Bruce Jenner Thinks Christ Accepts His Sex Change
The Christian Diarist ^ | April 26, 2015 | JP

Posted on 04/26/2015 7:30:49 AM PDT by CHRISTIAN DIARIST

“I’m a woman.” So said Bruce Jenner, during his coming out appearance this past Friday on a special two-hour edition of the ABC News program “20/20.”

And that’s not the only shocking revelation Jenner confided to interviewer Diane Sawyer. “She” also claimed to be a Republican, a conservative and a Christian.

Well, it’s conceivable that Jenner is a Republican. After all, there’s a LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) group that calls itself the Log Cabin Republicans.

It’s also possible that Jenner is a “conservative.” Indeed, there have been any number of conservative lawmakers – including former Idaho Senator Larry Craig, a homosexual, and former Florida congressman Mark Foley – who were outed as homosexuals.

But there’s no way that Jenner, who is “transitioning” from male to female, is a true Christ follower.

Indeed, in his letter to the Church at Corinth, the Apostle Paul advised: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Does that mean any and every one of us who has committed any of those aforementioned sins is unsaved; that we have condemned ourselves to “the second death,” as John of Patmos put it, when we appear before the judgment seat of Christ?

No.

Because, the Scripture assures us: “If we confess our sins, He is just and faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”

Conversely, “If we say that we have no sin,” as Jenner, the transgender in the making maintains, “we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

So it matters not if Jenner attends church every Sunday; if he tithes what earns for his upcoming reality show; if he reads his Bible every day; if he prays first thing each morning, and last thing every night.

If he unrepentantly undergoes a sex change, if he refuses to acknowledge that doing so is an abomination in the eyes of God, he will be in open rebellion against his Creator.

That’s why Christ warned us, everyone: “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”

What that says is that we are not to surrender ourselves to sin; to deceive ourselves that God will forgive us for our unconfessed, unrepented adultery or financial wrongdoing or substance abuse or acts of violence or twisted sexual orientation.

If Jenner truly was a Christian, he would not blithely embrace transgenderism. No, he would fall on his knees and ask the Lord to free him from Satan’s grip. For greater is He who is in Bruce Jenner – who is in all of us struggling with sin – than he who is in the world.

Jenner is no different from any other sinner. He’s made an irreversible decision to mutilate his body but perhaps in the aftermath, his internal torment will not go away and he will come to realize that he has been deceived.

I am with you. I will leave the judgement to God.
Everyday, I try to follow the Lord’s first 2 commandments (Matthew 22:37-40), and I don’t do a perfect job as it is.

Is it because he’s trying to replace the woman he killed?

God does not remember our past sins, but if we continue to move into the future as willful sinners, I think that is a separate matter.

I know you think that, but that is not what God says in the New Covenant of grace. The law, which we are no longer under, makes sense to us. That is why we hold on to it. But grace is hard for us to understand. We need God to help us and he will if we ask him.

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

I cannot speak for God.

Let Him speak for himself in his declaration of the New Covenant of grace in His blood.

their sins and iniquities will I remember no more Heb 8:12,10:17.

Please clarify: do you think Paul wrote "God-breathed" Scripture as inspired by the Holy Spirit?

Or, alternatively, do you think the Biblical books after the Gospel of John are not Scripture?

Or --- how would you put it in your own words?

A mentally ill person can be a Christian if he accepts the gift of salvation.

Christians do not have to satisfy the Old Testament laws. If you think you have to obey those laws (or whatever replacement laws you invent for yourself), then you are not a Christian. The requirements for being a Christian are very few.

Of course God hates sin and the demonstration of how much He hates sin is his exacting the full punishment and condemnation for every sin of every person on the body of his beloved Son. IT IS FINISHED.

He’s also getting a TV show. So draw your own conclusions.

“He’s still a man in God’s eyes, and no amount of self-deception will change that.”

You assume Bruce Jenner was born as a man, but you have no way of knowing whether or not he actually was born as a man.

I'm trying to take these into consideration:

John 14:15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." (said Jesus)

John 14:21
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them." (said Jesus)

John 14:23
Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them."

John 15:10
"If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love." (said Jesus)

1 John 2:3
We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.

1 John 5:3
In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

2 John 1:6
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

It is not finished for those who do not repent. It is not finished for those who reject God’s offer of peace and forgiveness. It is not finished for those who call God a liar and who rejoice in their sin and promote sin to others.

“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” - Jesus

God’s love is constant and ever present.

We chose to seperate ourselves from it by our actions. When Jenner (or anyone else for that matter) wants to stop seperating themselves from God. God and his eternal love will still be there waiting as he always was. All that is needed is for the sinner (us) to open the door.

All of that is good, but our works are not the basis of our salvation. Our salvation is based on HIS works. So our salvation is by the grace of God through the perfect sacrifice of His Son.

Once we get that, we can approach ourselves and others like Bruce Jenner with NO CONDEMNATION because God does not condemn us no matter what we do (Rom 8:1; Heb 8:12, 10:17).

Bruce is not helping the cause of Christ IMO, so what he’s done is not helpful and is sin. We can judge the act but not the person. We have no right to go behind the blood of Jesus like Satan tries to, and judge he who Jesus died for.

The problem is Jenner is talking about another Christ. The danger here cannot be overestimated.

How about Hebrews 10:26-27 GW Translation?

26 If we go on sinning after we have learned the truth, no sacrifice can take away our sins. 27 All that is left is a terrifying wait for judgment and a raging fire that will consume God’s enemies.

But we can know who Christ is. Knowing who Christ is includes knowing what he wants.

God gave woman to man and provides man for woman. What Jenner is doing is an abomination.

But in my opinion, people who continue to live a willfully sinful life while saying, "I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior" might actually be hedging their bets and not acting out of sincerity. I guess I don't know how Jesus will see the matter, but I have known some really awful people who saw themselves as good Christians.

Hebrews 10:26-27 GW Translation

26 If we go on sinning after we have learned the truth, no sacrifice can take away our sins. 27 All that is left is a terrifying wait for judgment and a raging fire that will consume God’s enemies.
