God bless.
I don't know how many of you are Irish-American, but it is really rare to find speakers of Gaelic in America. My father and mother both had Gaelic as their mother tongue. So now I want to tell you about heaven's gift to my father today. I hope it is not presumptuous to see it as a particular gift from heaven for my father, but it certainly feels like such a blessing.
The nurse on the 12 hour shift caring for Da today is a young lass originally from Connemara, Ireland. Her name is Eileen, and she speaks Gaelic beautifully and fluently. You should see how happy Da is speaking with her. (He has already learned that she is unmarried, and Da wants me to introduce her to my son Finn. I can tell he's feeling better now that he's back to arranging marriages. ;^)
God bless.
