This is why every Christian should “skip the middle man”, and have his primary religious relationship between himself and God. Placing mortals on a pedestal — in any denomination or cult — is extremely dangerous. Having a pastor provide basic direction is important, and Bible based, but men are men. If a church’s leader is pulling the crap this diocese is pulling, Christians have to balk and move on.
Satan is the “author of confusion”, and the “father of lies”. When a church leader blatantly lies, you know without a doubt who is puling the strings.
Just more proof that priests/bishops/cardinals/popes are all just as fatally flawed humans as the rest of us who needn’t be elevated to worship status.
I think that the actions of these young men speak well for God and the Church.
I think that this Bishop is completely wrong in his condemnation of them.
If I understand your response correctly, the Church cannot even see this as a problem, let alone correct it.
I agree that many posters are making the same mistake as the media made but after I did a little research on the most reverend bishop, I found the general opinion of local Catholics is that he is an “ultra liberal”. https://www.cathinfo.com/sspx-resistance-news/’ultra-liberal’-n-o-bishop-visits-sspx-chapelschool-in-walton-ky/
Homilies that disparage nationalism and accuse everybody in the church of racism, financial sponsorship of every somali immigrant and all illegal mexicans throughout the midwest, acceptance and promotion of child pedophilia amongst the all levels of the priesthood, encouragement of moslem immigration to replace the population of Europe, acceptance and promotion of abortion in ireland... The list gets longer but Ann Barnhrdt is an expert. https://jjimd.com/
