Madeleine Albright Mistaken For Cleaning Lady

Culture/Society Breaking News News Keywords: ALBRIGHT KOSOVO
Source: Wirebreak
Posted on 02/09/2000 08:10:47 PST by M. Peach

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright was mistaken for a maid during last year’s peace negotiations for Kosovo in Rambouillet, France. According to a report in the "New York Daily News," the Secretary of State at first wasn’t recognized by the Albanian delegation when she walked into their room.

“One member of the delegation, who didn’t realize who she was, and probably thinking she was some cleaning lady because it was after midnight, simply said to her, ‘Give us five minutes and please go away,’” recalled Albanian diplomat Dugagjin Gorani in War on Europe, a British TV program. Instead, Albright exploded in rage, swearing at the group, according to the reports.

“Mrs. Albright started using explicit language which the translators never could translate into Albanian,” says Veton Surroi, another member of the delegation.

I know this may be a little old news, but I thought for most of you, it might brighten your day a little....

Very interesting that this humiliating story about halfbright should be fed to the wire services the same week jamie ammanpour quits to spend time with his family. What is going on at State?

AllButt was wandering around looking for her Albanian boyfriend Thaci. Hey, it's a tough job, but Thaci got NATO to back the KLA. 29-year old Thaci literally threw his body into the mix. Being mistaken for a cleaning lady instead of a lovely playgirl must have been quite a comedown for MADdie.

Maybe it was jamie ammanpour who planted the bug for the Russians in the Madeline's conference room. Then again what's Strobe Talbutt doing these days? Maybe Madeline wore the bug in for the Russians. It was interesting how quick State announced the problem. That was done to kill off the FBI investigation and tip the Russians off that the FBI was aware of the bugging. Now we'll never know who (Jamie?) planted the bug. I bet this story is going to explode soon. One can only hope.

Was ammanpour pushed out by halfbright? Was this leak to his friends and water-carriers in the press a little payback? Or is the situation in Kosovo so close to disintegrating that both halfbright and ammanpour need to be pushed out to make room for "fresh" new faces? Or was the cleaning lady story released by hillary in order to punish halfbright for failing to deliver a legacy? I think we should be told.

Well, yes, it was posted before. I did the graphic the first time the Albright incident was reported. If you look carefully, the image contains the freerepublic url. I decided after the first of the year that any images that I am doing for the forum will contain the FR url. Hopefully, if the image is "spread around" enough on the internet, people will discover the FR forum. Someday soon, I will post a site where you can access all of the original graphics I have done for FR. Thanks!

I always thought all of those appointments were Hillary's "pound of flesh" for getting Bill the White House, i.e., sticking with him. (Of course, sitting on a stage and not even being recognized as the POTUS last Sunday could be the ULTIMATE payback from Hillary to Bill.)

But have you EVER seen an uglier bunch of women in one group? I was beginning to think they don't know any normal looking people; they were all so, shall we say, "tough" looking.

And the guys -- Lanny, Sidney, Begala, Ickes, et al. -- what a bunch of whimps. Oh, lord...how could I ever forget that little whispy David Kendall!

Even though we disagree on most things, please read the article posted by aristeides. You will find it here, then let me know what you think - A response would be greatly appreciated.

No, Chris M., you are just one of many fools who probably lives much better than he deserves and has never learned to respect the life, liberty and happiness of others. While you apparently have similar qualifications, YOU are just common, the Mad beast demonstrates a special kind of ignorance and evil.

Having earned a Ph.D. in political science...

My brother, the liberal, has his degree in political science and history, and he's been destroying Junior High minds ever since he began teaching. I trust you have been using yours for productive purposes.

I was wondering - where's the science in Political Science. I can see the use of statistics. I can see where you study economic trends. Is the science the art of how to rig statistics and distort polls? Or is that just what they teach at Liberal Arts schools.

Political scientists engage in quantitative research in order to answer all types of questions, such as explaining the frequency and intensity of interstate and intrastate conflicts. I personally am interested in explaining popular support for communist-successor parties in Eastern and Central Europe.

You make a very important observation which reveals the hypocracy of the liberal elite. Yes this is an insult to all hard working laborers everwhere. The liberal elites think themselves superior and are insulted to be mistaken for commoners. These people sicken me, living in their million dollar mantions, sending their defective genes to the best private schools and dictating to commoners how they should live collective lives while they themselves live in privilage and luxury.

So I take it you are a professor of political science who does his research on the political support for neo-Communist parties in Central and Eastern Europe. You wouldn't by any chance be dependent on government (and CIA) contracts for your work, would you? And you wouldn't by any chance publish your work with a CIA-associated publishing house like Praeger, would you?

No, I do not rely on any government contracts. I use the Euro-Barometer for my data and a lot of weekends for my research and writing. I am employed at a teaching institution that allows very little time for research. No book contract from Praeger Press, although I am co-authoring a book on counterproliferation that Mellen Press will release this summer.

We haven't heard a peep from him ever since Jamie had to contradict Gelbard's statements that the KLA was for sure a terrorist organization. Bet Mr. G is sorting paperclips in the Latvian embassy or something equally as glamorous.
