Thank you for the ping. It is worth reading those his closing proposals are off track.

We need a new oath of allegiance and obedience (to Jesus Christ, the Church, the Pope, and the Magisterium), an oath which the bishops and cardinals (and priests, deacons and religious) must take, and the Vatican needs to have Inquisitors to perform job performace evaluations in light of that oath of allegiance. Those who fail get bounced out with all due haste. One of the greatest problems in the Catholic Church in America are religious sisters and nuns like Joan Chittester, OSB who continue on their merry way into heresy without being forcefully and definitively silenced by Rome.

We need the Pope to do what he is not prepared to do. We need him to sack all of the Cardinals except for Bevilacqua, Dulles, and retired Cardinal Hickey. FReeper Cap'n Crunch reminded me of the visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich, and I am certain he is right to make the connection between her visions and the current crisis. I'm flaggin him hoping he will post those visions to this thread.

Ooh,I am so happy that you are continuing to help us,I hope part of the reason,at least,is that you are feeling so much better. You are,in my book "the king of the ping"

Additionally, you have a remarkable ability to sum up the information and produce some plan of action that if effected will lead to the outcomes all orthodox, conservative and tradition minded Catholics desire.

One of the few things the writer of the article had right, despite the huge amount of words used to say little,is that for the most part, this is a reiteration of crimes and sins committed, brought out and addressed in past years. The real question is,why now? I have my own ideas, what do others think?

John Paul II will not do this; no Pope would do this.

You don't understand John Paul II. He is doing everything he can, as Jesus did, to bring people IN to the Church, and you and many others on FR are dying to start kicking people OUT of the Church. Your "oath of allegiance" would have already been tried, if folks like Ratzinger thought it would work. It wouldn't work, nor would your "job evaluations." This is not IBM, h_m. It's the Catholic Church.

Anne Emmerich may be a saint, but her "visions" are not approved nor sanctioned by the Church.

. A second, generally advanced by liberals, is the opening of the Latin-rite priesthood to married men (and women), with a concomitant dissolution of the clerical culture currently set apart by celibacy. A third solution, now generally favored by everyone, is reliance on civil authorities to investigate and resolve allegations of sexual molestation. The proposed solutions are not mutually exclusive, and they are all worth discussing

HeY, Pete. The Pope, infallibly, has stated that WOMEN CAN'T BE ORDAINED." WHAT PART OF CAN'T DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? THE "QUESTION" IS CLOSED. GET OVER IT
