In a new book, Pope Francis reveals that he consulted a Jewish psychoanalyst once a week for six months when he was 42 years old and that it “helped me a lot at a moment in my life…when I needed to clarify things.” He disclosed this very personal detail of his life for the first time in a book-length interview with a French intellectual, Dominique Wolton, that will be published on Sept. 6, the day the pope travels to Colombia.

Going directly against the Catholic Church Bergoglio approves of civil unions for homosexual couples. It's high time that anyone that calls themselves a Catholic to quit making excuses for this train wreck of a pope.In a new book, Pope Francis reveals that he consulted a Jewish psychoanalyst once a week for six months when he was 42 years old and that it “helped me a lot at a moment in my life…when I needed to clarify things.” He disclosed this very personal detail of his life for the first time in a book-length interview with a French intellectual, Dominique Wolton, that will be published on Sept. 6, the day the pope travels to Colombia.

It this heretic does not resign as pope effective today, he should be physically removed from the Chair of Peter. What an unmitigated disaster Bergoglio has turned out to be.

Why do I think Francis is “in the closet”?

If this heretic does not resign as pope effective today, he should be physically removed from the Chair of Peter.

He already "resigned":

Therefore, the true opinion is the fifth, according to which the Pope who is manifestly a heretic ceases by himself to be Pope and head, in the same way as he ceases to be a Christian and a member of the body of the Church; and for this reason he can be judged and punished by the Church. This is the opinion of all the ancient Fathers, who teach that manifest heretics immediately lose all jurisdiction....

A Communist woman was one who influence this so called pope? Sorry, the old statement: ‘Is the pope Catholic?’ is gone since this pope is not Catholic.

And just why the he feel the need to say the psychiatrist was Jewish? Just another way of protesting too much with the cliche, “Some of my best friends are Jewish.” If the psychiatrist were Christian, would he have mentioned the religion? Maybe by telling the world his shrink was Jewish, he can at some point blame the Jews for his utterly confused mind and absurd pronouncements.

Fr. Kolvenbach (Jesuit General) said Bergoglio was “a psychopath.” He opposed Bergoglio’s ordination to the episcopate.

There is the sin of heresy, and there is the canonical crime of heresy. They are distinct.

Why a Jewish psychoanalyst? why not a Christian psychoanalyst?
It doesn’t sound like his faith is very strong. Anyone who claims the Muslims worship the same god as the Christians does not have faith. My God does not order us to murder, rape, torture as the Muslim god does through his pedophile prophet.

I wonder how many have lost their Catholic faith because of this pope, not their Christian faith, but their faith in the Catholic Pope as infallible in matters of religion.

FR_addict: "...their faith in the Catholic Pope as infallible in matters of religion."

If that was their "faith," they were in error. (I speak as an RCIA catechist.)

The pope is not infallible just generally "in matters of religion," but only when he is either (1) teaching something which is always/already infallible -- for instance, "Jesus is God" or (2)teaching something (again in line with the already established doctrine of the faith, and his infallible predecessors) which he solemnly states is to be accepted "de fide" (as an article of faith) and binding on conscience for all members of the Church everywhere and always. Which means, he is explicitly invoking his supreme authority ("ex cathedra")in a matter of faith and morals.

And, as is true of any type of legislation, it must be clear enough so everybody can figure out what is required by it, and what is forbidden. It can't be vague, ambiguous, equivocal, etc.

Nothing Pope Francis has stated on most of his pet subjects has ever fulfilled these requirements, and --- I suspect --- never will.

For one thing, this is because he seems incapable of clear speech. The man's mind shows itself to be confused and preoccupied with producing intentional ambiguity.

He repeats his opposition to gay marriage but accepts the civil union of people of the same sex.

Mere semantics. Bergoglio is a heretic who supports legalized sodomy, both by his words and his actions.

Hmmm... Ms. Ballestrino was the Pope’s former boss at one time and later he smuggled “communist books” out of her home in case it was searched by the regime. Unusual activity for a priest.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esther_Ballestrino

She worked in the foods section at Hickethier-Bachmann Laboratory in Buenos Aires, where one of her subordinates was Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who would later become Pope Francis. He remembers working for her and her attention to detail. He later commented that Marxists could be good people and he saw Ballestrino as a major influence on him. Ballestrino is said to be the first woman to be the boss of a future pope.[1]

In 1976 two of her sons, Manuel Carlos Cuevas and Ives Domergue, were kidnapped and they disappeared. Ballestrino was credited with helping found the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo which came out of other mothers of missing children who met at the Plaza de Mayo.[2] The next year, her pregnant daughter Ana Maria Careaga was also abducted in December 1977 by the authorities and tortured.[3] Ballestrino contacted her associate, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, and asked that he come to give the last rites to a relative. The Catholic Bergoglio was surprised, as he knew that Ballestrino was a Marxist. When he arrived, he learned that Ballestrino’s real intention was to have him smuggle out the family’s collection of communist books. Ballestrino was worried that these books would lead to her arrest in the case of a house search. Bergoglio did as he was requested and smuggled out the books.[4]

In December 1977, Ballestrino, Sisters Alice and Léonie, along with other Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo, prepared a request for the names of those who disappeared and for the government to divulge their whereabouts. The reply was publicized in the newspaper La Nación on December 10, 1977. Navy captain Alfredo Astiz had infiltrated the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo,[5] and the authorities moved against the ringleaders.[6] Ballestrino and María Ponce (es) were seized by the security forces in the Church of Santa Cruz in downtown Buenos Aires.[4]

The women were taken to a detention centre by the Argentine security services, where they were tortured and then dropped into the sea from an aircraft whilst presumably still living.[2]
