you accuse me of being ‘low brow’ and then reach for the kook-bottle with ...

“My idea of peace through strength involves pointing a few nuclear-tipped missles at Mecca with the understanding that Mecca would be vaporized if the hair of an American were so much as mussed by an angry Muslim. “

.. inasmuch as Americans have alrady been killed by terrorists, and not a one of them were resident of Mecca, either this is faux bravado or a most horrific statement of xenophobic prejudice. This deathwish on (mostly nonviolent) muslims could be paired neatly with the blind rage of the terrorists themselves, who went after innocents in the twin towers in their rage against USA.

You can’t get lower than that blundering stupidity.

Then explain the hundreds of nuclear warheads we once had aimed at the Soviet Union.

You blame US Presidents for unprovoked attacks on US soil by America’s enemies, then you call for nuking Mecca in response to terrorism.
Now you deflect a challenge to that blunder by asking “explain the hundreds of nuclear warheads we once had aimed at the Soviet Union.”

Inapt analogy, as we never used nukes over a small act of terrorism, and never used it against USSR despite many proxy conflicts, each of which was larger than the whole global war on terror.

But I don’t need to explain it, you are the “peace is the proper preserve of a true conservative” know-it-all who seems to have your own view of history.
