Wasn’t an insult. It was a serious response to a ludicrous question.

...the REQUIREMENT for salvation is faith alone. Amen.
Now every one of our FR Catholics will agree with this statement.
While conveniently leaving out the OTHER 'necessary' things that 'follow' faith.

Are you more clever than satan?Sure!
For I've thrown myself at Jesus' feet:
Lord; have nercy on me; a sinner.

While Rome INSISTS that it DOES mean cousins...Francis should man up and INSIST that the next CATHOLIC translation of the verses into English say cousins!

There are 10 kinds of people in the world.
Those that understand binary numbers and those who don't.

It was a serious response to a ludicrous question. It appears that the adjectives, in your sentence, got transposed.

Francis should man up and INSIST that the next CATHOLIC translation of the verses into English say cousins! Matthew 13:55 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
Is he not the carpenters son? Is not his mother named Mary and his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?

...that the next CATHOLIC translation of the verses into English say cousins! But this would shift the 'argument' into the hands of the REALLY learned folks; and OUT of the hands of amateur Catholic apologist wannabes.

It was not a ludicrous question, and just a simple yes or no would have sufficed.
Also, when you said, “If you are honest the very most you can say is: ‘There is scriptural backing, we just choose to read/ interpret it differently.’”, you implicitly supported the counter to your argument, since the counter to you argument has always been discussed from scripture, but not as you interpret it. You gave away the store with this statement, as you have allowed the option for other interpretations of the text.

Not to people that view the Bible in it's entirety. Unfortunately, this is not something Roman Catholicism is equipped to do.

Yet Catholicism reaches outside of the Bible for so much of its false theology including the belief Mary was a virgin her whole life.
BTW....still waiting on your Greek explanation of Like 1:34.
I'll be growing hay on the moon while you work on it.
