It dosn't matter what flag of convince those folks and others like them fly, or even why. What matters is every one of them has denied their faith by publicly stating that they decide these matters for themselves after prayer and reading Scripture, exactly the same thing non-Catholic preach as the proper way to decide moral issues.

It's about time people quit pretending they're even Catholic and acknowledging them as being Catholic. They're not Catholic, nor are a large number of the Bishops in this country. We're in the midst of an era as bad as the era of the Arian heresy when 80% of the Bishops were Arian rather than Catholic and the laity need to face that fact.

I agree. Except I would have left off the “I guess” at the end of your post.
There is no perfect candidate. I believe that to be true. And I’m not happy to think of being in the position of voting for a candidate I don’t like to keep from having another candidate I don’t like from being president.

This election is a reflection of the decline in our society at this time.

Is there a FReeper priest who will tell us if he’s ever had a penitent confess to having voted Democrat? Would that be “breaking the seal” of the confessional if the identity is not revealed?
