Edit: in an official statement today at the National Catholic Register, professional Catholic, Mark Shea has been let go from his position because while his contributions to their paper met editorial expectations, his online presence elsewhere was not charitable. How about heretical? It's still a good move and we applaud the Register for finally seeing the light after many long years.
Apparently, attacking John Zmirak, and slandering him was a bridge too far.

Thanks for the links. I read NC Register regularly and enjoy Zmirak’s books. I am not familar with Shea and hope he prays and fasts regularly.
My brother follows Mark Shea on Facebook, so because of that I saw one of his anti-Trump comments. I left a respectfully worded response, and Shea fired back a nasty, insulting reply.
I replied that I did not see the love of Christ being reflected in him, then blocked him. Can’t say I’m sad to see him fired.

Shea has heaped hate on pro-lifers because they vote Republican. While claiming to be a pro-lifer.
He banned me from his blog for taking factually based issue with him when he said a vote for Hillary is the only moral one according to the Catholic church. He is an ignorant Catholic with arrogance.
Those who drink from the cup of abysmal ignorance, mixed with an equal measure of unbridled arrogance, rarely see "a good end"...
