Even the agnostics recognized them as bashing.
The Pope is not off limits for me.
I have called him “Francis the talking Mule” right here on Free Republic.
He has elected to put himself into politics, so IMHO, he has left himself wide open to criticism.
On the other hand, the articles Jim addressed were anti-Catholic, “flame-bait.” A small group of daily posters were pinged and they flocked to those threads to post the same daily diatribe that the the Catholic Church is a CULT, that it’s evil, etc. Rational discussion was impossible, because that was not the purpose or intent.
I have always believed that Christians are Christians, whether Catholic or Protestant.
Dont try and play innocent now...I have seen the stuff you post....you are up to your neck in it.

I thought identifying a religious thread as (Caucus) was suppose to take care of this problem, if some one violates it they would be dealt with, those who are easily offended/insulted should label their threads (Caucus)otherwise the thread is open; there is a whole lot of bashing going on in both religious and political threads.
Why not just reinstate the Caucus Rule, those who are so easily offended should use the Caucus Rule, those who do not invoke the Caucus Rule have no right to be offended at least to the point of complaining about it, problem solved.
Not a problem with me I have no allegiance to any religion only to the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, no man or religion can take his place, he is the one who truly loves and cares for the offended.

What about the Tozer threads I posted that contained ZERO references to Catholicism that some Catholic keyworded as “Catholic bashing”?
There needs to be more objective criteria for determining what that exactly is.
If it’s subjective, then it’s open to being anything that someone happens to take offense to.
I have also seen the claim that Catholics NEVER bash Prots.
It appears that Prots, then, are fair game.
Do you think that many of the Catholic threads that are sometimes posted are historical and educational? Thus to be honest, they must include the Protestant part too.
It’s not bashing non-Catholics to post the facts as shown in history.

I see that after the last post to which I responded. I can take the bashing, even on this thread, in which I have to defend the faith.
But why do people just go on bashing?

I speak as both as a Christian and as a Roman Catholic and when it comes to Christians regardless of the church one goes to, can ill-afford to be bashing each other at a time when there is growing anti-Christan feeling in the USA right now. We Christians MUST LOVE one another and be witnesses for the Gospel.
