have judgment, and shall write the word of the Lord. And he shall not speak many words, for I will write unto him my law by the finger of mine own hand. And I will make a spokesman for him, and his name shall be called Aaron.

36 And it shall be done unto thee in the last days also, even as I have sworn. Therefore, Joseph said unto his brethren, God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land, unto the land which he sware unto Abraham, and unto Isaac, and to Jacob.

37 And Joseph confirmed many other things unto his brethren, and took an oath of the children of Israel, saying unto them, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.

38 So Joseph died when he was an hundred and ten years old; and they embalmed him, and they put him in a coffin in Egypt; and he was kept from burial by the children of Israel, that he might be carried up and laid in the sepulchre with his father. And thus they remembered the oath which they sware unto him.

They MUST have gotten that Idea from YOUR leader!

Here is MORMONism's own creed:

Articles of Faith

The Articles of Faith outline 13 basic points of belief of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Prophet Joseph Smith first wrote them in a letter to John Wentworth, a newspaper editor,
in response to Mr. Wentworth's request to know what members of the Church believed.
They were subsequently published in Church periodicals.
They are now regarded as scripture and included in the Pearl of Great Price.

THE ARTICLES OF FAITH
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
  10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
  11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
  12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
  13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Joseph Smith

“But Jesus commanded us to “listen to the Church.”

Do you have a Scriptural reference or is this just false teaching as usual?

“And Luther’s doctrine of “Scripture ALONE” is neither Scriptural, Traditional, historical, or Church Teaching.”

Don’t know about Luther and don’t really care, but Scripture does say Scripture alone. Notice it says distort the Gospel, also look at Ephesians 4:14-15, 2 Corinthians 11:4

Galatians 1:6-7 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Perversion of the Gospel

6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you [a]by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
Footnotes:
Galatians 1:6 Lit in
“Scripture quotations taken from the New American Standard Bible®,
Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1963, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973,
1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation
Used by permission.” (www.Lockman.org)

IAW with OT Scripture teachings the only guidance was to be from Scripture. Every time the Jews got into trouble was not following Scripture and then following their man made Religious/Priestly rules and Jesus said so. Matthew 15:1-5 and Luke 11:37-54

Your denomination has changed tradition more than once so don’t lecture anyone on this big so called for ever tradition stuff it just don’t hold water.

“But the concept of a sacrament was insufficiently developed in the ancient Church, and there was dispute about which Christian rituals and practices should be called sacraments.”

Honestly, I’m not so much concerned about you, as I am irritated.

One of the first things I learned as an adult is that pointing out a problem, without offering up a solution is just whining. Rarely is it of any help to the overall cause. Castagating people in the ring from the sidelines, for not fighting harder, really isn’t helpful.

So, I’m providing you the opportunity to be more than whiney, and bless us all with a grand plan or at least a logical sequence of events. If its a good, workable plan, you might be surprised by people getting onboard with it.

But crying out for blood isn’t a plan. It can be helpful when you need to get people fired up, but sooner or later you will actually need a plan. So, what is your plan? Kill enought Leftists that they surrender, and then never allow them to vote or hold a positions of public trust again? I don’t see that being a workable plan at this stage.

I presume you are aware that although violence can be necessary, it can also be counterproductive to a cause. If the rebels at the Boston Tea Party had chosen to slit the crews’ throats and put the Captain’s head on a spike, I’m fairly certain that the net effect would have been to bolster the Crown. So simply screaming that people need to start shedding blood isn’t sufficient, nor is it responsible. If you start a revolution without a plan, you end up with a group like Bolsheviks taking over, because they’ve got a plan.

To repeat a sentiment I’ve heard, we are in that awkward stage when its too late to work within the system and too early to start shooting. I appreciate your frustration, but casting stones at people for not being able to solve a problem that you can’t solve doesn’t make you a genius or righteous.

Leftists took over by taking control of education and the news media. Perhaps we should start by taking them back.
