Evidently these so-called "brites" are oblivious to how ignorant and "hateful" such assertions manifest them to be. Militant atheists protest vehemently against any insinuation that atheism with its objectively baseless morality had anything to do with the atrocities of Stalin, chairman Mayo, Pol Pot etc., while refusing to define "Christian" based upon the source of that word, (Acts 11:26) but employ examples of men and groups who were/are clearly contrary to what NT Christianity teaches.

But as immoral liberals this is what the must do in order to justify themselves, rejecting any supreme moral standard as their judge, with morality simply being what variously seems right to them.

Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes. (Deuteronomy 12:8)

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. (Acts 17:11)
