I just love how people post about how these guys contradict each other with out listening to the update . Had you listened you would how silly you sound . John’s update just reviews the weeks news clips

So is that guy Stearman, and so is Dr. Kevin Clarkson, Perry Stone, Irvin Baxter and the like. Each one has their own interpretation of Revelation and Daniel etc.

You are right on the money, SkyDancer.   Many of these "prophecy guys" do variations on this particular youtube clip, and they often contradict each other, as well as reality.

One example from this youtube clip shows the gentleman highlighting these texts from the Bible, and explaining how they are related to the turmoil and troubles we are seeing in the world today.

Matthew 24:9-10
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Jesus was talking directly to his Apostles in those passages, and they applied more perfectly to them, 2,000 years ago, as most of them ended up being physical martyrs for their faith.   (Other than in some Muslim countries today, most Christians today are NOT being physically martyred YET like the Apostles were.)  And verse 10 there can be applied equally well to every single place and every single time period in the history of the world.

The very next verse says the following:

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

That is exactly what I see reflected in your post.

The definitions of "prophet" include "a person who foretells the future", and "a person chosen by God to be His messenger", as well as "a person regarded as an inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will of God", so all of these folks probably believe they fall into at least one of those categories of "prophets".

It is absolutely true that many of them contradict each other, and go through bizarre contortions, in order to prove that their own personal interpretation of various Biblical prophecies are the correct ones.

An interesting thing to do some time is to do a search in youtube, and a search in Amazon, for videos/books using the following four terms, without quotes:   ( the book of Revelation ; the book of Daniel ; the book of the Apocalypse ; Daniel and Revelation ).   If you watch some of those videos, or read some of those books, with an honest, discerning eye, you will encounter radically different and contradictory interpretations of the exact same Biblical prophecy passages.   The truth is, these modern interpreters of Biblical prophecies do contradict each other in many consequential ways, and they often twist things, or misinterpret Biblical passages, in order to try to buttress their own interpretations.

Just so you know, Lera, if you are trying to post a thread here that you only want Evangelicals to respond to, you have to mark the thread as an "Evangelical Caucus" thread (in the thread title), like this one, or this one, or this one.

If you don't label threads with that kind of "caucus" designation, the thread is open to posts from everybody.

You point to the fact that one of the "TOPICS" at the top of your thread is "Evangelical Christian", but another is "Current Events", which (of course) impact everyone.   Also, if you look at the top now, you will notice that one of the "KEYWORDS" listed there now is "Catholic".

Now regarding the possibility of taking flak for what one posts here, well that is a real possibility for just about every post one posts, so that should always be expected.   And those of us who are Christians were also warned by Jesus Christ that we should not only expect to take flak for our beliefs, but that it will actually be a blessing for us to take that flak.

If you have an honest problem with anything I posted in my post #14 above, it would be much more helpful to point out to me any errors or untruths I posted, and enlighten me about them, rather than tell me I have no right to post to your thread if I don't agree with you.

In my post #14 there, I pointed out that it was Jesus Christ who clearly stated in Matthew 24:11 that "Many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many".   That is simply the truth, whether you agree with it or not.

As far as my point about how so many different videos and books that "interpret and "explain" the prophecies contained in the Bible (such as those found in the Books of Daniel, Ezekiel, and Revelation) are actually contradictory and incompatible, if you really don't believe that, then you obviously have to read or listen more.   For a quick example, try reading these two books, and see how contradictory and incompatible their interpretations of those prophetic Scriptures and their meanings are:

You want a good of a false prophet all you to do is look at the the pope.
The pope who is currently telling the world that muslims worship the same diety as Christians.

The God of the bible and the false god of islam are not the same. The “god” of islam that encourages , lying , murder and theft can’t be the same as the one that gave us the 10 commandments and that says can not lie.

Oh John Haller takes news clips and reviews them he doesn’t encourage unity with a false religion nor the worship of a false god , he also isn’t claiming to be a prophet nor making up prophesy .

No one that gets pinged to this thread cares about your opinion .
