“Thus sayeth the Lord doesn’t quite seem MINOR to me.”
Ya, there is that also, but I think you do not speak for the Lord on what is major or minor to Him.

You have shared the mote in our eye, since I have been working hard at not being judgemental and failing, please share some of the beams in your eye.

I'll leave that little exercise up to you; if you are so inclined.

The Doctrine and Covenants

Section 15

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet to John Whitmer, at Fayette, New York, June 1829 (see the heading to section 14).

The message is intimately and impressively personal in that the Lord tells of what was known only to John Whitmer and Himself.

John Whitmer later became one of the Eight Witnesses to the Book of Mormon.

1–2, The Lord’s arm is over all the earth; 3–6, To preach the gospel and save souls is the thing of most worth.

Hearken, my servant John, and listen to the words of Jesus Christ, your Lord and your Redeemer.

For behold, I speak unto you with sharpness and with power, for mine arm is over all the earth.

And I will tell you that which no man knoweth save me and thee alone—

For many times you have desired of me to know that which would be of the most worth unto you.

Behold, blessed are you for this thing, and for speaking my words which I have given unto you according to my commandments.

And now, behold, I say unto you, that the thing which will be of the most worth unto you will be to declare repentance unto this people, that you may bring souls unto me, that you may rest with them in the kingdom of my Father. Amen.

Section 16

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet to Peter Whitmer Jr., at Fayette, New York, June 1829 (see the heading to section 14).

Peter Whitmer Jr. later became one of the Eight Witnesses to the Book of Mormon.

1–2, The Lord’s arm is over all the earth; 3–6, To preach the gospel and save souls is the thing of most worth.

Hearken, my servant Peter, and listen to the words of Jesus Christ, your Lord and your Redeemer.

Amen.

Section 14

Revelation given through Joseph Smith the Prophet to David Whitmer, at Fayette, New York, June 1829. The Whitmer family had become greatly interested in the translating of the Book of Mormon. The Prophet established his residence at the home of Peter Whitmer Sr., where he dwelt until the work of translation was carried to completion and the copyright on the forthcoming book was secured. Three of the Whitmer sons, each having received a testimony as to the genuineness of the work, became deeply concerned over the matter of their individual duty. This revelation and the two following (sections 15 and 16) were given in answer to an inquiry through the Urim and Thummim. David Whitmer later became one of the Three Witnesses to the Book of Mormon.

Ya, there is that also, but I think you do not speak for the Lord on what is major or minor to Him.

True.

It's only your Living Prophet® that does that.

In conclusion let us summarize this grand key, these “Fourteen Fundamentals in Following the Prophet”, for our salvation depends on them.

1. The prophet is the only man who speaks for the Lord in everything.
2. The living prophet is more vital to us than the standard works.
3. The living prophet is more important to us than a dead prophet.
4. The prophet will never lead the church astray.
5. The prophet is not required to have any particular earthly training or credentials to speak on any subject or act on any matter at any time.
6. The prophet does not have to say “Thus Saith the Lord,” to give us scripture.
7. The prophet tells us what we need to know, not always what we want to know.
8. The prophet is not limited by men’s reasoning.
9. The prophet can receive revelation on any matter, temporal or spiritual.
10. The prophet may advise on civic matters.
11. The two groups who have the greatest difficulty in following the prophet are the proud who are learned and the proud who are rich.
12. The prophet will not necessarily be popular with the world or the worldly.
13. The prophet and his counselors make up the First Presidency—the highest quorum in the Church.
14. The prophet and the presidency—the living prophet and the First Presidency—follow them and be blessed—reject them and suffer.

I testify that these fourteen fundamentals in following the living prophet are true. If we want to know how well we stand with the Lord then let us ask ourselves how well we stand with His mortal captain—how close do our lives harmonize with the Lord’s anointed—the living Prophet—President of the Church, and with the Quorum of the First Presidency.

When your GOD is this precise; SOMEbody has to speak for him!

Thank you for all the evidence you are not that person..

What the nickname of the Church is called is minor compaired to how the Church is orginised.

I certainly don’t want you ‘room temperature’ before your time. But people don’t particularly like being ‘lambasted’ over their religious beliefs.

(Doesn’t your own teach you something about a ‘soft answer’?)

Oh my heck. How could I forget that? (Utah Speak)

Tomorrow we're having a visit from Mary Burkett running to unseat Chris Stewart. Can't wait to say five words. What about Romney and Reid?

I swear your answers do not seem to line up with the data that they are replying to.

Sure; but to a divisive person other forms are mandated:

Titus 1:13 (KJV)

This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

My opinion of myself is likely flawed.

“your answers do not seem to line up with the data that they are replying to.”

Given the amount of your cut and past material we would have to open up many conversions, or
As I see it you can try to figure out what you do not see, or you can imply I do not know what i am tlking about.

It seems to me that in context, that assumes that the two are of the same ‘faith’.

I don’t know what church you belong to, but if your congregation believes in this ‘rebuking’, then I guess it’s ok to do it among yourselves.

I would personally let the Mormon people rebuke one other. They can probably do it a lot better than you can.

I kinda like the third option:

1 Peter 3:15 KJV

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

I'd hope that the 'answer' would be one of clarity and reason.

Given the amount of your cut and past material …

Folks that hand out entire BoMs to others should not be averse to a few simple C&P things.

Especially when they come from mainly LDS sources.

If these are hard to defend rationally; don't blame the messenger for exposing them.
