| Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

Well we could’ve just closed the door, but I was concerned she’d wake up disoriented.
Costwise, I have not added the receipts up.
Time wise, I don't know hours really. It's been many evenings and weekends for about 5 months to get it "campable". I still need to finish it. Literally even, since the spar varnish still must go on. The fenders are another thing to do.
If you'll notice the ugly utility trailer fenders went camping. I have these to mount, once I figure how:
Thanks for the reply and info. From what I recall on the price on the 4x10 red oak plywood it won’t be cheap. And IT does not sound like it would be a three weekend project-)
Tell the working stiff and the Princess Helper good job for me

Poor itty bitty girl rolling out....but she really is styling the barbie band-aids.
Looks like a wonderful time PE & I just have to say what wonderful parents you & your Mrs are.
By the end of the trip the boat had acquired gun ports, a stern gallery and poop deck and a forecastle.
The engineer in you never rests does he???? :)
Thanks for pinging me to this!
Well that is just cool as all getout! Looks like ya’ll have a most excellent family outing there. Great job to all of you on that teardrop. I am impressed!!! :-)
Speaking of campers check this out

I recall seeing something like this for American cars back in the 70s, but it didn’t last for whatever reason.

Why, thank you.
The engineer in you never rests does he???? :)
Not very often.
Thanks 'Neighbor.
Just realized I posted at the Foxhole & didn’t say hello to the hosts....Hiya snippy & samwise!:)
Wonderful, it is very cool.
LOL.
That’s pretty awesome, PE. When are you building mine?
Greetings o Samwise :-)
A week or so ago when gas got down to 2.88 at the local C-Store I accused the Guys of trying to put OPEC out of business!
Off to work I must go Have a great day

I gotta build one for the kids now. Next step will be to get triple tow legalized here.
Here in the northern part of the country of Texas, we’re seeing upper 2.40’s.
LOL. From the great state of Indiana....
You got the wrong Sam. SAMWolf is the cohost of the Foxhole. I’m just the hobbit who leaves spitballs all over the place. But “hello” anyway!
If I were a cynic, I’d say prices will soar after the election.
LOL. Yep, we’re still finding spitballs in the Foxhole.
Get out of town! You could with those gas prices. I paid 2.49 today, can’t even remember when it was that low.
Oopsie....confusing “Sam’s” am I?
Well.....gives me chance to wish you all wonderful weekend!:)
That’s okay, we knew what you meant and Samwise was always the teacher’s (Samwolf) pet so she deserved a mention. :-)
Oh boy, are we gonna pay through the nose after the elections.
2.09 in North Kansas City last Friday according to the daughter:-)

PBBBBBBBT!
$2.09 is incredible. I never thought I’d see gas under $3 again. Too bad they won’t stay there.
I would not be surprised to see the price of gas stay at around $2.00 give or take .25 for the next year or so. Gas/oil prices are cyclical in nature and we will be on a down cycle for a while.
I hope:-)
The best thing to do will be to drill here, drill now but with oil prices depressed the sheeple will forget till prices go back up.

Holey Moley! Gas is $1.88 today.
Good night Irene! We heard it was lowest in Indiana. The lowest we’ve seen it here is 2.26.
It's only fair. We've been paying 20 to 30 cents more than Indianapolis since forever. Now, we are the lowest in Indiana.
I credit cell phones. We've been broadtexting the cheapest prices. Moms, kids, we all do it. LOL
But we're gonna pay after the election; I just know it.
Just in. Gas is $1.82.
Howdy Samwise, good to see you
How goes everything in The Shire?
Back to work I must go

Wow! That’d make a handy weapon.
I bet he’d be great with SPITBALLS.
LOL. And he doesn’t even really aim. It’s like a reflex. Pretty cool.
Watch the video. Incredible.
Greetings o Samwise, hope everything is well in the Shire this fine April Morn. That is a pretty cool video, always wanted to go to Germany, now maybe I have an extra good reason
Speaking of train sets this was on Craigslist a few days back...

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, I could not figure out how to fit it in the house:-)

We are fine. Nothing new, except Hobbit Lass keeps growing up.
That’s the problem with babies, puppies and kittens, they grow up:-)
Does she graduate this year, if I may inquire?

Steve found this last week, isn’t it great! I’d love to see it in person.
Sending out a prayer request to a lot of old freeper friends here:
My youngest daughter is dating a guy (Jeff) who is currently serving in Iraq. Couple of weeks ago Jeff’s convoy was hit by “something” we don’t have details still. What we knew is that his uniform was destroyed but he was back on the job in a few days. He was still having to see medics to have some shrapnel removed every day.
He was back to work 2 days ago and escorting another convoy. This morning, daughter received a message from one of Jeff’s buddies. They had to take Jeff into emergency for severe internal pain in his stomach and chest. He was evacuated and the buddies don’t know what is happening back on base at the hospital. (They are still on convoy.)
That is all the information that we have. He’s in a hospital, probably in Baghdad. Unknown problem. Unknown condition.
Thank you all for prayers. I know you are all prayer warriors for our troops.
BTTT
Thanks for prayers. I know I missed some on my ping here cause I can’t remember who all I typed “to”.
But, Just heard from Myranda who just heard from Jeff in the hospital in Baghdad. Thankfully, his problem is not related to the wounding week before last. He has kidney stones. Myranda said he’s still in a lot of pain so I’m sure he appreciates your prayers in that also.
Thanks to all!
Wneighbor
Thanks for including me in the ping. We’ll keep Jeff in our prayers.
Kidney stones are no fun when they hit you when your well.
Sound like Jeff will be okay but kidney stones are no fun. Been there etc.
Will keep the lad and the daughter in our thoughts that all goes and ends well
Regards

BTTT
Whew! Thank goodness although kidney stones can be bad too! Prayers for a quick recovery.
