What your post is completely missing there, caww, is that those priests you put forward are going directly against the formal teachings and doctrines of the Catholic Church.   The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual activities and behaviors are serious, mortal sins, and that they should never be engaged in.

Those protestant denominations I mentioned to you in my post #15 (and many other protestant denominations which you can find if you simply do that Google search I also placed into my post #15) actually teach that those perverted, queer activities and behaviors are NOT sins.   (Look those protestant denominations and their teachings up to confirm that fact in your own mind.)

That is the difference.

An early follower of Jesus Christ, Judas Iscariot, turned away from Jesus Christ, and started engaging in activities and behaviors which went directly against the teachings of Jesus Christ.   Would you then foolishly say that Jesus Christ and His teachings were wrong, or would you be honest enough to say the truth, that Jesus Christ and His teachings were right, and it was Judas Iscariot and his wicked, sinful activities and behaviors which went against the teachings of Jesus Christ which were actually what was wrong there?

By the way, caww, an honest look at the three "priests" you featured in your post, reveals the following:

  1. Father Phillip Lichtenwalter is in the "American National Catholic Church", which is in no way affiliated with the real Catholic Church.  (That would be like you making the "caw catholic church", and saying you were going to change catholic teachings.   Ridiculous.)

  2. Father Rich Danyluk was booted out of his priestly assignments in 2007.

  3. Father Krzysztof Charamsa was fired from his Vatican job, and removed from all his priestly assignments.
Honesty is always the best policy.

You agree then that the Catholic church has more than it's own share of sexual deviants....This was not about honesty as you alluded to....The point, which you missed, was that the catholic church is in no position to critique what the reformation accomplished or not....when they're own backyard is jam packed full of 'sexual deviates'.......The Catholic Church is been and remains unique in 'its history' of 'enabling sexual abuse' by its priests 'and preventing' the criminal prosecution which should have ensue from such abuse.....

...."The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual activities and behaviors are serious, mortal sins, and that they should never be engaged in"......

The Pope says otherwise....he who claims as the Vicar of Christ....For a Church that has historically linked the word “homosexual” with the word “sin,” the idea of welcoming gays in any capacity is a significant shift...As you may know the "snod" continues to meet regarding homosexuality...the fact they are doing so evidences the "shift" will likely come full circle in accepting homosexuals as members as long as they don't have sex....for it's a "sexual" issue rather than a so called sexual identity issue for the church....they are fast seeing homosexuality as acceptable identiyt they are born with....
