All the people posting all these religious posts, believe in their own concept of Jesus. But not Jesus the person. They follow that concept, but not the real thing.

Could you explain the concept of the Mormon Jesus?

Except the popes who are supposed to be Christ's representatives on this earth, according to their own claims.

And these guys represent the Catholic religion and claim to be standing in Christ's stead.

All the people posting all these religious posts, believe in their own concept of Jesus. But not Jesus the person. They follow that concept, but not the real thing.

How do you know what Jesus they believe in? Did they tell you? Did you do a survey and ask them?

So prove your point that everyone believes in their own version of Jesus. Show us the post numbers. Back up your claim.

But the Mormon Jesus fits that description and it's in writing for all to see.

You know, not the one found in Scripture who is God with us, virgin born.

The Mormon Jesus is not God come in the flesh, but rather the half brother of Satan being born of Mary after she and God had sex.

That Mormon Jesus is *NOT* the Jesus of the Bible.

[SP]All the people posting all these religious posts, believe in their own concept of Jesus. But not Jesus the person. They follow that concept, but not the real thing.

[metmom]How do you know what Jesus they believe in? Did they tell you? Did you do a survey and ask them?

This is probably the most demonstrable point there is in all of Christendom. In other words, it's easy.

1. Their concept of Jesus doesn't require works as a requirement for salvation only belief.
How many times has this been repeated on this forum?

2. The real Jesus says the complete opposite. He actually explains it in detail.

Matt 25
31 ¶When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

When the Savior returns He will separate those who are saved and those that are to be cast out.

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Jesus says that it's because of what they did that qualified them for His grace. The Apostle James explained what this means. James said that what a person does, their works, demonstrates what they believe.

1. Jesus even goes on and explains it further:

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

This is how I know people worship a concept of Jesus and not the real one. They've made up a concept, like an idol, and they worship it.

3. How many on this forum go around pronouncing themselves saved?

4. Matt 25 is a prime example of the Lord explicitly telling everyone that they won't know they are saved until He tells you face to face.

5. Luke 13 - the Lord Jesus Christ says that the vast majority of people who claim to believe in Him are going to hell.

6. Jesus gave a reason as recorded by Luke, they rejected the prophets. Rev 11, fact, two real prophets in the last days are killed in Jerusalem.

Fact, you've stated in this thread, you won't follow any man. So, you've already rejected these two real prophets.

So by the Lord's own rules, by which He has stated that He is going to cast out so called "believers", what is your eternal fate going to be? By those rules I mean.

This is why I say you believe in a "concept" of Jesus. Because if you believed in the real one, what I just said should scare you to death. Because it sure does scare me.

You offered, "In almost 20 years of apologetics work I have not once been attacked or insulted by a member of the Mormon church."

If I stated that one of the fundamental tenants of 'Methodism' is the utter condemnation of Catholicism as the religion of The Devil, and lots of Methodists come smiling to your door, would you say that not once has a Methodist insulted you or your religious beliefs, knowing it is a fundamental tenant of this 'Methodism' to condemn utterly all aspects of Catholicism?

Shirley you 'feel' more holy than some of us today, but you would do well to learn more about the fundamental beliefs of these 'exemplary' fellow religionists.

There are times when the mule needs a 2 x 4 to get its attention ... I hope your arm is not sore from all that patting yourself on the back as you strive to obtain salvation.

Would you, being so much more educated in the scriptures, show me this teaching in Numbers 21 and in John 3, to Nicodemus? Thanks, I’m sure you have our best interest at heart, so you will do this for us, right?

I disagree bro.

Of course you disagree, Luther, Wesley, Calvin, Smythe, HenryVIII, Knox, Amman, Seabury, etc. etc. etc. all thought that they were right too.....they weren't.

, how you are going to bluff your way into Heaven.

Catholics have no need to bluff anything....they are assured of Heaven by following Christ and His church, and His Sacraments as guidance. The Protestants, on the other hand have to bluff their every move which is why they are referred to as PROTESTORS. Once you go off on a tangent and decide to make your own rules, interpret the bible as you see fit, and deny Christ's church....you are doing the bluffing. What if Christ asks you, directly, "why did you reject My church and turn your back on the Eucharist which I gave you as a gift of Myself"......I won't have to answer to that question......you will.

..you cannot prove a lie or an error by repeating it a thousand times. Hail Mary; Mother of GOD...

are you suggesting that Christ was not God??? or that Mary was not His mother????? What?

Still haven’t read John 3 and Numbers 21, to see the actual Gospel of Salvation, eh. You will be surprised at how wrong your religion has it with all your striving ... for raw pride, deep down, that you did it, you were good enough at the hoops! And you’ll be wrong ...

Except the popes who are supposed to be Christ's representatives on this earth, according to their own claims.

There have been 267 Popes over 20 centuries, and you point out a handful who have been of questionable character, none of whom ever erred in teaching of faith and morals, yet you would follow one of THOUSANDS of protestant "denominations" and think nothing of the error in each and every one....O.K., I guess.

I have never heard of Amman, except it is the capital of Jordan. I have never heard of Seabury. Don't they make hard drives, or is that Seagate? 😀 The others? I haven't studied their teachings.
I don't have time. I am too busy conducting Bible studies for members of a different religious persuasion. We had it yesterday. It was good, because everything was translated into English for me. You should have been here. It was a beautiful thing. It was nice to see all these people enjoying their assurance of salvation. They have no intention of trying to bluff their way into Heaven. Neither do I.

I disagree bro. You already told me I didn't need the sacrments, and I agree with that. It is the only thing that you and I agree on.
I didn't reject "His church," I reject your church. The two are mutually exclusive.
Salvation isn't in some church, whatever it may be. There are some saved and lost people in many churches.
It is nice to be my own pope. You should try it. You'll like it. If someone has no assurance of salvation, that's on them

I’ve never given Parsley a dime, nor do I endorse him in any way, but he has given some powerful sermons at various points of his ministry.

As for Paula White, haven’t heard from her since she was caught in an affair with Benny Hinn. Don’t remember much of value before then either.

A local church is almost always your best option.
