It’s easy for scoffers to chide the notion that we’re in end times, repeatedly throughout the decades and centuries.
However, current events and world culture have reached such incredible levels of depravity and disfunction, it’s compleyely understandable to believe a mighty collapse is imminent.

A few objections:

There will be no “rapture”.
That episode was fulfilled when the Christians left Jerusalem before its destruction in 70 A.D.

“The world is unsustainable.”
Not even close to true.
Just because governments are restricting energy agricultural development, doesn’t mean we’re “unsustainable”.

“Unprecedented mass animal deaths”
None recently that are “unprecedented”

Blood Mood Tetrad has no correlation to Luke.

“Global epidemics” aren’t nearly severe or persistent enough to be of concern.

“Israel is ready to build the Third Temple”
CHRIST IS “the Third Temple” and IS “the Perfect Sacrifice”, there will be no new building as there is no further need of burnt offerings to God.

I agree with all of your points, and would add that we are not at peak oil. I was told that as a college freshman,in ‘83 and believed it for years. However, I do feel we are close to global economic collapse, which could lead to 10 kingdoms with 10 kings, one of which will seize global power and claim to be God, as he sits in the temple of God, the human or the church.

Nor are mass shootings happening every day. Violent crimes are down.

Sure there are wars and terrorists. But mass shootings? Not really. It’s the communications infrastructure that is better. We hear and see stuff that always happened (in one form or another), we just see it faster.

Global epidemics wrought by globalization (Ebola, Zika, Measles, Hepatitis C, Bird Flue, Swine Flu, AIDS, Yellow Fever, etc) and record-breaking hurricanes and cyclones in fulfillment of Luke 21:11 ("pestilences" and the "sea and the waves roaring"). Also a significant rise in the number of earthquakes of all sizes and in many places that have little-to-no history of seismic activity (Oklahoma and North Texas, the U.S. Midwest, New England and Mid-Atlantic, parts of Europe, the Middle East, etc) in fulfillment of Mark 13:8 and Matthew 24:7.

I fail to find this convincing

• Deaths caused by the diseases mentioned wouldn't even come close to those caused by epidemics of the past such as the bubonic plague outbreaks in the sixth century AD and from the fourteenth to the eighteenth centuries, the tuberculosis and Asiatic cholera epidemics in the nineteenth century, etc.

• Earthquakes such as the ones that killed nearly a million people in China in 1556 and about a quarter million people in Antioch in 526 were much more devastating than the ones we are having today.
