Last night saw about 17 pro-lifers in front of the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, MA to protest the employment of Howard Brown, Planned Parenthood "escort," as a counselor at Catholic Charities. The event at the Hawthorne was a fundraiser for Catholic Charities. Some who appeared to be Catholic Charities employees were visibly upset by our presence, while other attendees displayed agreement with our cause. There is an unconfirmed report that Mr. Brown has been given his notice, and that he will soon be laid off — but similar reports in recent months have proven fruitless.

Very well done, folks! I applaud your efforts. If we had a dedicated group of people doing this in every diocese across the country, real progress could be made. May the Holy Spirit continue to awaken the hearts of the faithful across America and the world.

IMHO, if some dioceses are reduced to paupery, that wouldn't be such a bad thing. Poverty, after all, is a virtue and it will help defeat the vanity that infects some members of the hierarchy.

My concern is that important ministries would be cut or eliminated. For instance, could the Diocese of Cleveland survive without this:

Cleveland Diocese Logo: Decapitated Dove inside a Rainbow Colored Triangle [not a joke]

It seems as if Catholic Charities has been infiltrated, and that Cardinal Law isn't interested.

I've been to a few march for life's in Boston and DC, and I've seen Cardinal Law march in them. I've also seen (the prophet) Bill Kotter holding up huge banners (30' long) with the words, "Excommunicate Kennedy and Kerry." I've seen Law talk to him on several occassions. But I don't see anything being done.
