And the suspicion increases that George Soros is bankrolling the Libertarian Party.

Well, put a little tin foil on it and see if it's better in the morning.

And you received your doctorate from what university? How many books on philosophy have you written? How many lectures on the History of Western Philosophy have you given? You teach where?

I think his idea is basically:
Both parties are doing the exact same things.
There is no hope of changing the Dems, but the Repubs could change if they are sufficiently motivated.
Only a crushing defeat that carries the possibility of being out of power for 40 years AGAIN will motivate the fat cats in charge to change.
Therefore, the Rebup leadership must be punished and, in the absence of any other choice, the only option is the Dems.

Don't discount the idea too quickly; it is basically the idea that kept Repub voters home in droves in the last election. If the Repub leadership doesn't learn, the next election could give the Dems commanding control (rather than the narrow control they have now) of Congres. With the Mcain-Fiengold Incumbent Protection Law in force, it could take decades to change that.

If you can neither take the time to answer my questions, nor read his books, then I won't take the time to answer your question.

Wonderful exposition of why I used to be a Libertarian and now can't run away fast enough from those who still claim to be. Philosophically, Libertarians used to claim to be heirs of Ayn Rand, who for her many personal flaws, still understood that human beings are not perfectible and require aspirations higher than the pursuit of their base pleasures.

It is the project of the Utopian Left, not the conservative Right, to enforce a vision of perfection upon mankind through the agency of Government.

Republican politicians may be imperfect, they may even at times be fools, but they are not captives of an ideology committed to the destruction of Liberty in the name of a perverse concept of "Justice", which is not morally neutral but instead supremely dependent upon morality. I've concluded that Libertarians are more interested in the freedom to smoke dope, protect abortion "rights" and deny the existence of God than they are in the preservation of our Republic.

Well, now we've got Democrats.

Hope they're happy.

Oh, I remember the complaints in November..."The republicans aren't conservative enough, so I'm not voting for them" And, they finished it with "it won't matter if the democrats take control of congress" They continued "don't worry about the democrats winning the election, they'll be powerless to do anything, why they would never try to do something stupid like undermine the troops"

Oh, I remember it well.

People choosing not to vote republican is one reason today we say "Speaker Nancy Pelosi"

I hope all alternative and non-voters enjoy giving power to those who are the enemies of the best interests of our country.
