Basically, he thought it was cool that Jews and Christians had their religion in a book and he wanted the mostly illiterate, polytheistic, idol worshiping Arabs to get with the 7th century program and follow him in worshiping the one true God. The new religion became popular with the local camel bandits after Mo made some changes, because it told them Allah gave them permission to take what ever they wanted from anyone who refused to embrace Islam - to submit, and to kill or enslave anyone who resisted.

Allah is just another name for the same God worshiped by Jews and Christians.

And you don't think that there is “just a little bit of contrast (like between “Worshiping GOD” and “Worshiping EVIL”) between those two sentences you just wrote?

How is God tangible? Do you mean when He was on earth as Jesus?

True story just a couple of months or so old;

We (school board) voted to get rid of an entire K through 5th grade reading curriculum and adopt a common core instead (I voted no .. the only "no")

I asked if I could have the books

I'm married to a Filipina and I have sent books to the Philippines in the past

I got the OK and when I went to the loading dock I realized I had spoken way too soon .....

Three pallets .. 4' X 4' X 4' of books!

Three pick-up loads to my front yard and preparation for divorce once my wife saw what I had done (she knew about "some" books ... but THIS !!?? )

I called to see what the cost to deliver the Ph and it was way more than I could afford

A couple of days later I had a conversation with a Christian school regarding a didfferent matter and, after concluding ... I asked if they could use these books

Next day a teacher came out with a sheath of papers in her hands and starting praising the Lord !

Here in Pa the state has passed no budget and ALL schools (Christian charters as well) have no funds to purchase anything, let alone pay salaries, etc

My school had voted out the exact curriculum the Christian shool had ordered but were operating without because they had no books at all

What God had provided was K through 5, reading on three levels (below, average and advanced), with teachers' manuals and tests in shrink wrap all in good to excellent condition

We voted to replace these books for $156K (which, BTW .. we don't have because of the budget stalemate0 ... so God provided a Christian school with all the reading material that was originally (in MY mind) going to go to a third world country

In answer to your first question, “If the Kaaba was destroyed, where would muslims point their compass to locate allah?” It will be Jerusalem.

Proof? No.

Yet that the laws of mathematics and physics came out of the first microseconds of the creation event, I believe is very powerful evidence for God.

As for Jesus much later, He made powerful arguments for adherence to “The law and the prophets”, which I also believe were the work of God.

As for islam, Deuteronomy 4:19 and Malachi 1:11 seem far more egalitarian and all embracing than does mohammad’s supremacist and hate filled quran.

Thus, IMHO, there is but the One God.

I was recently listening to an Iranian Iman on some video, and he said that with the Caliphate the true center of Islam, Jerusalem would be restored as the center of worship. I suspect the hatred of the Saudis will someday be responsible for Mecca’s destruction, and the shift to Jerusalem.
