Haven’t heard about those...................
I have often wondered is these were creatures that existed before the flood.
Back in the mid 1980s I drove through Nashville. A billboard that that picture holding a cell phone. The text read, “Our phone remembers even when you don’t”.
Mack heard that a human-alien hybrid race was being created on the ships: listless, huge-eyed, wispy-haired children...Source: NY Times Magazine 1994
Can you please tell us more about both your UFO and angel encounter?
My first experience with something unexplained was at a cub scout meeting at the Den Mother’s house, whose son was one of the cub scouts.
Just as it was turning dark outside, one of the scouts (we were probably about 10) came into the house and said “there’s a flying saucer or something over there by the woods.”
The back yard of this house was a big open area about half the size of a football field, before the woods started. There was usually nothing there but grass. We all ran out on the porch to see what he was talking about and I remember seeing something odd, like a big shadow out there moving, but it was right at dark and hard to make out.
Some of the kids ran back in the house scared. The Den Mother thought it was much ado about nothing, and her husband wasn’t home at the time. And none of us had the courage to go down there after seeing the big shadow move.
One of us asked the boy who lived there to get his bb gun, and lets shoot out there and see what happens. So he got it and fired a bb out there.
Clink! It sounded like the bb hit metal. We looked at each other, and backed up towards the door.
Did you hear that! We all nodded, mostly speechless. Try it again someone said.
Clink! There was no doubt it was hitting metal, and he was just randomly shooting out there in the filed. When it happened the second time, we all ran back in the house again, and just looked out the window.
About an hour later some of the dads starting showing up to pick us up from the meeting. We told them, there’s something out back come help us look. Told them about the bb gun.
Of course when we went back out there, and shot the bb gun, you never even heard it hit the grass out there, or maybe a tiny muffled sound. Definitely no clinks.
The fathers just laughed at us for being crazy kids, but I remember that bb gun hitting metal. Twice.
“But that doesn’t mean the Bible is deficient.”
So, you are one that can spot deficiencies in the Bible?
Did I say the Bible was deficient? Re-read the comment.
He does not share any of the theological arguments that make christianity and existence of alien sentient life compatible.
Well said. Find some shade and a fan today.
Yes, they existed before the flood. This includes the angels who left their first estate to descend down Mt Hermon, through a gateway, into the world of man.
Thank-you. Will listen later on.
Good post on the five stages of grief.
Unfortunately to get to acceptance most folks have to pass through all the stages—not fun.
Denial is the scariest—because it means there is a long way to go...
For those who are interested here is a podcast with some folks who tell their stories about alien contact—both good and bad:
https://podbay.fm/p/aliens-and-artists
Their experiences and views match up well with the five stages of grief model.
“He discusses the popular idea that aliens are related to demons, or are demons.”
Wait. What? Signs presented real ETs, not spirits or demons. How is the point of that movie not real aliens or ETs? I mean... tap water, to my knowledge, does not harm or kill demons (shaking head).
People don't read the stories and they don't evaluate the information that is coming out and they don't take a deep dive into the credentials and history of the people who are giving their accounts.
The problem these people are going to face is that this story isn't going to advance in a way that conforms to the speed at which they move through these stages of grief. This story doesn't care about their denial, anger, or depression.
Disclosure or confirmation (whatever one wants to call it) is here...now.
We've all seen the people on these threads who are in deep denial. I would say there's reason to be concerned but there isn't. These people will adapt because they will have no choice.
Whatever these things are, whatever it is all about...it is upon us. Whatever it is, it is real.
Michael Heiser seemed to have great insight into the spirit world.
I watched a previous vid by this guy, and iirc..
...he allows “ 2nd temple writtings” and non canonical books
(other than enoch),
along with other pseudographical writtings
to base his veiw of the spiritual realm.
Be a berean and compare/vet his views with scripture.
You are correct sir.
Heiser doesn't "allow them" as you say. I presume your comment "allow them" means to include them with canon.
I have read most of Heiser's vast amount of writings on the Bible and he has always carefully explained that Enoch is NOT in the Biblical canon.
BTW, Heiser applauds the Bereans and their careful study of Scripture and incorporates their approach in his work on the Bible.
Heiser is an Old Testament, Ancient Hebrew and Semitic Languages scholar, who has actually looked at the original texts and their meaning.
I highly recommend Heiser's The Unseen Realm. If you haven't read it, I think you will find it fascinating.
