We can either stand up as Catholics/Christians or we can acquiescence in the overrun of Europe by middle eastern men shepherded by weak-willed politicians and an Argentinian Pope. To me, it is the proverbial no-brainer. No nice photograph of a pretty matron holding a sweet baby is going to change my mind.

I wrote "How very American of you" because xenophobic Americans demand that individuals immediately shed centuries of culture and take on American values - which in this case was absolutely ludicrous, considering the fact that this family wasn't even in America to begin with.
In fact, if you've ever read history, immigrants who came to America 100 years ago congregated in common communities. There were Italian neighborhoods, Jewish neighborhoods, German neighborhoods, Irish neighborhoods, each with their own way of dressing, talking, and so forth. Yes, dressing.
Did they eventually assimilate? Yes. Are the immigrants today assimilating? Most aren't, and that's the rub. But to arrogantly demand that this woman immediately throw off her "muslim" dress is absolutely insulting. Jewish communities, especially Hasidic communities, still have strange ways of dressing. Are you going to mock them also?
She’s remarkably well-dressed and with perfect make-up. She and the baby are beautiful. It seems suspicious to me, particularly with all of the men who are “refugees”.
How shameful that some of you can't or won't distinguish between a Middle Eastern Muslim and a Middle Eastern Christian.
