“I’m a woman.” So said Bruce Jenner, during his coming out appearance this past Friday on a special two-hour edition of the ABC News program “20/20.”
And that’s not the only shocking revelation Jenner confided to interviewer Diane Sawyer. “She” also claimed to be a Republican, a conservative and a Christian.
Well, it’s conceivable that Jenner is a Republican. After all, there’s a LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) group that calls itself the Log Cabin Republicans.
It’s also possible that Jenner is a “conservative.” Indeed, there have been any number of conservative lawmakers – including former Idaho Senator Larry Craig, a homosexual, and former Florida congressman Mark Foley – who were outed as homosexuals.
But there’s no way that Jenner, who is “transitioning” from male to female, is a true Christ follower.
Indeed, in his letter to the Church at Corinth, the Apostle Paul advised: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
Does that mean any and every one of us who has committed any of those aforementioned sins is unsaved; that we have condemned ourselves to “the second death,” as John of Patmos put it, when we appear before the judgment seat of Christ?
No.
Because, the Scripture assures us: “If we confess our sins, He is just and faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”
Conversely, “If we say that we have no sin,” as Jenner, the transgender in the making maintains, “we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
So it matters not if Jenner attends church every Sunday; if he tithes what earns for his upcoming reality show; if he reads his Bible every day; if he prays first thing each morning, and last thing every night.
If he unrepentantly undergoes a sex change, if he refuses to acknowledge that doing so is an abomination in the eyes of God, he will be in open rebellion against his Creator.
That’s why Christ warned us, everyone: “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”
What that says is that we are not to surrender ourselves to sin; to deceive ourselves that God will forgive us for our unconfessed, unrepented adultery or financial wrongdoing or substance abuse or acts of violence or twisted sexual orientation.
If Jenner truly was a Christian, he would not blithely embrace transgenderism. No, he would fall on his knees and ask the Lord to free him from Satan’s grip. For greater is He who is in Bruce Jenner – who is in all of us struggling with sin – than he who is in the world.
Is self mutilation akin to suicide? And why did our creator bring the flood?
“He is the biological father of SIX children. Yes, Jenner was born a man and will die a man.”
Are you aware of the fact there are whole communities of people where you can have families in which 25 percent of the children are born as females and then proceed to naturally transform into fertile males upon reaching puberty, marry, and father children?
“You’re using an awful lot of words to simply tell us you dig trannies.”
Don’t be a liar in an effort to bully and demonstrate your ignorance and your unChristian conduct. Human sexuality is just as complex as human biochemistry is complex, as any reproductive medical doctor can testify. The role of DHT in human sexual development alone is quite complex and prone to a myriad of developmental differences. That is simple reality.

That is pretty extraordinary claim. Can you back that up with a responsible source?
I have read the bible carefully, and there is nothing in it about sex changes.....and it covers a lot—it even prohibits eating pork.
So I am going to leave this between God and Bruce, where it belongs and not judge him.
And hope, just hope, that maybe he is not as strict on that bacon thing with me.

There are a wide variety of sources which discuss biological protandry and human protandry. Some of them come from the Liberal sources because it is of concern to them, but there are also a number of medical and scientific sources as well. IIRC, the National Institute of Health may have an article on the topic in regard to the medical research looking at the Batista family. There are also reported to be populations in the Dominican Republic and Papua New Guinea.
Note, Bruce Jenner’s situation is unlikely to be such a case of protandry, but the religious circumstances for a person experiencing protandry illustrates how jumping to conclusions in a state of willful ignorance about the often strange realities of human biological sexuality can result in false judgments contrary to Christian values.

That is telling us how we should live now that we have received Jesus, but none of it is a basis for our salvation.
We are saved by grace, not by works, and there is no condition other than calling out on the name of Jesus (Rom 10:13). There’s been a change since the cross which many ignore, but the New Covenant declared Jesus sacrifice perfect and eternal and God does not hold our sins against us (Heb 8:12,10:17).
We could go on and on like this but I’m not sure what good it will do. You are simply ignoring fact that Jesus has already paid for the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2), that God has done it all and IT IS FINISHED, and the terms of the New Covenant that declare he will not hold our sins against us because they were already fully judged on the body of His Son. For God to condemn Bruce after he has received Jesus is making God out to be an unjust liar.
God has done it all and all that remains is for us to accept his FREE GIFT. You put repentance as you perceive it as the requirement, although thankfully, God does not. His only requirement is receiving His Son who has done it all.
BTW, what is New Testament “repentance” anyway? It is “repentance from dead works”. What’s that? Dead works are your own righteousness and self effort to be accepted by God instead of letting Jesus’ perfect life and death be your substitute and your righteousness as a gift (Rom 5:17).
Good works are fine but not the basis of our salvation. Jesus’ sacrifice is perfect and complete for all eternity. HE has paid the price for all the sins of the whole world (1 John 2:2).
I’ve never heard such a thing. I asked you to provide a source as you made the claim. A cursory search showed nothing.

It depends upon what you are talking about whether or not any person can honestly judge one way or another. To illustrate the point, try answering a slightly different version of your own question. “Are you saying God created trannies through human protandry and then commanded Christians to condemn what God created?”
I love it when liberals try to manipulate Christians with Bible verse. Your master, Satan, did the same thing after Jesus fasted for forty days in the wilderness.
Concerning judging, did Jesus not ask “Do you not know you will judge the Angels?” (Paraphrased)

Can you formulate a value based opinion (a judgement) concerning a person’s consumption of alcohol? Can you not say “this man drinks all day long and is adversely effecting his health?”
There is a mental health condition where certain people seek to have limbs amputated. Are we wrong to judge this as harmful?
Can a sane person get through life without judging?

Such things happen in amphibians but I’ve never heard of humans experiencing a spontaneous sex organ transformation.
Some will go to incredible lengths to justify their perversions.
