When my older daughter was about 4-12, she had a friend across the street the same age. She went over there one day and left n a hurry. She later found out this family had been messing around with the board. She told me a few years ago that there was a feeling of evil in the house. Do not mess with it.
Those make my skin crawl. Whew!
Where is the word “necromancy” in the bible?
Good grief....the weak attempts by catholics to defend their practices.
Why do you say that is weak?
Protestants are always asking where the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption are in the Bible. Are those weak, too, in your judgment?
Oops needed to go to here.

...”Where is the word necromancy in the bible?”.....
Where is the word pergatory?...Where is the word transubstantiation?...where is the word Rosary ?
Being a Catholic the answer is simple: Jesus Christ.
Here's a close up
Muslims get mad when you point out that Allah is really the moon god and Catholics get mad when you point out they are worshiping the Mary of catholicism and the saints when they pray to them.......
....They should consider that when a child stands in the middle of a room and puts his hand over his eyes and says, “you can’t see me”, that doesn’t mean they are invisible, except in the mind of the child..... Roman Catholics put their hands over their eyes and say, “We do no worship idols and we do not consider praying to Mary and act of worship”. Saying so doesn’t make it so.
As is written.....”You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition.” Mark 7:7-9
Necromancy is the word for praying/communicating with the dead.
Praying to the dead is forbidden in the Word....hence....necromancy. Deut 18:11 translates the Hebrew verb as "or a necromancer."
The Immaculate Conception and Assumption are no where found in the Bible so they aren't even weak. They didn't happen.
Even catholics admit the IC cannot be found in Scripture. That in itself should be enough to tell you the idea is without validity.
An appeal to the ECFs will show they are all over the board on the issue of the IC. So there is no uniform agreement. The old tennis rule comes into play....when in doubt, call it out.
Regarding the Assumption.....
Could God have done this? Yes, as we have evidence with Enoch and Elijah. However, we have no record of Mary's "assumption" in the Word. John, who was trusted with care of Mary did not record it in any of his writings.
The problem with the IC and the Assumption is that they move the catholic toward a worship of Mary and assigning her a position and power not accorded to her in Scripture.
Here we have catholics trying to transfer an annointing from a stone idol in Jerusalem to their crosses.
Being a Catholic the answer is simple: Jesus Christ.
That's weird. Did the popes change the plan of salvation after I left the Catholic Church? The priests and nuns taught us that Jesus only did enough for us, to make it possible for us to join the RCC, get baptized, and try to lead a good life, then, I had a chance, even a very slight chance to go to Heaven. Maybe those priests and nuns taught us wrong, but if they did, what else did they tell me that was wrong? I believe in only scripture and only faith, and I have no intention of leaving my salvation to chance. If you want to, that's fine. I just won't do it, though I can't imagine why anyone would feel good about doing that. I also have a feeling that your definition of faith, and mine are different. So be it.
If this is what veneration looks like before body parts retrieved from the grave....as we've been told it is time and again...., bowing , bending of the knees and hands together in a prayerful manner.......then what does catholic worship look like?????
Actually it's exposing the false practices and rituals of the catholic church which we are called to do....just as Jesus exposed the Pharisees and Sadducee's.
Will these bones rise again?
