My wife was not feeling at all well this morning as she accompanied me at a podiatrist's appointment at the V.A. When we got home her condition worsened. She could barely see, had a pounding headache and was very dizzy. So we drove to the emergency room of a close-by hospital, where they did numerous tests. She is in the midst of an ongoing stroke.

Please pray for her.

I’m seeing my neuro next month because the seizures have increased again.

A friend of mine has had seizures post-stroke; the advice to her was to avoid at all costs being dehydrated. She became partially paralyzed from the stroke and moving around (including bathroom breaks) became more difficult, so she stopped taking enough fluids so she wouldn't have to go as often. Seizures increased. Now she has recognized that she must stay hydrated.

I drink way, way, way to much and wash the sodium out of my system My sodium level is always to low and I have terrible cramps from the low sodium.

Update: Barbara is back home from the hospital and is resting comfortably. She needs to work on keeping her blood pressure and blood sugar numbers down. She is very appreciative of your thoughts and prayers and knows that it helped her. Bless you all.

Did the high BP and high blood sugar supposedly cause the stroke? I have to struggle with those two things myself. Prayers for Barbara’s recovery will continue.
