Pope Francis' whole (3 year) pontificate has been rife with ambiguities, non-sequiturs, self-contradictory and off-the-wall statements, and a mishmash of Magisterial, prudential, DIY and Buzzfeed-level content.
"Let's enjoy the cultural enrichment of an Arab* Invasion" is not one of his more glorious teaching moments.
BTW, it eludes me why he used the word "Arab" rather than "Muslim." A lot of the self-styled "refugees" are not Arab (they're Eastern Assyrian, Pashtun, Kurdish, Somali, etc. etc.) and this just turns it into an Arab ethnos thing, seems to me. But as usual, it's a dog's-breakfast.
Yep and right now it is a proxy war between the Gulf
states and Iran (Houthis). Add in the anarchy of Al Qaeda and ISS and you get the hell Yemen is living through right now. Yes, many Moslems are dying in this but at the end of the day, there will still be lots or Sunni’s and Shiites left. As Christians are killed or forced to flee, those communities may never return. Part of the plan for 1400 years.
Another item I have not seen reported much is the priest that was working with the nuns is still missing:
One of the priests, the only Catholic priest in Aden, Fr. Thomas Uzhunnali, from Kerala, India, was living with the sisters in this building at the time of the attack, since his parish residence was destroyed last September. He was praying in the chapel of the retirement home when the killers arrived, and was taken away by them, according to the mother superior of the community of Missionaries of Charity in Aden who, press reports say, managed to hide and so avoided being killed in the attack. It is not known what happened to him.
God bless
He will die a martyr to the faith...no more glorious way to die.
