Then why the continuous fixation on the 'devil' Luther? Mark 13:23 (Christ instructed) But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
This was declared before any of the 'new' guys penned one jot or tittle of the so called New Testament... You will not find one mention of Luther in the whole Bible...
Since when did the Catholic church stop calling the pope 'holy father'?
My problem is with the Catholic Church now celebrating Luther’s revolt on this 500th year anniversary.
Because God used Luther to reform His church and free it from error, and the things of God cannot be defeated. Planned parenthood is hardly a movement of God
If your problem is with the Roman church then you are a Protestant Welcome aboard
The incessant attacks on Luther and Protestants is wickedness.
Nor was Luther's movement of God.
They call the pope holy father, vicar of Christ and other blasphemous names. They cannot disavow their pope without disavowing their whole system
Coming next: Life and errors of Catholic priests.
Millions of Christians around the world would disagree with that. But if Luther was not a movement of God you should be able to defeat it easily. Ill wait...
When did I call Luther the “devil”?
“Just today, for some reason, I read the Wikipedia article on The Birds, written by Aristophanes in 414 BC.”
I wonder if Aristophenes made a brief cameo appearance near the beginning of the play.
It is indeed a religious 'system'... The very things they bash Luther over are the very things they are now doing to the present man of Rome. It just seems more instructive to me to read what Christ said and let God take care of Luther.
What is the whole premise of this writing? Catholics give Luther a much worse time in words, words, words, than the devil. One does not need to say/write Luther is the devil, the implication is all over him. Why are you fixated on Luther? He went home to be with the LORD ... and when and IF the LORD wants to shut down 'protestants' He is quite able.
Which was Luthers point exactly. The point of the reformation was to ask what does God say or Sola Scriptura
Reading Revelation 2 and 3 again as picture of the various types of churches some identify the corrupt church as the Catholic Church and the Lutheran Church as the dead church. They are now merging into the lukewarm church. While there are victors in all the churches, living through all this is not easy on them. Hang in there! Jesus is coming back for the victors very soon.
The premise is that Luther's Revolt has its 500th year anniversary tomorrow. What better time to reveal the truth about Luther?
Not all Lutheran churches are dead or lukewarm Some such as fhe LCMS still are faithful. A time is coming when I fear all true churches will have to go underground if Christ does not return first
RC INC is the oldest most profitable multinational corporation on the planet. They plead poverty but can hire 400$/hr. mercenary attorneys to smear vulnerable individuals molested by their employees in depositions and trials.
The Reformation of Christianity by common-sense Scripture-soaked Bible-lovers protesting the Romish clergy abuses of their office was already in process. Desiderius Erasmus was the father of the Reformation, not Luther, and he stood on the shoulders of Johann Gutenberg and his process for multiplying access to the printed Word.
But if it wasn't for Luther's vernacular translation and expositionary ministry, the many regenerated and dedicated Christ-followers born of it brought the centrality of Scripture to the fore. Without the general rejection of false doctrine we'd still be trying to buy our way out of the fiction of Purgatory to get to a Catholicized Heaven, by means of indulgences and futile quasi-piousness demanded by a domineering and pervasive clerical organization practicing simony as a way of subsisting on control of an ignorant population.
Thank God for His preservation of His Spirit-inspired Holy Writings, and which illuminate the Way of Righteousness that is directly opposite to the pernicious papal pathway to perdition.
Tearing down Luther will not elevate Christ. It only signifies that the needed reform has never been accomplished.
"In presenting the picture of Martin Luther I want to be completely objective . . ."
Too late already . . .
