I lit a candle and prayed for Donald Trump and Mike Pence before Divine Liturgy, as is my custom.
I also prayed for our country—and for the Orthodox Christian countries that obama, Hillary, and the neocons want to make war on—at the time when we are supposed to pray for “the President” in Divine Liturgy. I prayed for our American troops at the appropriate time, too.
That is but a small fraction of all the prayers we make on Sunday—culminating in meeting God in Holy Communion!!!!

Thank you. Yes Father God, I echo the Recovering Ex-hippie’s prayer request. We need a God sized miracle as the media is against You, the schools are against You and the culture is against You. May Trump, Pence, their families, their team and the prayer warriors become filled with Your light.

How wonderful it would be if as a nation we repented and we invited God back into the classroom.
The Bible tells us that He will bless us or He will curse us.
