London Report: Bin Laden May Hit New York, Stock Exchange

The London-based Terrorism and Security Monitor is reporting that US intelligence sources are worried that terrorist Osama Bin Laden may be planning a major terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

US sources are said "to be particularly concerned about some kind of attack on New York, and they have recommended stepped-up security at the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve.

U.S. Authorities believe Bin Laden may have acquired chemical weapons.

Reports of Bin Laden’s activities come on the heels of heightened agitation among Muslims against the West.

Yossef Bodansky, staff director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare says "There are rumblings throughout the Islamic community right now. There’s a lot of movement and talk. It’s like a volcano just before the explosion.”

Well, considering the modus operandi of the current administration, could it be that another presidential scandal could be ready to erupt?? Otherwise, I wouldn't have a clue. I can't imagine the press actually REPORTING a story without some ulterior motive behind it...you?

Why is this information being leaked?

Look at a few other dots.

100,000 new cops on the street seems to have translated into hundreds of poorly trained SWATs.

The military is practicing urban warfare.

Waco investigation reveals Delta Force involvement.

Slick bombs an empty Ben Laden camp in Afganistan and an aspirin factory in Sudan, angering terrorists.

Slick grants clemency to FALN terrorists and issues a visa to FALN mastermeind in Cuba to allow a visit to the U.S.

There is documented but unreported, except by Fox, evidence of Russian and Chinese nationals being smuggled into the U.S.

Slick purposely weakened our military and wasted most of our ordinance.

Slick has dispersed our troops all over the world in small contingences.

FEMA is beefed up and given emergency powers by Executive Order.

Despite protestations to the contrary, Slick is doing more to hamper Al Gores run for the presidency than help.

Slick is a Marxists who loves his job and doesn't want to leave.

Do the dots connect in anyway? Maybe or maybe I am a paranoid kook.

Note that the report isn't really frmo London. The original cited source is "US Intelligence Agencies".

I smell a Reichstagg fire.

Also notice that ABC is now running a 5 part series warning America about biological terrorist attacks.

Anybody near Dugway able to tell us if there are a lot of cargo planes up there all of a sudden?

You smell a "Reichstagg fire" when the local Pizza joint burns down because some 16 year old blew up the stove. You are a hoot...

It occurs to me that the market is overdue for a "correction" (Calling a stock market crash a "correction" is like calling the Titanic's hitting the iceburg a "course change").

But if the exchange gets dusted with anthrax and the market plunges during the ensuing chaos, the crash gets blamed on "terrorists" instead of the market manipulation used to overvalue the stocks in the first place.

Cute.

""I smell a Reichstagg fire. " You smell a "Reichstagg fire" when the local Pizza joint burns down because some 16 year old blew up the stove. You are a hoot... "

Well, let's put it this way. The US Intelligence services keep claiming to know what Osama Bin Laden is up to, yet they cannot find him to arrest him, and the last time they claimed to actually be able to identify part of his operation in Sudan, it turned out to be a total cluster fuck, for which we, the taxpayers, will have to cough up several million dollars to rebuild that aspirin factory.

So, given that the source for this latest rumor, the US intelligence services, don't actually know where Osama is and have a proven track record of not knowing what he is doing, then this leak is purely for manipulating public opinion.

Yeah, Rivero's a kook - I mean, the government would never hype terrorism, or use it as an excuse for eroding civil rights. Naw, would never happen. /sarcasm.

You've been here all of two weeks and you act like you know everything. Try chilling out and reading before flaming - we've been lied to continously about Kosovo, Sudan, bin Laden, and so forth, and historically lies about external "enemies" are a favored method for usurping power and alarming the masses so they can be more easily manipulated. You're revealing your historical ignorance with your flames.

Thanks. Mm-hmm, the deliberate vagueness about sources is what made me question this. I think a well-timed hit at the Fed or the NYSE could add a lot to a Y2K/martial law scenario. Some major inquiries -- IMF, Waco, Chinese $$ and spying, e.g. -- would be delayed indefinitely.

OK, you know FR - what of the history of creating external "enemies" to alarm the populace, of which the Reichstag Fire is the leading example? We've heard how Bin Laden is this terrorist mastermind extraordinare, yet we haven't heard boo from him in over a year, despite non-stop reports that some kind of dastardly deed was imminent.

Excellent point. I wondered about this this morning when I read the articleabout Bin Laden. It seemsto me a terrorist would want to strike at the GOVERNMENT, not the NYSE where many foreign people (including, I bet, Bin Laden) have a lot of their money invested. This does seem to be more than a little bit fishy.

This is bang on. The market is in for a huge tumble. What the money men don't want is for anyone to sift through the ashes afterward and discover that they were the ones who precipitated the crash with a combination of fractional reserve banking and debt-based "economic productivity". It will be blamed on terrorism and Y2K panic, and the records will be burned and bulldozed (metaphorically) so that the public cannot discover the truth.

YIKES....but not one person questions the folks who posted/wrote the so-called "leak"...do THEY have an agenda? Does NewsMax have an agenda (I THINK so).

Did someone just make this up? I vote for the "made it up" concept....to often folks just read it on FR and take it as truth or a Government planted story. Silly, silly, silly...not to mention paranoid.

It doesn't have to be a Dr. Doom-like plan for world domination and martial law. It's more likely part of the continued attempt of the political and media establishment to get the American people used to military intervention in domestic affairs (and have them glad of the fact). So we'll get used to seeing soldiers on street corners, and later will feel safer from "terrorists" when they ask to see our papers. That ain't kookjob, it's reflected in the ongoing battle over a national identity card, the stated desire to name a military commander for the domestic U.S. territory, and other little nasties reported not in NewsMax but the Washington ComPost.

Shillary's trip is to inform nations that the debt will be forgiven IF they do not cash in any more T bills. The ole bubble is getting much closer to the burst. I wonder how long it will be before these Repubs tell us why there will be no tax cut.

Dirt,
I think your right .

The whole premise behind "mandatory seat belt inspections, Drug roadblocks (complete with sniffing dogs),and the new baby seat stops, for proper installation, are nothing more than a conditioning of the public to accept a loss of rights for their so called "freedom". Couple this with a rewriting of history and a absolute smear of anyone who makes a statement of fact against a group as a racist, and you have the prescription for a controlled society. Happy to be safe ,, Happy to be inspected, whether its there houshould or their cavities.

Curious to where you "heard" that news. I assume you mean that folks are not buying T-bills at the offering...one does not "cash in" a T-bill...it matures or is traded in the open market. But, I have not heard that the Treasury was having problems "selling" T-bills. BTW, T-bills are the most secure debt instrument in the world...bar none.

Kind of contradictory - non-debtor nations like Japan are the ones holding most of the T-Bill debt. The next few months are going to be an interesting battle of liquidity.

There is an apocryphal story about John Kennedy Sr. just before the great crash in 1930. At that time the US markets were in a bubble remarkably similar to the one we are in - where the price of a stock bears no resemblance to the earnings. Kennedy was getting his shoes shined by a shoe-shine boy. The boy tried to give him a tip on a hot stock. It is said that Kennedy realized then and there that if even a lowly shoe shine boy was giving stock tips, the public must be fully invested. If everyone was fully invested, he reasoned, stocks had nowhere to go but down. Kennedy promptly sold out of the markets and saved his fortune.

Are we fully invested now?

I have been seeing advertisments for the last 6 months with the following scenarios:

1. Teen comes home late from party. Parents greet him at the door with a grounding for staying out too late and not doing his chores. Teen replies "you can't control me forever" and runs to his waiting Bell Jet Ranger. Teen had invested his allowance in the stock market.

2. Old woman on airplane knitting, sitting beside smarmy young suit. She asks if he ever does any investing. He sneers that he does and rolls his eyes. Foreign dignitary comes back from first class and thanks old woman for bailing out his country's economy. She's glad to help. Old woman had invested her pin money in the markets.

3. Two sneering young suits are sitting in a bar. They ask "pops" to change the channel to financial news. He asks a financial question, They sneer, rolling their eyes and tell him to just get them some peanuts. Financial news discloses that "pops" just sold 400 million corporation. Grubby bartender had invested his meager earnings in the markets.

When the financial sector starts pitching to teens, blue collar workers and old spinsters, you know that they are desperate for new infusions of cash to take overpriced stock out of their greedy hands. It means the public is close to fully invested. When no more money goes into the bubble, it explosively decompresses.

As a graduate of the army Nuclear Biological and Chemical Wargare School, and a published author on Chemical Weapons/Chemical Terrorism, let me say that I predicted just such an attack in 1995. Wall Street is the PERFECT target.

LOTS of people, tightly confined, not a lot of wind...but that really doesn't matter in a nerve agent attack...the stuff has a consistency like motor oil and evaporates about as fast....Were I going to do this, I'd have several propane tanks about the size required of your average barbeque grill charged full of GD SOMAN nerve agent in near pure form. Put 'em atop some buildings and crack the valves. This would require a few suicide personnel to accomplish the attack, but I'll bet a few Islamic Fundamentalist whackos will volunteer!

In pure form (it will require professional, government sized facilities to charge the bottles-probably Ghadafi) it'll only take about NINE seconds from first contamination for the first deaths to begin.

Just for your information the symptoms that positively identify nerve gas poisoning: Tightness in chest (like an elephant sitting on your chest!), dim vision and a profusely runny nose...all at once and for no logical reason. IF you notice this happening, and you suddenly go into convulsions, just relax...you have but mere seconds to live.

US sources are said "to be particularly concerned about some kind of attack on New York, and they have recommended stepped-up security at the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve.

What about the World Trade Center? What about the subway system?

By the way, remember my suspicions about the bombing of the aspirin factory, which ended up squelching the FBI's chance to interrogate the two bin Laden associates that the Sudan had nabbed. If, as I suspect, the U.S. government was somehow complicit in the bombings of the U.S. embassies in East Africa, that shows bin Laden bombs to Clinton's orders. Another OKC, anyone?

"When the financial sector starts pitching to teens, blue collar workers and old spinsters, you know that they are desperate for new infusions of cash to take overpriced stock out of their greedy hands. It means the public is close to fully invested."

Your point may be correct.

But the advertising you cited doesn't support it.

Speaking as an ad guy, those commercials are not targeted against teenagers, blue collar workers and old spinsters.

Instead, they're targeted against people who have money. In particular, idle money. Coffee can buried in the backyard kind of money.

They're using the extreme to make their point.

So, citing the spots doesn't serve to support your point.

Rule of thumb: The only time ad agencies want you to take the ads literally is when they're selling an analgesic.

Tried to post this before, but it didn't "take." Here we go again....

Speaking as a graduate of the army Nuclear Biological & Chemical Warfare School, and a published author on the subject of chemical weapons and chemical terrorism, I predicted that just such an attack would occur as long ago as 1995. Why it didn't then is nothing short of a miracle.

Wall Street is the PERFECT target for a chemical attack. Tons of people, tightly enclosed...difficult to get emergency vehicles in or out...lot of buildings to keep the agent from dispersing.

Were I going to do this...I'd have a couple of canisters like barbeque type propane tanks charged up with a good nerve agent, say GD SOMAN...in a nearly pure state, it'll have the consistency of motor oil...with the same rate of evaporation. Put the canisters on top of some nearby buildings....you'll require a suicide type fundamentalist to do this, because he will surely die...but Bin Laden has LOTS of them...but since the contents are under pressure, just crack the valves at lunchtime...and a misty rain begins to fall. In pure form, it'll take about 9 seconds from the moment of first contamination for the dying to begin.

Just for your information the symptoms that positively identify nerve agent poisoning are:

A tightness in the chest (like an elephant sitting there!), dimness of vision, and a profusely runny nose. If all this seems to happen all of a sudden, for no logical reason...don't even worry. If you suddenly go into convusions, just relax. You have but mere moments to live.

For those who haven't seen them yet, here's the article and your replies (click here for the entire original thread):

Sudan renews appeal for U.N. investigation of U.S. attack

AP - 9/30/99

UNITED NATIONS (AP) - Sudan renewed its call Thursday for a U.N. fact-finding mission to visit a factory bombed by the United States to show that the plant produced only pharmaceuticals - not chemical weapons agents as alleged by Washington.

The fact that the Clinton administration recently freed the assets of the factory owner provides ``clear and irrefutable proof'' that the al-Shifa plant had no link to terrorism and produced nothing but harmless vaccines, Foreign Minister Mustafa Osman Ismail said.

``This action reaffirms that the justifications put forward by the U.S. for the bombing of al-Shifa factory are baseless,'' he told the General Assembly.

Dozens of U.S. newspaper reports have questioned the U.S. intelligence data about the factory, which Washington bombed Aug. 20, 1998, alleging it had ties to Osama bin Laden. Washington accuses bin Laden of being behind the twin embassy bombings in Africa and bombed his camp in Afghanistan on the same day as the al-Shifa strike.

U.S. officials have said a soil sample taken from the factory site contained evidence of Empta, a precursor of the deadly VX nerve agent.

But in a speech to the General Assembly, Ismail said an investigation carried out by American experts hired by Al-Shifa's owner found no evidence of chemical weapons at the site.

``We appeal to the United Nations ... to urge the Security Council to send a mission to find the facts about the destruction of the al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory,'' Ismail said.

He urged the United States not to object ``since it is confident of the information and the causes that led it to bomb the factory.''

Immediately after the strike, Sudan asked the council to urgently dispatch a fact-finding mission to the site. But the United States objected, saying it had its own evidence to justify the attack.

Since 1983, nearly 2 million people have died from fighting and famine in Sudan. Several international mediation efforts have failed.

In his speech, Ismail renewed the government's call for a cease-fire with rebels fighting in the southern part of the country, and pledged new aid for Sudanese suffering from the war and famine.

-----------------------------------------------

"Everybody's forgetting what I think was the real reason for the attack. The Sudan had arrested two associates of bin Laden suspected of involvements in the embassy bombings and was offering to turn them over to the FBI -- offering, that is, until we bombed their aspirin factory. Bubba was afraid of what they would tell. Bombing the aspirin factory was his way of sabotaging the FBI investigation."

---------------------------------------------------------

"MSNBC had two reports a month or two ago. According to the first, the Sudan apprehended those two associates of bin Laden, as I reported in my last posting. After Clinton bombed the aspirin factory, the Sudan released the two suspects to the Pakistani authorities, who I understand let them free. Bin Laden is in cahoots with the Pakistani government. The Pakistani government supports the Taliban in Afghanistan. The Taliban are very much beholden to bin Laden, and protect him. So releasing these two to the Pakistanis meant there would be no serious investigation.

"According to the second MSNBC report, a couple of weeks later, Congress was investigating the matter. Apparently the FBI, which had wanted to interrogate the two, was very much miffed that the interrogation had been, shall we say, prevented."

Exactly.

Who knows who put this story out about the Stock exchange as a possible Ben Ladin terrorist attack target????

Could be disinformation. Could be legitimate effort by those in our government who DON'T KNOW what is going on behind the scenes but who have been fed this "warning". Could be those who DO KNOW what is going on behind the scenes but WHO DON'T WANT ANY PART IN IT AND WHO, INDEED, WANT TO STOP IT, AND ARE TRYING TO GET THE WORD OUT TO ANY HONEST GOVERNMENT AGENTS LEFT WHO CAN FIND WAYS TO STOP THIS BEFORE IT HAPPENS! (that's my hope)

Or it could be coming from those WHO DO KNOW what the plans are who are getting the word out in advance, so that if and when something like this occurs, they can say, "See, we tried to warn Americans. We knew this type of attack could occur. Now we MUST institute Martial Law, just until all possible terrorists are rounded up and questioned. This may take all year but we won't stop until the perpetrators are found and put on trial! Elections? We can hold them next year. What is more important, holding our usual elections or protecting this country from further terrorist attacks?

In fact, in answer to questions before Congress, who was it that said when speaking about what kinds of preparations the government (police agencies and military) were making in case of Y2K worst case scenarios, I believe. Who was it who said something like: "We are prepared for a stock market crash and the effects that would have on people...." something to that effect. (Aside: This terrorist attack on Wall street scenario gives stock market "crash" a whole new meaning, doesn't it?)

With tinfoil hat firmly in place, but with enough mysterious and deadly incidents which have ALREADY taken place during this administration, and joining those who have been predicting just such a scenario: It seems clear that agents of our own government perhaps in league WITH those Islamic or other types of terrorist friends that the Clinton Crime Regime has developed over these years (IRA, FALN, PLO, ALBANIAN TERRORISTS to name a few) are indeed planning some kind of "attack" on our own citizens in the coming months.

My guess is that there are other agents in this government (perhaps Louie Freeh is one of them, I pray he is) who have seen what has happened at Waco, OKC, and Columbine and, yes, with the embassy bombings and the (ha) cruise missile "attacks" in response to them....WHO KNOW WHAT IS GETTING READY TO HAPPEN AND WHO ARE TRYING TO STOP IT!

I would ask those who are PRAY-ERS here at FR to pray that the plans of evil men will not succeed, that God will intervene and stop the death and destruction before anything like what they are planning takes place. That men and women who are in places to see and know what is going to happen will turn around, change their minds, take courage and TURN IN those destroyers who will DO ANYTHING in order to extend their power and control over the American people!

Sorry for the long post but it was on my heart this morning. I just have this urgent sense of a need for prayer for God's intervention. He alone knows exactly what is ahead. Should the worst occur, we will see an Amerika unlike anything we have seen before and our Constitutional freedoms will be snuffed out overnight in the effort which will be WELCOMED in the press and even by the blindsided Republicans in the Senate/House (excluding Bob Barr and, perhaps, Sen. Inhoffe who has seen the beast up close) to CLAMP DOWN on personal freedoms (only temporarily of course) in the name of anti-terrorist response to whatever deadly attack they have planned.

We must understand that a government that would incinerate men, women, and children; a government that would at the least know about and more likely PLAN the bombing of its own building in which men women and children were klled; a government which would use its agents to use two teenage boys in order to kill TEENAGE children and let a teacher bleed to death; a government which probably bombed its own embassies in order to create an Islamic terrorist bogeyman who can be used conveniently any time they need him, (while ignoring the REAL terrorists such as the FALN terrorists recently set free!); such a government (executive branch) in the firm grip of the Marxist/Maoist/Globalists who WILL FORCE THE SPRING (remember Maya Angelou's poem??? (except they will FORCE THE COLD AND DARK OF WINTER IF THEY SUCCEED) in order to achieve their TOTALITARIAN GOALS, would PERPETRATE THIS HORROR ON ITS OWN PEOPLE, MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN! This is not tinfoil. This is stark reality after looking at the events of these 7 years.

I hope others will add earnest prayers that the plans of the enemy will fail! I don't care about being proven "right". I don't want to see the tragedies occur that we KNOW are in the plans for unsuspecting innocent Americans! Do you?

I'm not suggesting that old ladies, kids and blue collar are the exact demographic being targetted, though they are certainly part of it. I'm suggesting just as you said: they are targetting those who are not "sophisticated" enough to already be in the market. These days, that's very small number.

There is no "antidote" for nerve agent poisoning, there is a drug called atropine which will stabilize the symptoms and allow for medical evacuation...the tetracycline is probably enhanced and a dose against the biologic anthrax weapon...but we're talking CHEMICAL weapons here...a BIG difference!

YUP. They KNEW it and they were prepared for it. But NOT like we know they should have been. The preps they made were probably for the RESULTS of their refusal to prevent.

Remember all the talk on FR about those 'concentration camps' set up in the US? How a lot of folks thought it was for the Y2K patriots, etc, that klintler/renal would round up? Remember all the things that were being done 'secretly' but freepers discussed?(LOL) All the possible 'scenarios' related to Y2K????

It doesn't take much of an imagination to think that THIS is what all the planning and camps , etc. were REALLY for. Those concentration camps would make an IDEAL isolation unit for those exposed/affected by anthrax/smallpox. The incinerators at those compounds would be a good way to dispose of infected dead bodies.

I'm fairly new to all this but believe me, I'm learning. Therefore, thank you for the additional information. I'll read it!

I'll 'resurrect' an old thread for you. It deals with klintler. But the scenarios are strangely close to the current events. Watch for it.

I't kinda hard to wrap your mind around it (just like it's hard to imagine flying planes into buildings) but I think there are more than a few things that point to 9-11 being a failed coup attempt with the results being just what you said: "klintler back in office".

Like I said, I'm new to all this so I didn't have the benefit of years worth of tin-foil stuff, kinda came across it on my own and have subsequently discovered that others (FReepers of course) have speculated the same............

London Report: Bin Laden May Hit NYSE

Yes, he may. Then again, he might not. Just like Bin Laden may be dead. Then again, he might not be. Nothing like covering your butt, is there? If it doesn't happen, you can always say, "hey, we never said it would happen. Just that it may". What a crock.

This is News Max, reporting what some British publication is saying about what certain US Intelligence agencies are supposedly saying. Third hand information, in other words.

News Max is not quite in the Debka class, but it's not far off.

Could be why the democrats so desperately needed to win Florida. And they were desperate. I think back to Cheney's campaign words, "The wheel has turned ...". It seemed to be almost a mantra. Had Gore won, what would America look like today?

I'm sure you'll want to bookmark this thread...I love post 67. Pretty prophetic, and he isn't even a paid consultant!

Seems to me that the intelligence community would have known much more than even we know. The ball was dropped, who was responsible?

I don't know about this, security in that area is majorly tight. All trucks get stopped and questioned down there. The NYPD is everywhere. And there are concrete barriers up around all the buildings. Noone is getting any truck directly up to the exchange as the streets are closed.

Interesting. The emphasis in the original report was on chemical weapons. How would atropine injectors have stopped the aircraft?

Do you understand the difference between someone saying, "Well, they could do THIS or they could do THAT," and I&W?

Stick to doing funny graphics--that is your area of competence. Making real-world decisions? Without the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, you'd be out of your depth in ten minutes.

You still haven't offered a real-world decision yourself, unless of course you include the choice of doing nothing. Is that what you're saying? You mental titans of intelligence prefer doing nothing about terrorism?

No, something WAS done--barricades to stop truck bombs were put in place, gear to detect small amounts of explosives was purchased and installed, et cetera.

The problem is that with a finite budget for counterterrorism, someone has to make a call as to what threats will get addressed. That, in turn, means that you have to assess the likelihood of a given attack method being used, and then weigh it against the cost of implementing defenses against it. Every dollar spent on one task carries an opportunity cost--namely, you cannot spend that dollar on any other tasks. That makes the decision of what to spend that dollar on so contentious.

The assessment of an airborne threat was that it was a POSSIBLE threat, but not a PROBABLE threat. A far more likely attack method against any given target is the lowly car bomb. That is what got dealt with.

You, with the luxury of knowing what happened on 9/11, carp and complain almightily about the intel agencies doing "nothing." Not having any responsibility must be very nice. The grownups don't have that luxury.

Sorry, things tend to add up in the intelligence world, threats of using planes, prior bombing of the WTC, Phillipine information, Mossad intelligence provided..the list goes on and on...and this is just what WE know. Had the intelligence community not been spending 20,000 man hours making diversity quilts, they might have discovered all of these terrorists in our country learning to fly planes.

Over and over again you seem to be wanting to defend the LACK OF ANY long term action by our defense planners..why is that Poohbah?

Sorry, things tend to add up in the intelligence world,

Indeed they do. The problem is that intelligence work isn't mathematics--there isn't one clearly correct answer until after the fact.

threats of using planes,

People talk, and sometimes talk bigger than they can actually do. The question is whether the threats mentioned were credible and backed up by other evidence available to intelligence agencies.

prior bombing of the WTC,

Which actually LOWERED the likelihood of an attack against the WTC--terrorists tend to not attack the same target over and over.

Phillipine information,

Which did not discuss using airplanes as cruise missiles, but rather bombing several aircraft at once...oops, gee, maybe I shouldn't have discussed that point, since it was addressed by some of the work that was done (bomb detection gear at airports).

Mossad intelligence provided..

The entirety of which was "Something is going to happen somewhere, sometime soon." Gosh, that's just so amazingly precise. What, oh Fountain of Counterterrorist Wisdom, would you have done in response to that warning?

the list goes on and on...

...and contains much contradictory information, the sorting out of which is a difficult task. You appear to claim some sort of mystical ability to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

and this is just what WE know.

And now the standard invocation of "Well, there's NO evidence to support my position, but maybe there is SOMEWHERE." That isn't logical argument.

Had the intelligence community not been spending 20,000 man hours making diversity quilts, they might have discovered all of these terrorists in our country learning to fly planes.

To do that would have required a police state that would have had you screaming your (expletive deleted) head off, pal. Among other things, the CIA (the agency that went in for 20K man-hours of "diversity quilt" silliness) does NOT operate domestically--and that is under the law that established it. If you have a problem with that, then lobby to get the law changed.

Over and over again you seem to be wanting to defend the LACK OF ANY long term action by our defense planners..why is that Poohbah?

Registered, you seem to mistake my patience for weakness. I will tell you this as directly as I can: you are LYING about what I said. Either stop lying about my posts, or admit that you are a subhuman piece of filth, unworthy of association with FR. I pointed out the actions that WERE taken; you are merely angry that these actions did not succeed in stopping the attacks. My position is a LONG ways away from what you say it is.

I will accept your apology for your calumnies whenever your offer it.

Until then, I would ordinarily call you a maggot, but that would be an insult to maggots everywhere.

Listen, you posted that only two options existed for the President...You posted it not me. Remember?

Congress gives you $35 million for a counterterrorism budget. You can:

Put up barricades around 1,000 or so critical facilities to stop truck bombs from getting close enough to damage them,
OR;
Operate two fighter squadrons for one year to cover the entire United States against air attack. That works out to 24 aircraft to guard 9.4 million square kilometers of territory, or just about 1 aircraft per 400,000 square kilometers.

Now, with those two choices in mind, please tell me which course of action you take.

Do you see your own words Poohbah? You are the one that said the President could only take either one of these options as a deterrent to terrorism. You posted this manure, not me. Feel free to call me whatever you like, it shows that you have a lot of maturing left in this life to do. I still don't see why you've chosen to defend an intelligence community that let us down.
