Re: “Enlightenment was actually an European phenomenon with London, Florence, and Paris all playing their part with various writers and philosophers.”

The only Italian Enlightenment philosopher I can think of is Beccaria, who had a significant impact on the U.S. Constitution and the rights of criminal defendants.

According to Wiki, Beccaria lived in Milan.

Galileo lived in Florence, and he obviously had a huge impact on science and the Scientific Method.

However, Galileo died at least 50 years before the Enlightenment got started.

This has precisely zero to do with Muslims, I do appreciate that Americans think Europe is a continent of weenies cowering under their Muslim overlords but this is utterly unrelated to Muslims.

Like the US there has been a centuries-long argument about the place of religion in the state and like the US many people adhere to a secular republican ideal where religion is a private matter and should not intrude in the public sphere.

So the statue of the Virgin needs to be relocated from the public park to private land, it is not banned or replaced by a mosque it is just being moved from public land.

In exactly the same way that France enforces a ban on the Islamic head scarf in the public sphere, a ban I recall that was popular among many posters.

Religious indifferentism paves the way for muslim domination.

Continental Europe’s original world view was that “error has no right”. No one has a right to be wrong, especially in matters that have to do with true religion.

It will be the Catholics that save France and Europe, if that is even possible without Divine intervention. None of the false religions, including free masonry/atheism/manmade christian sects, are equipped to deal with the death religion that is sweeping the world.

Isn’t it odd the this comes about in France since Islam bands religious in images of people, especially those of infidels.

Why do I have the sneaky suspicion that a lot of European officials and even American officials have secretly converted to Islam because the bribe money is so good?
