As for numbers of books contained in them, different sects of supposed christianity as a whole have adopted some extra source materials and added them to their Old Testament. Perhaps the extra material is worth reading, but is certainly not provable to have been written under the influence of the Holy Spirit when compared to the rest of scripture.
For them to conceed that the narrative pertaining to Giants is real would destroy the Darwinian paradigm.

So the Holy Spirit has apparently seen fit to allow scores of different versions and translations of the Bible to come into circulation. Or the Holy Spirit was "incapable" of "making certain" that no corrupted versions - some containing extra books - came into being to mislead poor laypeople.
