I called Rush today to discuss the possibility that violence similar to that which is occurring at the WTO convention, may also happen at the Republican National Convention this July.
While I was able to state my major point, Rush had hung up and proceeded to mention our escapade with the Teamsters Octber 2, 1998 (without knowing who I was). He got the details incorrect and I was unable to immediately correct him as I was no longer on line nor was I able to identify myself to him.
I was able to contact his program again shortly thereafter to correct the details. F. Lee Levin was also listeneing and contacted Rush regarding the details of our story and also the latest development with John Morris and Local 115. THANK YOU F. LEE LEVIN!!! Rush spent several minutes on the story and also discussed it again after the commercial break and explained our fear about violence at the upcoming Republican convention very precisely. HE ALSO MENTIONED US BY NAME which was kind of him.
Rush also gave freepers a plug and I am so glad because you all have been so supportive, though I too wish he would have said FreeRepublic.
Don and I have sent a letter to the mayor of Philadelphia -- Ed Rendell, the Governor of Pennsylvania--Tom Ridge, Jim Nicholson and John Morris' Attorney requesting that they sign an agreement pledging no violence at the convention. We are going to amend the agreement requesting the participation in the agreement of all local unions.
Of course we have yet to hear a peep from any of them and the letter was sent over a month ago.

Yes, after he read what Levine had sent him, Rush wondered if the caller, "Terry", was you.
Teri,
By luck of the draw I heard your call at approximately 1:50 pm EDT, and Rush's subsequent followups over the next thirty minutes with the help of Mark Levin's e-mail.
Rush mentioned you and Don were FReepers several times.
You made valid points and Rush recognized that, but not you at the time. Were you calling from Denver?
Great job! A+Bert's thread was a vanity. This one isn't.
I don't know what's up but when you go to Don's web page...something comes up in Latin. I don't know if someone is playing games, but I will immediately attempt to correct it!!!
Way to go!!! You sounded great!
I'm glad Mark got through to fill Rush in with the details, and straighten that boy out. Rush even said something complimentary about us freepers.
I've been scared to death since the RNC chose Philadelphia about the Dems trying to disrupt it and that was way before I knew that bald goon had a stash of weapons!!
Damn RNC...they shudda come to Atlanta!!
Tell Mark "Hello"....and to give us plenty of warning the next time he subs as a talk show host. He's the greatest!!
Terri--
I was up on my roof-under-construction pounding nails while listening to Rush today. I turned him on late and did not hear your call.
But I perked up when I heard him talking about You and Don and Morris in Philly. I distinctly heard him say "Oh, was that HER?" when he realized that he had had you on the line earlier.
I explained to my helper what your case was all about and how the corrupt DA had indicted YOU and DON originally instead of the Teamsters. I told him about the long road you have had to walk these last months.
One mind at a time, folks...
I also called him back and got through and corrected him, explaining who I was. He had hung up before I had the opportunity to tell him who I was or respond to his comments to my comments!!! Mark Levin's e-mail was a big help. Mark straightened him out on all the details!!! I am certain he would not have given the story the time that he did without Mark's input!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN, MARK!!!
i n,nm,n
Great work, Don! And I am so glad to hear that the honorable Mr. Levin (who is a man with integrity) saw that the record was set straight, and that the honorable Mr. Limbaugh obliged him.
I am so glad for you! Way to go! And, ya know, Rush has a pretty big heart. He may be a pompous ol fart as part of his sctick, but underneath it all, he is a good human being who loves this nation, his wife and says so and holds his parents (deceased father and living mom) up with respect and affection. He is a good role model to have around...and is there anyone better in today's psycho environment of spin and lies to lay out the truth than Rush? I think not. He is the right man for the times. ( Besides-he is a real pain in the arse to Hillary and Bill, which gives me immense glee. HarHar)
Sometimes I wish I could tell Rush how much I enjoy his commentary and insight. He not only confirms or enhances the information I am hungry for, but he also makes me laugh. How I love his humor.
I think he kinda likes our home here on FR. He knows we are mostly intelligent, fiercely patriotic Americans who care deeply about the scandalous fall from grace our nation seems to be embroiled in...and he says our web site outloud every now and then.
I appreciate this because he gives us a chance to gain new insights from new folks as we grow.
Rush Limbaugh is quite a positive phenomenon, like a rock in blowing sand, and I am so glad he talked of your experience Terry-but I am not surprised. Rush is like that. God Bless him and you too!
I'm not sure that is latin. It could also be esperanto, which is a made-up language.
I will listen to my area's replay of Rush tonight just to hear you.
TO YOU, TERRY!
Nice work, freeper hero.
No way YaYa....lol...the damn RNC 'shudda' come to Indianapolis!
I wonder if Morris's gun stash was intended to be used against the RNC convention next year? Hope someone keeps the articles handy regarding his weaponry supplies. Scary stuff.
Say it isn't so!!! Surely you don't mean that the FR all-purpose critics who keep ragging on Rush and Drudge have there heads planted firmly in their respective arses.
It surely was a blessing to be on Rush's show!!!
Good, I am glad you heard it!!! Aren't we lucky to have Mark Levine on our side???
Bump.
Thank you, YaYa!! Yes, Mark is the greatest!!!
Terry, congrats yet again. The Wall Street Journal last week, Rush this week! BTW, are you going to be out protesting Bill and Ed's Lame Duck Fundraiser tomorrow night?
I am glad you heard Rush talk about the case -- that was the most important thing because we want to do our best to prevent violence at the Republican Convention!! I am also glad that he discussed Jim Hoffa and the latest development with John Morris and Local 115!!! The National Mainstream Media has ignored the story!!!
Rush is an Honorable Man!!!
You portray Rush more accurately and better than I could have. I have always felt the same way about him!!! Your reply is a marvelous tribute to a marvelous man!!!
Wonderful job today on the Rush show. The word is getting around little by little about the Don and Teri Adams case. Today, it took a major leap with the exposure on Rush.
And yes, another THANK YOU Mark for helping get the record straight.
Thanks, Laz. Whatever it is, it is odd!!
Gaijin, it is sweet that you will listen for me!! You have been such a long time and terrific supporter, you have no idea how much it means!!!
What a lovely thing to say but plain Freeper is good enough for me anyday!!!
Rush did an excellent job discussing our case and he didn't have to spend so much time on it. It was very big of him and we are most grateful!!!
Thanks, Laz. Whatever it is, it is odd!!
Odd, schmodd. You got on the Bug Guys show and you did OUTstanding. By the way: You do realize that your case helped to put more focus on Morris and thusly helped in his downfall, don't you. DO YOU REALIZE WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE WE ARE MAKING?!?!?!?! You are clobbering Philly, I intend to clobber Noo Yawk State... We are doin' it, babe, and you go to a mirror and take a good look at a hero. Promise me that?
Thanks, Laz. Whatever it is, it is odd!!
oh. you were talking about the latin/esperanto. oops.
:^)
The exposure has been good, hasn't it??? We will be there!!!
We are lucky to have a fine man like your self standing beside us!!! I wonder how many people are aware that you drove two hours to be a show of support at Don's trial???
Kudos Terry:)
I heard it too. I wish you were able to stay on. Rush gave some good air to the Teamster's atrocity, as well as the local official coverup. Some eyes might have been opened today.
Why on earth would the GOP choose a liberal bastion for their convention? I guess "birthplace of the country"....
If there is trouble, the press will show nothing else!
Mike
Wow, Laz, you have such a wonderful way of putting it!!! It's words like those that I shall always treasure. We are all making a difference, aren't we girl?? We are winning for a change and it does feel good. That's because we all did our part in doing the right thing. I say, New York had better watch out...Laz is on her way!!!
I share your concerns, Michael. Which is the reason I am so happy we got on Rush today!!! Maybe now we will hear something about our offer for an agreement for no violence at the convention!!!

uuuuhhhh....
How do I put this. Let's see. *I* *KNOW*!
If I want to do a medical breast exam, I have to get a girl to cooperate.
;^)
I still mean the rest about ya!
Just want you to see the good news!!!
I meant that in the best of ways, Laz!!! You will be great for New York...Hillary bad, very bad, the worst...Laz -- absolutely the best!!!
Didn't want you to miss this thread!!
I meant that in the best of ways, Laz!!! You will be great for New York...Hillary bad, very bad, the worst...Laz -- absolutely the best!!!
Thanks, and you are the best for PA, but what I am trying to say is I am a guy. Your copy made me believe you thought I was a gal.
Anyhoo. Back to the DownSideLegacy database project. Busy busy busy,... little Santas' elf am I, building toys for ALL the GOOD boys and girls at Free Republic.
Are you sure it isn't Esperanto? I don't read Latin, but I can read this.
It does not seem to be raw esperanto. I checked against esperanto web sites. It seems to be a esperanto-latin mix.
BTTT
Teri: I actually heard you as I was driving to do some errands. I immediately recognized your voice & was yelling "YES YES YES" to the radio. I was disappointed that Rush didn't let you stay on the line but I was thrilled to hear him bring up the "demonstrators beaten by the Teamsters in Philadelphia. Then I had to turn off the radio as I had arrived at my destination."
I am very disappointed that I missed the call from F. Lee Levine giving the correct details. It is shame that you got on just before a commercial break and he had to limit your time.
I hope you'll get through to him again and will be able to talk about the letters you have sent!
In light of the "Battle in Seattle" do you think the FReepers should be sending emails & making calls to support your efforts?
Teri! This is terrific news! I did not hear Rush today, so missed the "encounter" but very glad all was straightened out (Thank you, Mark Levin or is it Levine)!
Yes, Rush is a man of honor.
Mark Levin(e) is a man of honor.
Don Adams is a man of honor.
Teri Adams is a woman of honor.
Jim Robinson is a man of honor.
How nice to see the COUNTERWEIGHTS of HONOR which, little by little, will OVERCOME the DISHONORABLE THUG GOONS that want to smash all who love freedom and truth into the dust!
Good goin', there, lady! I'm a VERY regular Rush listener; catch his show every day....but wouldn't ya know it, today I was on an airplane returning from a biz trip, so I missed the whole show. I would have LOVED to hear you on with The Man, and good to hear how he responded (although I'm not surprised :) ). It's also refreshing to see a thread here at FR about Rush that's positive rather than the tired, nonsensical "Rush-bashing" I've seen so much of (and have railed against ad nauseum). God bless ya.
According to Cpl Cueball, Rudy's troops are goons and thugs. How, then, would he describe those Union guys who beat up Teri and Don? Avenging angels?
OOOPS, Sorry, Laz...I did think you were a woman!!!LOL!!! But I still meant what I said about you!! You go, boy!!!
Keep making those toys!!!
I found the following about Esperanto here
What is Esperanto?
Esperanto is a planned (constructed) language intended for use between people who speak different native
languages.
Who constructed Esperanto?
Esperanto was developed during the period 1877-1885 by L.L. Zamenhof of Warsaw, Poland (then Russia).
Zamenhof, who grew up in a polyglot society, was convinced that a common language would be necessary to
resolve many of the problems that lead to strife and conflict. He rejected the major languages of his day
(French, German, English, Russian) because they were difficult to learn and would put their native speakers
at an advantage in discussion with respect to those who did not speak them natively; and he rejected the two
"dead" languages with which he was familiar, Latin and Greek, because they were even more complicated
and unwieldy than the currently extant major languages. He began work on his planned language, which he
would eventually call "Lingvo Internacia", as a junior in high school, and eventually published the first
textbook of the language (for speakers of Russian) in the 1887, at the time of his marriage and early in his
medical career.
Where does the name "Esperanto" come from?
This word, which in Esperanto means "a person who is hoping", was adopted by Zamenhof as a pseudonym
for his first book. It was gradually adopted in popular parlance as the name of the language itself.
Are there other planned languages?
At least a thousand of them. The most successful of these is probably Bahasa Indonesia, developed by a
Dutch linguist in the 1920s on the basis of the various languages spoken in Java and today spoken by sixty to
a hundred million people in the Republic of Indonesia. Among the better-known constructed languages in this
country are J.R.R. Tolkien's Elvish tongues from The Lord of the Rings and Marc Okrand's tlhIngan Hol
(Klingon), used as background material in the more recent Star Trek movies and the television series Star
Trek: The Next Generation. Of the various planned languages developed (invariably on private initiative)
over the years for international use, the best known have been (in chronological order) Volapük, Esperanto,
Interlingua (Peano), Ido, Occidental/Interlingue, Basic English, Novial and Interlingua (Gode). Recent entries
in the field include Glosa and Loglan/Lojban. None has been particularly successful; the only three to garner
significant speaking populations have been Volapuk, Esperanto and Ido. The current number of speakers for
Esperanto apparently exceeds the total number of speakers over the past century for all the others combined
by at least an order of magnitude.
Those interested in other planned languages may with to follow a newsgroup devoted to them:
alt.language.artificial. There are also two mailing lists, one (Conlang) primarily devoted to languages created
for artistic reasons, the other (Auxlang) primarily devoted to languages developed for the purpose of serving
as an international auxiliary languages. Mailing lists for adherents of Ido, Interlingua and Lojban also exist.
NB: in the more general fora devoted to planned languages, much of the material posted is polemical in
nature and aimed at Esperanto.
Teri,
I heard that today and knew it had to be about you. When Rush made his comments I was jumping up and down!! Try it again tomorrow and see if he will follow up with you. I will be listening!
It does not seem to be raw esperanto. I checked against esperanto web sites. It seems to be a esperanto-latin mix.
Yes. I think you're correct. It's a very non-uniform mix. The third paragraph is the most intellegible.
Here's the proper link for the Don Adams story: *HERE*
He spent a lot of time discussing the story, Julie from Don's trial and acquittal to Jim Hoffa's takeover of local 115, John Morris and the weapons that were found inside the local!!! He discussed it off and on for the next half hour!!! It sounds like you may have missed some of it!!!
LOL!!! Thanks countercounterculture!!!
It is Levin. Thank you for answering my call!!!
There is no doubt you are RightOnLine about Rush. It was good of him to give us so much time!!!
Great job, Teri!
I'm sorry I missed your call. I don't get much of a chance to listen to Rush any more, since I now share an office. :-( Thanks for the heads up about this thread!
I suppose Rush can't be blamed for thinking that you and Don were there as Freepers. He probably thinks that Freepers are the only civilians willing to go out and have their blood shed for their country and Constitution. He's at least close to the truth.
Everyone else listen up: The Philadelphia chapter goes into action against Clinton again tomorrow. The action will be starting at 6:00 pm in the 1100 block of Arch St. Who will stand with us?
That's probably exactly the way he would describe them -- avenging -- or like the major media, he would refuse to mention them at all!!!
Very interesting!!!
Thank you Crutch, a scathingly brilliant idea!!!
Sorry you missed it also!!! He was quite generous to us!!!
Check your FR mail. If it can happen to the Governor of Iowa , Don can sympathize with him.
Thought you might like to see this!!!
Cpl Cueball....LOL. Yes, of course he would use the term "goons and thugs" to describe Guliani. Since he IS one of Clinton's CHIEF GOONS (even if his specialty is verbal destruction, it is still smashing his fist in your fast thuggism)....he knows of what he speaks.
This is one time I hope there IS somewhere out there a thug or goon who might defend Mr. Guiliani against the ARMY of THUGS AND GOONS commanded by Hitlery!
Will do!!
Teri, good for you to get on Rush's show! And God bless you and Don, again, in all! Your concerns about the Repub convention in Philadelphia appear valid ones to me!
Your standing tall has, perhaps, helped to prevent what could have been a melee ala Seattle type. Let's hope Rush's attention to your plight and perhaps SOMEBODY in the Republican party might finally pay attention to the danger they are in with their STUPID choice of Philadelphia! (No doubt after being whispered to by some WH operative plant in their organization that Philadelphia would be the PERFECT patriotic place to hold their convention).
You might want to read this thread!!!
Teri,
Thanks!! I wish you the finest of luck, and Godspeed!!!! I will definitely be listening!
I was very happy to hear Rush discuss your case after you got off the phone. It wasn't very long after talking to you that he wondered if you were not actually the Adams of the story with the Philadelphia union goons. I, too, wish he had also specifically mentioned the FR site name. I think Levin will more adequately fill him in on just what is being accomplished through FR.
Just wanted you to know!!!
Thought you might want to comment!!!
I'll be there tommorrow pm. Will try to be there by 5:30.
I told Mark the URL for this thread. Hopefully, he will view it and pass it along to Rush!!! I am certain Mark is aware of FR's influence with this case!!!
Thought you might want to hear some good news!!!
This is terrific news, Teri! What a sweetheart Rush is. And what a great month we've had, too. Morris put out of business, Hamilton jammed up, and Hoffa dissing Clinton. Can you stand it?
Big BUMP to Terry, Don, Judicial Watch, and all that have brought this story to the fore!
Wish I would have heard it, but thank goodness for FreeRepublic! At least I can catch up on what happened!
Rush is a sweetie!!! These last few weeks have been too good to be true!!!
Today it is rush who deserves the credit, he did us all proud!!!
Just trying to spread the good news!!!
It hasn't been lost on me. You did yourself proud to get Rush's ear. More important you got Mr. Levin's. That means a lot!
Folks this is the last chance to kick Mr. Clinton's ass as he waddles his way into ignominy. Don't miss it!
It was a nice honor for you and Don. Congrats!
We have had Mark's support for quite awhile. He has been kind enough to discuss the case on his radio show, when he subs, on several occasions!!! You are right -- we are so lucky to have it!!!
Congratulations, Teri -- I heard the call -- you did great!
Ed in NJ
Thanks, BVW for answering my call!! Your support has meant a lot to Don and I!!!
Thank you , Ed...I am glad you heard it!! And Rush finally got the whole story out..were you listening afterwards???
He spent a lot of time discussing the story, Julie from Don's trial and acquittal to Jim Hoffa's takeover of local 115, John Morris and the weapons that were found inside the local!!! He discussed it off and on for the next half hour!!! It sounds like you may have missed some of it!!!
Well, at least I did get to hear you LIVE and you were outstanding. DARN, wish I'd heard it all!
Unless you have done a 5 day a week radio show, you have no idea of the required prep time. The host ends up knowing a very little bit about a very large number of things.
What happened to you is a tribute to the quality of people Rush has on his staff. Except for the commercial breaks, and the news on the hour, it is very hard to communicate with your staff. Usually there is a ton of housekeeping stuff to take care of on the breaks. Three hours of air time is eight hours of hard labor.
Rushs staff obviously caught your significance, read the email and faxes, and let Rush know the situation.
I know it would have been nice for Rush to refer to Free Republic rather than Freepers, but I will bet you a bunch of bucks if you say Freeper to a Rush listener you will get Free Republic as a reply a very large percentage of the time.
Absolutely...I was contemplating trying to get thru until I heard that F. Lee had given him the goods.
Ed in NJ
I was listening too, Teri, and did my ears perk up when I realized what was being discussed!! Rush loves to say how he's 99% or so always right, but he was very gracious when he was corrected. I was delighted to know that this was being heard nationwide. So glad you were able to get on!!
Thanks no small part to you and your persistence. It is exciting to have it told on the Rush show for millions more to hear.
The ripple effect of that small stone you and your brother threw when you both refused to be cowered by the thugs in the union grows ever wider.
I was so glad to hear that finally got some air time from Rush. Glad to hear that the unions are being held to the limelight for the garbage they have caused. I don't like some of the possibilities of the WTO either... but perpetrating violence is the best way I know to hand sympathy to the Globalists. Nuttin wrong with free trade... just a LOT wrong with political manipulations and interferences. These people seem to think that we are too stupid to make any decisions for ourselves... and they take every opportunity to make legislation take the place of personal choices. They must fear that the popular choice would not be the one they know is best for us.. huh?
I have been out of the FREEP realm for about three months, so I have to get back up to speed, but I wanted to let you know I thank you and Don for all you have endured and continue to do for the issues we all care so much about.
I just wanted to make sure you were aware that Rush pretty much detailed the entire story and he mentioned both our names several times!!! He also linked it to the possibility of violence at the convention!!!
Yes, Rush has an excellent staff. I was amazed how quickly they caught Mark's e-mail!!!! Thanks for all your comments and your support throughout this year!!!
Good. I am glad you heard it all, Ed. And thank you for all you have done from the very beginning!!!
Oh, goodie. I am happy you heard it and I too am grateful that I got on -- I had to convince the screener!!
Yes, it was exciting and after all your help, I thought you should know!!! You are particularly dear to me you know!!!
I heard you! I heard you! While I was listening I was wondering if you were "our Teri." I missed the part where F. Lee Levin spoke, so I'm glad you filled us in. Great job, Teri!
I hope we've helped get you back in the swing of things!! Don and I also share your deep concern for conservative causes and we hope are effort has truly helped to protect the Constitution which we all hold near an dear to our hearts!!
Rush said Freepers are very nice people. cool Huh?
Thanks, Wanda!!! I hope I am forever yours!!! Mark e-mailed Rush and Rush got in almost the entire story in the next 40 minutes and he repeated both of our names many times!! He was a dear!!!
Kudos to you Teri for having the chutzpah to call a national talk show heard by millions to spread the word about the out of control Teamsters. Now we can only hope that some other influential people will see why the latest developements need to be highlighted and the Teamsters put UNDER control.
It was way cool!!!
A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO OUR NUMBER ONE SUPPORTER!!!! Thank you for all you have done!!!
Great work on the EIB Network Teri!
Here's a link to The Washington Times Editorial, Kickback Convicts for Clinton.
We would love to know where the Clinton/Reno DOJ's $83 million Teamster watchdog group, the "Independent" Review Board (IRB) has been all this time.
And where are they now? Perhaps the videos were just not explicit enough for IRB or they have been too busy since October 2, 1998?
And to clear any confusion, a copy of Jim's Trustee Notice:
November 14, 1999
TO: THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF LOCAL 115
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA
Based upon credible evidence presented by members of Local 115, it appears that democratic procedures within Local 115 are being violated, that the officers and representatives of Local 115 are failing to assure the performance of collective bargaining agreements and are derelict in their duties as bargaining representatives for the membership of Local 115, that financial malpractice has been committed by the officers of Local 115, and that the Local Union has not been run in compliance with the IBT Constitution or the Local Union Bylaws, all to the detriment of the membership of Local 115.
More particularly, this evidence shows that officers and staff are threatening members with loss of employment for themselves and family members, assaulting members, colluding with employers to terminate and suspend from employment members, utilizing persons with criminal records to intimidate members, retaliating against members who are attempting to exercise their free speech and association rights under federal law and the International Constitution, using Union resources to create a climate of fear and intimidation, engaging in surveillance of members, misusing the assets of the Local and the various affiliated funds, using Union dues money to purchase weapons, operating the Local in violation of democratic rights, operating the Local for the personal benefit of John Morris and his family members, coercing members into making cash contributions to Morris’ personal benefit, dissipating the assets of the Local to advance Morris’ personal “war” against unstated and unknown “enemies,” operating the Local in violation of the Local Bylaws and the International Constitution, operating the Local in a corrupt fashion, not operating the Local and the affiliated benefit funds to benefit the membership, and that the deterioration of the Local, the threats and erratic behavior of John Morris have dramatically escalated requiring immediate action to protect the membership.
The evidence reflects the following:
1. John Morris has been the Secretary-Treasurer and Principal Executive Officer of Local 115 since 1955 and since that time no member has dared to have his or her name placed in nomination to run against Morris or any other member of his Executive Board at the elections which are required by federal law to be held every three years. This pattern of no opposition continued at the most recent nominations meeting of October 1, l998, even though it was reported that certain Local 115 members desired to run as opposition candidates. Morris has personally selected every officer on the Local Union Executive Board. None have been voted on by the membership of Local 115 in a secret ballot election. Similarly, Morris has personally selected the Union Trustees on the Benefit Funds as well as the staff of the Union and all stewards. Members are routinely not provided with copies of their collective bargaining agreements or the Local’s Bylaws unless Morris personally approves.
2. Local 115 has a well-documented record of violence and intimidation under the leadership of John Morris. For example, the NLRB has an outstanding contempt order against the Local and Joshua “Jocko” Johnson, a Local 115 Business Agent. The October, 1998 demonstration sponsored by Local 115 and lead by Morris resulted in the beating of a protester (Don Adams) by members of Local 115, some of whom have already plead guilty. The case received nation-wide publicity. Morris hires certain staff members and appoints stewards and “volunteer organizers” who have criminal records and reputations for violence and intimidation, including currently Joshua “Jocko” Johnson, William “Billie” Anderson, William “Cookie” Walker, Marc Nardone and Michael Breslin. Morris had authorized Local funds to be used to convert a portion of the basement to a boxing training gym for use by his group of former boxers, including Jocko Johnson, Cookie Walker, and Mike Cooper.
3. Business Agent Jocko Johnson recently assaulted member Brian Kada at the Union office in full view of Morris, who not only did nothing to stop the violence or reprimand Johnson, but Morris himself then assaulted Kada. At Local 115 membership meetings, Jocko Johnson directs members when to applaud or otherwise respond. This system of intimidation has resulted in a situation where members will not ask questions at the meetings, let alone make critical comments or otherwise exercise their membership rights. Kada was too intimidated and fearful of his job to file a complaint. Morris personally assaulted Local President Jim Smith and his own daughter Nancy Morris at the Local’s offices. William Anderson faces Independent Review Board as well as state criminal charges for assaulting Local 115 Recording Secretary Jerry McNamara. Morris arranged for Anderson’s legal representation and at the criminal hearing on November 12, 1999, Local 115 Trustee Ken Woodring and Pennsylvania Conference employee Dan McGinley were present to assist Anderson, rather than McNamara.
4. Morris directed Local Union funds to be used to purchase 2 shotguns, 20 stun guns and a supply of pepper spray. Morris is known to carry a handgun at the Local’s offices for which he does not have a permit. These purchases were in preparation for what Morris describes as the “war.” He has caused Local 115 to convert the offices of former Local 513, which merged with Local 115, into a barracks with sleeping quarters for approximately 30, a fully equipped kitchen and a mess hall to accommodate 160 at one time. At his direction, Local 115 has purchased uniforms for over 100 members, purchased combat fatigues, boots, socks, gloves and hats. These items are stored in cargo containers purchased by the Local which are located on property rented by the Local. Morris has caused the Local to purchase 4 additional cars and 2 campers to be used when the “war” comes. The Local has also purchased five buses at a cost of over $200,000 for the same purpose. The Local’s political action fund purchased five tractors and five trailers. The estimated cost of each tractor is $100,000. These vehicles are stored on property rented by the Local.
5. Morris has maintained a system at various Companies whereby only persons who have demonstrated their personal loyalty to him are hired. The individuals receive two Morris business cards, one for the steward and the other for the Company in order to be employed. Those persons, if they remain loyal to Morris, gain employment for their relatives and friends in the same manner. This degree of control over hiring also extends to terminations. At the most recent membership meeting on October 24, 1999 Morris warned that he would hold the sponsors responsible for the actions of the others.
6. Twelve Members employed at Kurtz-Hastings were terminated from employment on one day at the instigation of the Local and Morris because they or their relatives were suspected of unspecified disloyal acts against Morris, which consisted of alleged contacts with other officers of the Local. These members and their relatives were ordered to appear at the Local offices in the evening where they were accused of disloyalty, had their jobs and those of their relatives threatened by Morris and other officers and staff, viciously abused for hours at a time and in some instances physically threatened by Morris and others in attendance. The members described Morris as “out of control.”
7. Similar terminations are occurring at Drexel University and at the University of Pennsylvania, as are the threats and abuse of members. Members are ordered by Morris to stay away from other members who are suspected of being disloyal with the clear implication that their employment and that of their relatives are at risk. In all of these cases, the Union officers, business agents and stewards are not acting to protect the members or their jobs or to properly represent them under the contractual grievance procedure. The Union agents have been attempting to gain information to substantiate terminations and identify what other members they are associating with. These actions are designed to intimidate other members and force them “back in line.”
8. Morris announced at the October 24, 1999 membership meeting that he was removing Jim Smith and Jerry McNamara as officers of the Local, an action that violates the Local Bylaws, the International Constitution as well as federal law. Morris had earlier caused McNamara’s employer Kurz-Hastings to deny him reemployment and his vacation time.
9. Morris caused the Legal Fund to hire a retired Philadelphia police officer whom he bragged at a membership meeting was a wiretap expert and directed him to engage in surveillance of Jim Smith’s home and activities, as well as that of others. Morris and other agents of the Local directed other members to spy on fellow members. Morris directed members to take the Local’s video camera to the high school reunion of its former attorney to record which members talked to him and to intimidate them.
10. Although Local 115’s jurisdiction is limited to Philadelphia, the surrounding Counties of Buck, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery, South Jersey and New Castle County, Delaware, Morris caused Local 115 to purchase a building in Harrisburg in September of 1998 for $125,000, which was then converted into more “barracks” at Local 115 expense for when the “war” comes.
11. Morris recently purchased a building located behind the Local because he stated that in the event the Local was in Trusteeship, he would burn the Local down and operate the Local from this building. He has also referred to this building as a sniper or sharpshooter’s nest. The building is not occupied or otherwise being used. Shredding of Local Union records has also been reported.
12. Although Morris’s total salary from all Union entities for calendar 1998 was $184,423.50, he has had a practice for years of having Local 115 members, while on the clock with their Employer, repairing at no charge Morris’ cars and even painting a car for his grandson. He also had members perform extensive renovations and repairs on his house, including the one behind the Local, and that of his daughter while the members were for the most part being paid by their Employer.
13. The stewards each year are required to collect cash from the members to give to Morris as a Christmas gift which amounts to thousands of dollars. The stewards are instructed to keep a record of those not contributing and to deprive them of overtime opportunities.
14. The Local Union has been paying the premiums on a million dollar insurance policy for Morris which is in reality a deferred compensation plan covering only him. In 1981, he proposed that the Local pay the premiums in exchange for his waiving his 1981 salary increase. The Executive Board approved the plan, but he then paid himself the raise retroactively. Over the years, the Health and Welfare Plan has been amended in order to cover medical conditions applying to him or other members of his family. These improvements were often made retroactive. Morris caused his daughter Nancy to be hired as a clerical employee of the Legal Fund. He directed that the Fund send her to a ten-week course in labor relations with all expenses paid at Harvard. Her duties at the Fund, before and after this trip, do not relate to this course.
15. With approximately 2700 members and approximately 65 contracts, Local 115’s financial stability cannot sustain the misguided and unreasonable expenditures outlined above. These expenditures do not benefit the membership of Local 115 and are made only to satisfy the personal whims of John Morris.
16. The pattern of erratic behavior coupled with the atmosphere of coercion and intimidation that has driven off the experienced staff cannot continue. Most importantly, the members are being targeted for harassment, threats, and attacks of violence and loss of employment by the officers and staff that are duty bound to protect them. That conduct is continuing and may worsen given the condition of John Morris. The atmosphere of fear among the members preventing them from exercising their rights requires that a Trusteeship be imposed immediately.
Accordingly, based upon the evidence submitted to me, I am, pursuant to my authority under Article VI, Section 5(a) of the IBT Constitution, imposing an emergency trusteeship over the affairs of Local 115, effective Monday, November 15, 1999. I have appointed Brother Edward Keyser as Temporary Trustee. Pursuant to the procedures set forth in Article VI, Section 5 of the International Constitution, the members of Local 115 will soon be receiving a notice of hearing to determine whether the temporary trusteeship should be continued or dissolved. Separate notice of that hearing shall be posted by the Temporary Trustee.
A copy of this Notice shall be posted immediately in the Local Union headquarters and in such other places as will ensure that the members of Local 115 are informed of the imposition of the Trusteeship.

BUMPing the good news! Hooray for Teri & Don & Rush!!!
TO your response #102-WAY COOL! :^)
Teri & Don- It was a pleasure meeting a solid brother & sister Pro-Freedom twosome like yourselves during the post MFJ activities.I also had the opportunity to meet Mark Levin at the Managers Dinner. He is a top-notch guy and down to earth person. I also told Mark to pass on to Rush how many of us at the Dinner were proudly wearing "Rush-Ties"...(to bad the "Big Guy" wasn't there). If you remember, I had mentioned to you or Don to contact Mark regarding legal help re: the philly-union thugs.)
If you did..your in good hands.
Best Florida Freeper Regards.
Thanks Julie!!!

This thread lifts a body up! :-)
Just a gushy, FR-style love-in. LOL
Between Rush, Don, Mark and You (Teri)-chuckle-nothing but a bunch of well deserved kudos. Nice break from the rock and roll of political commentary.

Someone sent me a negative article about Rush. What do you have to do to be a true conservative for some people??
My dear Flanew, you have mail!!!
Well-there are good and bad points to be made about everyone. Ya have to find someone you admire, that stands for what ya believe in 'for the most part' and go with that standard. There has not been a 'perfect' person, other than Jesus Christ, invented yet-at least to my knowledge.
Rush would be the first among us to claim fallibility, I'm sure, despite his bravado and ego-soothing schtick. It's his wit, wisdom, ability to ferret out the truth, humor and love of our country, his wife and familiy that I enjoy. That is not to say that sometimes I don't yell out a few nasty words his way when I think he is off his rocker. :-)
So far, the only real fault I can find with the big guy is that he does not own a dog. Always felt that there is something seriously wrong with anyone that has not shared that bonding. Cats are fine-dogs are different. LOL. Seriously-there is something about folks that share their lives with a dog(s) that sets them apart. hehe Most dog owners know what I am talking about. And since this is my biggest criticism of Rush-lol-I guess ya know I am a big fan of this guy who makes money the old fashioned way!)
Rush has done more to help conservativism than anyone I know!!! Thanks MSMom!!!
