1 Corinthians Ch. 8
King James Bible Online ^

Posted on 05/17/2018 4:19:50 AM PDT by Faith Presses On

1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.

2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.

3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.

8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.

9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak.

10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;

11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

All is in God as God is omnipresent.

“All” contains many beings, not just humans in a physical body.

Angels are in God.

Jesus is in God.

We too are in God. (In many ways, we are asleep in God’s womb) and God is in us.

Another great Chapter that makes us think about how our actions are perceived by others. Thanks!

Omnipresent doesn’t mean God is “in” all of us, or that everything is “in” him. God is not an omnipresent pudding.

“We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and we were by nature children under wrath as the others were also....

...At that time you were without Christ, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ....

...So then you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with the saints, and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole building, being put together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you are also being built together for God’s dwelling in the Spirit.” - Ephesians 2

Omnipresence or ubiquity is the property of being present everywhere. By definition, if God is omnipresent, God is in us.

This is why scripture advises us that we must go within to find God.

Luke 17:

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Human consciousness changes frequency. It gets higher as you pray and meditate and lower as you get angry or worry.

If you are angry at someone else you are attaching yourself to them and holding yourself down. That is why it is important to resolve your differences before you worship. Forgiveness sets you free. Greed also attaches us at a lower level, just as pride does.

Just as there are many channels on one TV cable, each at its own frequency, there are many realities available to our perceptions if we cleanse our souls by following Jesus’ teachings so that we can tune to the higher levels and perceive that Jesus, like our Father exists within us.

Love God with all your..... is actually telling us to always strive to attain the highest level of consciousness possible. Read John 14 how Jesus speaks that God is within Him and if He is in us our Father that is in Him is also in us. These scriptures speak the truth.

Love your neighbor as yourself is teaching us to find and remove the obstacles to Love that exist within us and act as anchors or ballast, limiting our ability to follow commandment number one above.

The reason that Jesus told us that we too can do the things that He does is that His abilities are natural attributes of the level of consciousness at which He exists. Jesus is teaching us to join Him through communion with Him.

Our Father’s mansion has many rooms as there are many levels of reality based upon where our consciousness and soul are tuned. We are not allowed to perceive any level above our consciousness limitations. This is to protect us from misuse (harming ourselves or others) of the abilities available to anyone who reaches the higher levels.

The Tower of Babel concept applies in that at the higher levels of consciousness you hear others thoughts automatically and learn through epiphanies.(above the level of language) This is why when the Holy Spirit moves in it raises us up and we each hear in our own tongue, just as happened at Pentecost.

This is also why Peter sunk into the water when he allowed fear and doubt to enter him. It pulled him down.

The Bible is very accurate. Welcome to my reality where consciousness and the soul is a physical object. There is not one word in the New Testament that is not the truth.

Our perception of reality is a function of the level of consciousness from which we view it.

Even if you believe nothing that I say, you must believe in prayer. Pray with all your emotion from your heart and express your Love for God and see how it makes you feel lighter.

Jesus is teaching us to join Him through communion with Him. Communion of the Spirit allows us to be fully aware that Jesus is within us and we are within Him.

Incorrect, on both points.

First, we cannot find God within us when we are “without Christ, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world.”

To repeat for emphasis: “without hope and without God in the world”.

Second, omnipresent doesn’t mean what you want it to mean. It doesn’t mean Good is an ocean and we are fish. Scripturally, it is well stated in Psalms 139:

Where can I go to escape your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.

If I live at the eastern horizon
or settle at the western limits,

even there your hand will lead me;
your right hand will hold on to me.

If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me,
and the light around me will be night”—

even the darkness is not dark to you.
The night shines like the day;
darkness and light are alike to you.

It means God is not limited by the physical world. He is the Creator, and creation doesn’t bind Him.

Luke 17 is better translated into modern English as:

“20 Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with something observable; 21 no one will say, ‘See here!’ or ‘There!’ For you see, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Or as the NASB translates it: 20 Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; 21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

Fallen man, living in rebellion against God, cannot find God by looking “within”. That is heresy. We are dead in our sin, hating God and rebelling against Him. We are enemies. Not passively ignorant, but actively opposed to God. Looking within would be like searching a coffin for a newborn baby. We are sick. We are blind. We cannot look within to find God. We must be “born again”.

Read Matthew 24: 25 and explain it. The Messiah must be one heck of a big dude to be in the East and the West at the same time. It speaks the truth as He is everywhere, we just need to raise up (which is what rapture is all about) in order to perceive Him.

25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

“Just as there are many channels on one TV cable, each at its own frequency, there are many realities available to our perceptions if we cleanse our souls by following Jesus’ teachings so that we can tune to the higher levels and perceive that Jesus, like our Father exists within us.”

That is heresy, and in total contradiction to what the Bible says. We do not and cannot “cleanse our souls by following Jesus’ teachings”.

For we have already charged that both Jews and Gentiles are all under sin, as it is written:

There is no one righteous, not even one.
There is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.

All have turned away;
all alike have become worthless.
There is no one who does what is good,
not even one.

Their throat is an open grave;
they deceive with their tongues.
Vipers’ venom is under their lips.

Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
Their feet are swift to shed blood;
ruin and wretchedness are in their paths,
and the path of peace they have not known.
There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment. For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law. - Romans 3

We CANNOT cleanse ourselves. God is not within us, and we cannot tune ourselves to His “frequency”. John 14 is Jesus speaking to his disciples. This is Peter, speaking to the lost:

“Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and for your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” With many other words he testified and strongly urged them, saying, “Be saved from this corrupt generation!”

Those who have not received the gift of the Holy Spirit do NOT have God inside them! That is why we must be “born again” - because the first birth doesn’t allow us to do ANYTHING. We are not “off frequency”. We are dead in our sin and rebels against God. We need a Savior, not a higher plane of existence.

“We CANNOT cleanse ourselves. “

Some things we can, and some we can’t. This is why the disciples were limited in casting out demons and Jesus said some must be removed through prayer and fasting.

Forgiveness is the best tool for removing the sin of judgement and anger toward others. You can do it... The hardest to forgive is ourselves as we feel unworthy of God’s Love and block receiving it. That is why it is necessary to ask God for Grace.

You make this a lot more complicated than it really is. Thoughts manifest in our soul and it is why we must be careful what we think. These thoughts create sin.

What is sin? In simple terms it is a thought or memory that creates an obstacle to God’s Love being in our soul. We must strive to regain the purity of a child in order to know thy Father. Just as sin causes illness, it also causes death by blocking our consciousness in our soul.

Many times Jesus healed by merely saying, “You are forgiven.” He was healing the soul with a prayerful high frequency thought. A sin in a high frequency consciousness is like putting a metal object such as a spoon in the microwave. It gets hot as the sin meets the prayer. This is why those who hold onto sin experience hell after they leave their physical bodies. This is also how hands on prayerful healing works. I actually see the Light generated in the transformation healing process.

When you are truly “Born again of the Spirit,” you begin to perceive directly from your consciousness or spirit rather than just your five senses. Most who claim they are born again are like the Pharisees words that fall upon deaf ears. They are fooling themselves.

Baptism with water merely prepares the soul for the Baptism of Spirit. Both are important. That is the true Baptism and when it happens your perception of reality changes. If you want to have a powerful wonderful experience, pray for the Holy Spirit to come upon you while standing in the shower and see what happens.

There is absolutely nothing in the universe that does not contain God. If it did not, it would not exist.

“You make this a lot more complicated than it really is. Thoughts manifest in our soul and it is why we must be careful what we think. These thoughts create sin.”

No. WE ARE SINNERS. The Bible says it is our nature to sin and do evil, and that is why we must be born again.

“Many times Jesus healed by merely saying, “You are forgiven.” He was healing the soul with a prayerful high frequency thought.”

No. That simple does not match what we find in the Bible.

5 Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

6 But some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts: 7 “Why does he speak like this? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

8 Right away Jesus perceived in his spirit that they were thinking like this within themselves and said to them, “Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat, and walk’? 10 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he told the paralytic— 11 “I tell you: get up, take your mat, and go home.” - Mark 2

“When you are truly “Born again of the Spirit,” you begin to perceive directly from your consciousness or spirit rather than just your five senses.”

No. The Holy Spirit is a PERSON. We do not then perceive from OUR “consciousness or spirit”, but from HIM. “16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever. 17 He is the Spirit of truth. The world is unable to receive him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you do know him, because he remains with you and will be in you.”

What you teach is in direct contradiction to the Word of God. Follow that path, and it will lead to Hell.

God has revealed Himself to us as male, though, so He doesn’t have a womb. And while from God’s Word we can say that in some senses everyone and everything is in God and perhaps in some way He is in us, since He has access to our whole person, including our thoughts and what’s going on in our hearts, we are certainly not at one — perfect oneness — with Him and He with us. We know God created everything and everyone through His Word, which is His Son Jesus, and that He breathed into Adam for Him to become a living soul (Genesis 2:7). We know that in the Lord we live and move and have our being (Acts 17:28), and that He gives light to every one who comes into this world (John 1:9). We know, as I mentioned, that He knows everything about us, including our thoughts, what’s in our hearts, and our spiritual condition. But clearly God’s Word teaches that rather than having perfect oneness with Him, we’re spiritually separated from Him and can only be reconciled to Him through believing on His Son, Jesus Christ, which means acknowledging ourselves to be sinners deserving of Hell and that only by God’s grace towards us, in Him giving His Son to atone for our sins, are we saved.

Jesus is here now.

God is here now.

Let those with eyes see them and those with ears hear them.

Just as the weeds were planted while we were asleep, (Matthew 13) most people are still asleep.

If you are One with Jesus, you are also One with God who exists in Him. The scriptures are accurate.

Perceiving that we are separate from God as we are asleep is quite different than being separate.

You exist on the planet earth even though you do not perceive the entire planet while standing at one location on it.

However, if you raise up to the space station you can now see the greater picture. So it is when we awaken and raise up in Christ.

This comment also explains the concept of rapture or being raised up.
