Ah, my apologies. And the same to you! :)
Looks like a good movie.
From apparent curses, to miracles, to blessings. Such a great story!
He conclusion is determined by his question-begging (and false) premise. AMAZING TESTIMONIES VIDEOS (700 club)
“A hundred million miracles are happening every day.”
I couldn’t go to bed without knowing what song that is from. I thought “Flower Drum Song” and looked it up....I was right. Fabulous movie!!!
"If miracles are not occurring, something has gone wrong." -- A Course in Miracles
Yes, it does.
“There is no spot where God is not.”
I hope you’re proud of yourself - I got stuck listening to the other Flower Drum songs - haven’t heard them in years tho’ I have the long play album....too much time spent on the computer to play records anymore. Thank you.....
I have a record cabinet full of Broadway albums inherited from my parents.
we experience miracles everyday...a male and a female have a sexual relationship...., 9 months later they have a child......now the physical relationship can explain the physical child......but lo and behold, that child has a life, an awareness, is alert....not just a blob of cells it is definitely a miracle
Great post TBP. Probably one of the few times we’ll ever agree on something.
Do You Believe in Miracles?
Yepper, Big Time....She married me....
Coincidence - God’s middle name.
When you think about it...there is even the miracle of life in things we cannot hardly even see (i.e., bacteria, fungus, viruses, gnats). We are surrounded by miracles.
Yep.
That’s what my daughter is going to be saying in a few more years. The Broadway albums are my favorites. I started buying them in the early ‘50’s.... Do you listen to any of them? I doubt my daughter will.
We moved when we retired and I couldn’t bear to get rid of any and the weight of them (plus books) is considerable. Glad moving companies don’t charge by the pound!
Ye, I love them and I listen to Broadway music regularly. We even listen to a radio program called “Footlight Parade: Sounds of the American Musical”. It’s available through http://www.prx.org if you don’t hve a local station that carris it. You can find out more at http://www.musicaltheaterproject.org
I’m actually working on something called “The Philosophy of Broadway”. Not totally sure what form it will take yet.
As Bill Rudman, the host of the show and the Musical Theater Project, says, Broadway “is an industry that believes inhuman potential.” Very much in line with my own worldview and some of the ideas in the article that started this thread.
Contemplate this quote from Broadway lyricist Yip Harburg: “Words make us think a thought. Music makes us feel a feeling. But a song makes us feel a thought.”
“”Words make us think a thought. Music makes us feel a feeling. But a song makes us feel a thought.””
This is what I feel every time I hear obozo speak:
“Words! Words! Words! I’m so sick of words. I hear words all day long, first from him, now from you.”
I don’t need to tell you what show that’s from....
Thanks for the link - will check it out for sure..
