Dark Shadows of German Industry

Many firms didn't just use slave labour.
They actually financed Adolf Hitler's rise to power
and were involved in plundering.

By Harry Sterling

How much should it cost to silence survivors of Nazi slave labour camps?

Exactly $5.2 billion (U.S.), according to the German government and approximately 60 German firms who've agreed to compensate about 2 million survivors of slave labour camps for their suffering endured during World War II.

Putting aside the moral issues involved, most German firms implicated in the slave labour issue obviously regarded the settlement as tolerable from a purely business standpoint, since it ends the threat of an extremely embarrassing boycott of such companies' products in the United States.

German authorities claimed compensation
demand was unrealistic

However, German authorities had initially claimed the compensation demanded was unrealistic, even excessive, offering instead only $3.3 billion. The attitude seemed to be that just because millions of Russians, Poles, Ukrainians, French and others - Jews and Christians - were enslaved to work for German industry under the Nazis didn't mean they should expect present-day German taxpayers to compensate them for their years of suffering and degradation.

According to Germany's negotiator, Count Otto Graf Lambsdorff, providing more money would be difficult at a time when German citizens ``are suffering cutbacks in social services and other financial problems.''

But with such major companies as Bayer Pharmaceutical, Siemens, Daimler and Ford Motors Germany confronting what was becoming a public relations nightmare, they finally begrudgingly agreed to $5.2 billion.

Although the controversy centred on the reluctance to give slave labourers appropriate compensation, there was also another issue lurking in the background: Many German firms didn't just use slave labour, they actually financed Adolf Hitler's rise to power and were deeply involved in the Nazis' plundering and looting of countries invaded by the Third Reich.

In fact, after Hitler's accession to power in 1933 (with 44 per cent of the vote) his main fundraiser was Gustav Krupp, head of the giant Krupp steelworks. He diligently brought other industrialists onboard, including I.G. Farben, then one of the world's largest conglomerates.

Krupp willingly became chairman of the Adolf Hitler Fund, which helped finance the National Socialists' needs, including salaries of the half-million strong Nazi storm troopers and black-shirted special police force, Schutzstaffel or SS. He also pushed through a system whereby firms, including banks, contributed - some under duress - a fixed percentage of marks to the fund.

Many industrialists understandably saw Hitler as an ally against the spread of Marxist parties and unions. They were prepared to overlook his anti-Semitism and racist views - as did Britain's King Edward VIII and the U.S.'s Henry Ford - since they represented no danger to their own interests.

Some present-day German firms benefited from Hitler's economic measures against Jewish businesses. Hitler's backers took over the country's Jewish-owned newspapers and publishing houses, along with the largest department stores and other retail firms, often paying less than 10 per cent of true value. For a cash-strapped government, confiscating the wealth of Jews increased revenue.

Representatives of industrial firms actually accompanied German forces as they swept across central and eastern Europe, carting off entire plants or participating in their requisition by German occupation authorities, putting them at the disposal of the German war effort. I.G. Farben took over Soviet rubber and chemical plants. German steelmakers wanted the iron ore and coal mines of Russia's Donets Basin. Other firms wanted the oil from the Caucasus.

While some German executives opposed such blatant plundering, others were eager to seek special concessions. In Poland, in addition to factories and firms seized without compensation to their owners, the Nazis also confiscated hundreds of thousands of homes and farms, expelling their occupants. German business groups supporting Hitler were the ultimate beneficiaries.

For pro-Nazi German industrialists, Hitler's war was a business proposition. They were particularly keen to take advantage of slave labourers, most of whom were ``purchased'' from the Gestapo, who ran the concentration camps. So eager was I.G. Farben to use cheap slave labourers, it established separate work camps with its own guards. (The son of Gustav Krupp, Alfried, even organized ``slave raiding'' operations in occupied territories.)

Such German firms made little effort to improve the living conditions of their slave workers, jammed into squalid barracks with appallingly unsanitary conditions and grossly inadequate food rations. Hundreds of thousands were literally worked to death. (One Nazi study estimated Jewish prisoners could live approximately three months from their own accumulated body fat before finally succumbing.)

I.G. Farben designed ovens
and developed Cyklon B gas

But such prisoners were the ``lucky'' ones. Those who were unfit for work were quickly exterminated at death camps, such as Auschwitz, using Cyklon B gas (crystallized prussic acid), developed by I.G. Farben. Once stripped of any gold fillings, corpses were incinerated in massive ovens especially designed by I.G. Farben. (The company was split up by Allied occupation authorities after 1945.) Some would like to close the door on such horrors from half a century ago.

But the determination of slave labour prisoners to obtain justice is a reminder that the ghosts of the past can continue to haunt the present. Harry Sterling is a former Canadian diplomat who now lives in Ottawa.

The German bank that was going to hold Hillary's motgage the first time around also financed Auschwitz.

A world apart geographically, same place philosophically. Today New York, tomorrow rthe world.

Pretty much every German company used slave labor during the war. Unlike the US and the UK, the Germans did not use women in the workforce to a large extent. They made up to the missing male workers with slaves.

Interestingly, Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach's family were 19th Century industrialists in Pennsylvania. Following Bismark's unification, they went back to Germany.

Hopefully all of the victims will be included in any settlement, including "Ostarbeiter" Slavs.

I suppose the next step is for the companies to bill the German Government for the increase in costs for providing it with the war materials.

It's easy to say that " such and such company " will pay, but like the tobacco tax here, it is the present day consumer of the product that will pay.

Every increase in the cost to any company is passed on to it's customers.
Is it so hard to understand that companies pay for nothing ?... pay zero taxes ?.... the consumer pays for everything

So put Porche and Mercedes out of business -
- close up the chemical companies
- make the present day employees suffer for the sins of their fathers
- give the lawyers their 40%

Nothing could compensate these people for what they went through -
- not even enough money to buy a brand new 450SLC, purchased through the labor of their present day neighbors.

I know something like that did come up recently. The name jumped out at me because I used to pass their Joplin, MO plant on a fairly regular basis.

Can't find anything on a first sweep other than their being a huge transnational who took some hits from the feds for dumping

Up in New York, they appear on the Elector List for the NY Department of Health's Health Care Reform Act (HRCA). Back down on the farm in Joplin, they took a hit for allegedly causing cancer by releasing substantial quantities of TCE from their Joplin plant.

Judging by the company they keep on the client lists at places like Greenware, seems more than likely we will turn up an allegation of human rights abuses in their past.

For the time being, however, they're just a proud and very successful, non-union leader in the aerospace defence leaving as they enter the world of 21st century of transnational global relocations.

Here's an interesting little article on tobacco for you ...

Madison Felled by Tobacco

In my heart of hearts, I think the truly addictive potential of smoke (not to mention the cost-effectiveness of early smoker deaths) makes this a win:win for both the governments and tobacco companies (perhaps not in the long for the latter but Diversify and Conquer, babe). With the prospect of State-Owned Corporations looming -- as set forth by Clinton in his last State of the Union -- I'm guessing that the governments long-time partners in crime (as fall-guy or whatever) will get their due.

I know some tobacco attorneys are salivating over the prospect of signing up NATO countries for tobacco legislation and making some spending money (to tide them over for those missing federal fees) while they roll the gun suits in tobacco paper precedents and deliver on disarmament as promised.

I'll have to do some more reading on Madison ... thanks for the link.

"I think the truly addictive potential of smoke"
...not sure what this means... I put in 10 years "addicted" to cigarettes ( quit 20 years ago )
but I am "addicted" to Cheetoes each time I break down and buy a bag ( untill the bag is empty )
Can I sue them when my cholesterol goes up ?

The difference is in the degree and the strength of will of the participant.

Can parents sue over Poke'mon ?

1941 On Sept 18, 1941, Col. E.I. Jacob, Churchills military secretary, is informed by Major Desmond Morton Church, Churchills liason with the British Secret Service, that "another most secret fact is that to all intents and purposes, U.S. Security is being run for them at the Presidents request by the British. A British officer sits with Mr. Hoover and Bill Donovan for this purpose. It is of course essential that this fact should not be known."

"I'm guessing that the governments long-time partners in crime (as fall-guy or whatever) will get their due.
Not sure where you were headed with this, but the problems started when candidates were allowed to accept contributions from non-voters ( companies, PAC's, )
ONLY citizens should have the right to express themselves using the method of supplying funds to their causes, with NO limits.
If they wish their funding to be secret it should be non tax-deductable. The amounts given should be public knowledge, a candidate would be ( and should be ) pressed by the public to reveal the source of un-revealed funding.

Good point. I just tend to think that the government wouldn't have been so keen on passing out free smokes to GI's if there weren't some longterm friendliness there. (As a sometimes habitual smoker, I'm of the school that anyone in their right mind knows it's Addictive and Bad for You.)

PS: I am thinking of making smoking a "thing I did in the 1900's". (But I LOVE to smoke at certain times -- like when drinking or FReeping -- and spent way too much time at paste-up night on the paper and theatre rehearsals not to be "ritually addicted".) What to do??

PPS: (Not the puffed Cheetoes, I hope ... not even worth the orange fingers ... )

Remember this thread? Ted and the Fed's Big Adventure in Mind Control?. My first introduction to Operation PaperClip and Drs. Naito, Kitano and Ishii of Japan. Pretty keen how all the key players in bio-weapons, eugenics (and nuclear bombs) were saved the war trials and went on to become esteemed members of the NIH and such.

I'm confused by the September 18, 1941 entry. British intelligence was by then under U.S. auspices? (An agency-up instead of top-down decision?)

Sometimes ... well, as of late, anyway ... it begins to look like the West and Japan have all been jockeying for prime position to deal with China (who, in their "try, try again" sort of fashion looked like chumps who "lost" countless lives in a quest to "catch up" with the capitalists).

Sometimes it seems that only China's had the "hypodermic needle to the fontanel" sort of backbone the rest of us could only wish for and have had to go to great lengths (and expense) to emulate.

Well ... I guess I have to wonder (as was my experience in the journalism or theatre departments) whether free smokes made for more smokers or less.

Bunch a guys with shot nerves and no regular sex? Seems a natural spot to snag a new smoker or two. I suspect smoking not only increased among the smokers but many smokers were made for life during the war as a result.

I'm still right with you on the individual's ability to resist both advertising and nicotine with self-control. However, there's a big difference, I think, between sending non-addictive (no Cheetoes, that I could see) treats or food and packaged nicotine even considering the fact that smoking was still a-okay back then.

Of course, there will be nothing left worth fighting for but ... hey, we'll be too evolved to care.

This piece was mostly opinion with even fewer facts. Similar conditions occured in many wars without one dime of reparations being offered anyone.

In the Civil War, carpet baggers were, in many cases, New Yorkers and Masschusetts scaliwags coming down on the railroads with banking money to corrupt southern judges appointed by other carpet baggers. They got the judges to foreclose on farmers, then paid 10 cents on the dollar for title.

Grant described them as New Yorkers of the worst and most exploitive type, and he ordered them out of the South as did other Reconstruction Generals.

Yet, no reparations have ever been given to the persons whose farms and homes were bought, sold, burned, or otherwise destroyed.

Why is this case so different?

Our Constitution has an amendment denying reparations to anyone who lost property in the Civil War. If this was proper for us, why not for everyone else as well?

Otherwise, I say compensation must be given to the descendants of all persons in the South who were equally and viciously deprived of their labor, property, and lives by a despotic regime.

On a more positive side and for closing, let me say that I thought the opinion piece above had excellent word choice.

It just seems to me that 50 years is enough time passed to simply say, "Just let it lie." Unfortunately, New York attorneys are involved in this very sordid little affair to the hilt just as they were in the South in 1865, and carpetbagging is carpetbagging no matter whose hide you are fleecing and dollar bills will always be hanging from the glue on their lips.

And, besides, New Yorkers, you are just so darned good and so consistent at this sort of thing.

As everyone says nowadays: "It's what they do."

Because if they can cap damages at the German tip of the iceberg, so to speak, there's no need to call in the deep sea divers who have an entirely different opinion as to who was (and still is) to blame for such atrocities against humanity.

Sure, 3 smokes in a ration would satisfy a pack-a-day smoker, and the guys who didn't smoke would puff theirs anyway rather then trade them off for the chocolate bar...
and gee, most of our regular customers are over there and if we don't find a way to call them "necessary" we won't be able to produce them while at war ( maybe we can grow hemp for rope ? ) and if we donate them we can stay in business, and they don't cost us Jack to make them anyway....duh..

Kervorkian's just part of my picture of Wanted v. Unwanted Life.

How noble, how kind, how compassionate to help end the life of an unproductive, physically handicapped, mentally feeble or depressed individual who truly believes their live is not worth living but is too incapacitated, even, to refuse nourishment. Just a further ingraining of the "not worth living" mantra behind the whole mess. It's truly evil, really. Encouraging others to think themselves the sum of their superficialities and/or defined by their shortcomings.

It's one of the reasons I lump feminists, affirmative action enthusiasts and ADA mavens into the "Inferior to the Physically Able White Man and Don't You Forget It" faction. At present society is being hobbled to mediocrity by the enforcing of "equality" at the expense of excellence. Masked by hatred of patriarchy and blaming of the White Man is the insidious and tacit half of the message: you can't HOPE to measure up to the white male without the State's help.*

In any case, one day the worm will finish turning only to face those who demanded special treatment in order to be equal and remind them that they sold their souls in Round One. Game Over Man.

*Although dangerously close to kowtowing before China at present, he still calls the tune and (if I'm not mistaken) is the one who decided Roe v. Wade, legislated the ADA, affirmative action, the War on Poverty, the War on Drugs, the deformed baby database, affirmative action and -- most important -- heads the transnationals who only continue to flout with one hand the "global code of conduct" they enforce with the other.

Not to worry, tet68, my money's still on the Whiskey Boys at present! (You know ... guys like Jim Robinson. =)

Okay ... I've only bought perhaps one jar of Miracle Whip since being on my own. Not the stigma of SPAM but, reveling in the freedom of buying my own groceries for a change, I ate Pickapeppa sauce on EVERYTHING for two years and just never got back into the habit of mayo OR Miracle Whip. Nowadays, having worked in some kitchens, I just make up my own as needed for dressings or remoulades and leave it at that.

BUT THIS WEEKEND at home for Christmas, however, I had a sister sent out in the cold especially to get a jar of Miracle Whip! (Sandwiches made from leftovers just aren't the same at home without it and they were out.)

You're going to alert me, I trust, the MOMENT you know we've the opportunity of drinking, eating (or just sneaking a smoke outside around the grill or something, eh?) at the next FReepfest. (Remember, Mr. Sportsman, I'm an honorary Florida FReeper ...)

Looking forward to it already ... regards, tet68!

The Rothschilds consolidate control of world money systems through the Bretton Woods Pact, essentially a replica of the charter of the Bank of England, which provided immunity from all judicial processes, declared the archives inviolable and not subject to any Congressional inspection of court examination, and insured the tax-free status. The Pact then proceeded to systematically loot Western Europe and the United States. The US is ruled through the CFR, various foundations and the Federal Reserve System.

You are correct about the Joplin, Missouri plant. They were dumping trichloroethane right on their own property with the result of polluting the wells of nearby property owners.

They used to make the balls and assemble the bearings at Joplin but in recent years they started bringing in the balls from Japan. These bearings go into our automobiles, all areospace products and many consumer products.

FAG was one of the factories (ball bearing manufacturers) we loved to bomb during WWII.

I'm not one to state the obvious.....

(Lord knows I am. But what's obvious to me at times -- the incongruousness of Pres. Bush's and Bob Dole's plea-bargaining for Clinton being suspect and kneecapping the impeachment that might have spared us Kosovo -- has earned me permanent "whacko" status.)

The whole concept of reparations is the idea here. Yep ... except for our sidebar on tobacco. I'm not convinced they're being "punished" at all considering the fact that hooked individuals -- GI's or otherwise -- will be footing the "reparations" to the very same government that will realize a net savings as a result of the smokers' early deaths. (Not to mention the precedent-setting fancy footwork as detailed in the link which undoubtedly sets the stage for disarmament ... for starters.)

WWII came about in part because of the insistance of reparations for WWI. WWIII has not come about because we have given a hand up to the countrys that were devasted in WWII.

A hand up is NOT a hand out. Winners don't pay reparations ... ( note to Bill Clinton )

Agreed entirely. Except for the part about WWIII. I'm not so sure about that. Barring our "mishandling of the relationship" with China (quoting Pres. Bush), I don't see a WWWIII on the horizon. I see "peacekeeping missions" and "humanitarian actions" and "containment" if not the brutal "enforcement of a global code of conduct" by which we bomb the crap out of civilians and civilian targets in order to teach a lesson to some despot (under whose thumb these civilians are supposedly already suffering) and who will remain in power (Saddam ...) afterwards.

Now it's just a matter of tit for tat skirmish during Peace in Our Time as the occasional morality play (by the U.S. and NATO) or territorial savagery (by Russia or China) obfuscates (or underscores) the real battles ensuing in the celestial sphere of Economics and Trade ... the be-all and end-all for hungry totalitarian and dead-eyed financial elite alike.

Well, Boyd ... perhaps TRUFAX is merely doing their best to emulate the TRUTH of the Blood Trail or the work of dogged volunteers such as Randy Engel (whose work I've been posting recently). She, of course, was primarily focused on issues of human life and details not only the founding and "successes" of major PR scams like the March of Dimes (with the help of folks like the Rockefellers) but the sterilization of Puerto Ricans (with the help of FDR's buddies and the Gambles).

I'd like to be more skeptical at this point but fear I can't.

Interesting the names and agendas that are shared among the eugenicists, the Blood Trail and these posts of yours. A subject for coincidence theorists, no doubt. The Ewing paragraph reads much like a soon to be posted follow-up to "Beyond Abortion" and, if true, Dulles seem to have all the compassion of a Liddy Dole who (with her Harvard JD and advanced degrees in gov't and public safety) seems to have no excuse for overlooking BOTH Clinton's record with tainted blood in the '80's AND the fact both Arkansas and Louisiana pumped tainted blood through 1994, three years into her tenure and TWO years after she ASKED to revamp the entire U.S. Blood System.

I'm interested in the "wackos" at the KGB who gave credence to the power of the Masons, what sorts of grain Norman Bourl was developing, and where this Schaltenbrand guy ended up who first jumped a monkey virus to humans. The names Bayer and Hoescht also caught my eye, of course. Likewise, Alpha and its parent Green Cross (not to mention Drs. Naito, Kitano and Ishii of Unit 731, Mukden--and then NIH--fame) also flourished after the war with our apparent blessing. Unbelievable ... except for its being documented fact.

Hey ... what about this bit:

1942 On October 24th, US Government orders the seizure of Nazi German banking operations in New York City which were conducted by Prescott Bush. Under the Trading With the Enemy Act, the government takes over Union Banking Corporation, of which Bush is a director. On October 28th, the government seizes two Nazi front organizations run by the Bush-Harriman bank: the Holland-American Trading Corporation and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation. In November, Nazi interests in the Silesian-American Corp are seized. Nazi US partners are left to carry on business. The order to seize the bank is quietly published in government records and kept out of the public media.

This Prescott Bush character ... any relation to OUR President Bush?

Regards, Boyd!

Could you point me in the direction of more scientific information on the jumping of viruses between species?

I was trying to explain to my sister how difficult it should be for this to happen (humans to get simian viruses) and have not a pithy means to do so.

On the other hand, however, what of these ballyhooed avian viruses or the anthrax scares in Oklahoma during my childhood where fields full of bloated dead cattle were a threat? What explains those phenomena if there is, indeed, some natural barrier between species?

Sure.. like I said .. companies never pay anything...
Don't people understand ? companies are set up so "people" are insulated from the losses of their combined influences.
You can't "punish" a company - no matter how nice it feels to do it---
You only effect the people who are the current owners of it's stock - and the managers are hired to prevent any wierd changes in the price.

I was trying to explain to my sister how difficult it should be for this to happen (humans to get simian viruses) and have not a pithy means to do so.

You may as well give up trying to explain how difficult it is for viruses to jump species, because it is actually very easy and happens very frequently, often with devastating consequences.

A couple of good examples are influenza and Hantavirus.

Influenza virus can infect the cells of the respiratory tract in just about any warm-blooded animal. Pigs and domestic birds are quite commonly afflicted. The big problem with influenza is that the virus will periodically undergo antigenic shift such that the new virus contains a set of antigens to which susceptible hosts (like humans) have no acquired immunity. In that case, if the virus jumps from say birds to humans, the infection rate can be quite high and consequences devastating. You may recall that there was a scare in Hong Kong about a year ago where a new type of influenza jumped from chickens and ducks to humans. In an effort to control the spread, millions of domestic fowl were slaughtered and destroyed.

Hantavirus, until a few years ago was a little known infection of rodents. It jumped species from mice to humans in the Four corners area of the west and caused a number of human deaths. Nobody really understands why it jumped at that time but since then it has been sporadically reported all over the country.

Simian viruses other than HIV are also prone to jump from primates to humans usually in the lab setting. Lab workers have been infected with simian herpes viruses which cause encephalitis and pox viruses which can cause pneumonia.

Obviously the classic virus that jumps from species to species is rabies, which has been known for thousands of years.

The CDC publishes a bimonthly journal called Emerging Infectious Diseases. Here's a link to it: Emerging Infectious Diseases

Well, there you go. Wrong AGAIN!! How does this happen?

Jusst briefly, I think the following is what lodged (however imperfectly in my brain). If you don't mind, though, save your comments or any links you might have for me (and I'll pull in your last post) when I post "The Great Vaccine Debate" later this evening.

Large scale commercial productioon of apolioi vaccine required the use of monkey kidney tissue known to contain varying amoutns of live monkey viruses. If these live siman viruses failed to be killed, along with the poliovirus in the "inactivation process," million, if not billions of homo sapiens would be introduced to potentially harmful, if not lethal, strains of simian viruses. The species barrier -- "one of nature's great built-in protective biologic mechanisms against the inter-species spread of disease would be transgressed on a global scale." (25). It was a time bomb waiting to go off! And go off it did in the eaerly 1960s when the "inactivated" Salk Vaccine, injected into millions of children and adults in the United States and around the world, was foudn to be the primary vehicle for the transmission of cancer-producing Simian Virus 40 found in rhesus monkey kidney cell cultures. (26)

(25)-----Dr. Herbert Ratner "The Present Status of Polio Vaccines, 1960," Part II, Child and Family, Vol. 19, No. 4, p. 263.
(26)-----Dr. Herbert Ratner "Monkey Viruses, AIDS and the Salk Vaccine," Part I, Child and Family, Vol. 20, No. 2, p. 134.

I hadn't read the footnotes at this portion yet. Obviously, this is but a tangential paragraph in a discussion of the Salk Vaccine which is why it took me a while to figure out where I'd read it. (Nearly done with my stacks, BTW. This is going to be cool.)

What's the verdict on Ratner again? (I'm thinking thumbs down but can't remember right off the bat.)

Hope you had a GREAT holiday, CJ!

Sorry for not EVEN checking for typos ... =)

So, the species barrier of which he speaks is largely that which prevents us from passing on viruses because we don't kiss, bloody, eat, root in the feces of or have intercourse with animals regularly I guess.

Pretty much. The other circumstance would be when there is a vector such as mosquitoes (recently an issue with the West Nile Encephalitis outbreak in the NY area, where the mosquitoes transferred the virus from birds to humans), or the improper processing of food (mainly an issue with bacteria, but possible with prions, the agent of Mad Cow Disease and its human counterpart).

Viruses seldom cross species in a dramatic way without man's help, however. The destruction of wild habitat, medical experimentation and the mobility of humankind have significantly enhanced interspecies transfer of disease. Those issues simply mean that we must be even more alert to new and emerging diseases.

As I understand this passage, it is a reference to the role of William "Intrepid" Stephenson, the Canadian who served as a leading officer of SIS, i.e., the predecessor of the current MI6, British intelligence. For most of World War II, Stephenson ran British intelligence in the U.S. from his British Security Coordination offices on the 38th floor of the International Building in Rockefeller Center. He was also instrumental in establishing Wild Bill Donovan's offices, first COI (Coordinator of Information), and then the OSS, the predecessor of the CIA.

Hey Boyd ... or shall I call you Commmie Pigdog?

I was "taking names" that rang bells the other night when first I was reading some of your stuff. Hoescht was one. This link's in my List so I'm just dumping this here.

Next time I post something by Whittaker Chambers, you're in charge of the air raid sirens, got it? We really can't be too careful.

Action Life (Ottawa) Inc.
RU-486 Facts Sheet.
"The Human Pesticide"

RU - Stands for Roussel-Uclaf - The French Company that developed the chemical.

Roussel-Uclaf is the French Subsidiary of Hoechst AG - a German drug conglomerate that is a direct corporate descendant of the I.G. Farben company, whose parent company, DEGESCH, developed the Zyklon B gas used to exterminate millions of Jews at Auschwitz. RU-486 is most effective if used within 19 days of the woman's last missed period or five to seven weeks front her Last menstrual period (also expressed as a maximum of 49 days, from her Last Menstrual Period).

Steps for an RU-486 Abortion

1. Woman goes to clinic, gets pelvic exam.

2. Woman returns to clinic to take three RU-486 tablets.

3. Two to three days later, woman again returns to clinic for Prostaglandin, (either injection, suppository or oral), then waits three to four hours at clinic.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: RU-486 is not very effective as an abortifacient alone. It must be administered in conjunction with another abortifacient chemical whose primary action is strong uterine contractions. Therefore, RU-486 should be referred to as RU-486/PG since it is never administered alone. The significance of this is that Prostaglandins are a steroidal class of chemicals that of themselves, have serious side-effect profiles. Thus reality beinq that a dangerous chemical "cocktail" is offered to innocent and susceptible women in the name of privacy and choice.)

4. If the abortion does not occur during the wait at the clinic, woman returns home to wait for baby to be expelled from womb.

5. Woman returns to clinic for another exam to make sure abortion was complete. If not complete, woman must undergo D&C abortion.(Approximately 5% of women fail to have a complete abortion with the RU 486/PG technique.)

Side Effects

Extensive bleeding with approximately 10% experiencing very heavy bleeding.
Severe pain (Roussell Laboratories admits that 30% of the women- having RU-486/Pg abortions require narcotic analgesics.)
Nausea
Diarrhea

The long term side-effect profile has neither been studied nor is it known. Because of the nature of this potent steroidal based chemical. the potential for side-effects both immediate and long-term is very real.

Psychologically and morally, the trauma lasts indefinitely in most women. The decision to abort must be made quickly in the case of RU-486 since the "window of opportunity" is so short in duration. This time when a woman first becomes aware that she is pregnant is when she is most vulnerable to the abortion rhetoric. The panic from the discovery of an unwanted pregnancy brings about hasty but irreversible decisions, even greater than with surgical abortion, the source of serious future trauma.

DOUBLESPEAK is a common form of distorted terminology used in regards to RU-486. For example, the negative is made to appear positive, the claim that RU-486 high-tech, medicalization is "demedicalization", that strict medical supervision is privacy and "home-remedy menstrual regulation". Doublespeak especially uses all different forms to make the complications appear minimal or at least tolerable. This distorted terminology technique is designed to curb thoughtful evaluation and acute questioning.

All claims that RU-486 has potential for use in: -endometriosis -fibroid tumors -breast cancer -Cushing `s syndrome have no basis and are attempts to get the chemical approved for some other use in order to have it available in the United States.

RU-486 was licensed for use in the United States, in April 1993, to the Population Council, the supposedly non-profit research foundation (the non-profit status currently being under question) that holds the license for NORPLANT (Tm).

LOL.

Depending on the subject matter that I post, I've been called worse [names]. Kinda depends on which agenda you are questioning.

As a side note, I was reading something a couple of days ago on FRANKENFOODS, and how Monsanto et al are being sued big time. The same DC based firm that sued for the Holocaust survivors is handling the Monsanto case. Also, no collect-no fee.

Yes probably my grandfather was conscripted slave labour for a ball bearing plant and also a bomb factory before he managed to feign illness and escape obviously there was not much he could do to help but he and russian compatriots made sure a significant amount of bearings and bombs were defective probably saving many lives of course if caught you would be shot on the spot.

They were prepared to overlook his anti-Semitism and racist views - as did Britain's King Edward VIII and the U.S.'s Henry Ford - since they represented no danger to their own interests.

I'd say overall things haven't changed much. Try this: "They were prepared to overlook Clinton's need for diversion from his treason and girlfriends, as did Britian's P.M. and the leaders of NATO, and the U.S.'s news media - since Clinton's bombing of the innocent men, women, children, hospitals and churches in Kosovo represented no threat to their own interests."......and continue to fill in the blanks.

Ironically there are some Freepers who'd claim that these companies were over all good people who happened to not like Jews. Gecko would be their leader.

The German bank that was going to hold Hillary's motgage the first time around also financed Auschwitz.
A world apart geographically, same place philosophically. Today New York, tomorrow rthe world.

Yeah, its an international German Conspiracy- do the Germans control the media too?

I don't believe in slave reparations ... I just don't believe in continuing to provide human fodder to proven bone-crushers, that's all.

Actually Hofmann first produced LSD-25 in 1938.

It wasn't until five years later on April 16,1943 that during the final steps of the synthesis of a batch of LSD-25,during the crystalization stage,he began to notice, dizziness, restlessness, and the rest is history.

Interesting that you find Gecko more appealing than the owner of the site. Accusing of JimRob of political correctness is a new one.

The same idiots always post the same stuff and for some reason they feel the need to lie. I think it's because they can't handle truth. I've never advocated the killing of anyone.

I'm still waiting for a thread that you'd be a worthy participant for.

The almighty dollar and the lust for worldwide fame
Slowly killed tradition and for that someone should hang
Now they all say "Not Guilty," but the evidence will show
That murder was committed, down on Music Row

I used to be in a band but not the Weasels. They were a 1 hit wonder punk band in the early 80's with "I beat her with a rake to make her pay for her mistake". A very un-PC song.

Huh. Never heard of them, sound British, and I'm not a big fan of British pop/rock.

My favorite un-pc song is "One in a Million" by G&R. Good reason it never made it radio.

Several days later he did a self test to confirm the results and this time with a Dose considered safe at that time of .25 milligrams. After the onset of symtoms he decided to go home and accompanied by a lab assistant he RODE A BICYCLE home! Zowwie! That must have been an experience!
