Liberal deep-backbencher John Richardson (Perth-Middlesex, Ont.) pines for new leadership, notably for FinMin Paul Martin. But poor John has shown little leadership of his own on the ever-dragging Hep C Tainted Blood file where he displayed a fabulous flip-flop, first speaking out against his government, then voting "for it due to coercion of the PM and the party whip". That's according to outspoken Hep C activist Mike McCarthy, who says "Richardson took a beating for speaking out as the PM didn't renew his parliamentary secretary seat at the Defense dept. He vented his concern to me that as an MP in the Liberal party you are not part on the decision making process and that power was in the hands of a few". But Richardson's recent "poll" showing massive support for Martin is at odds with his views on the blood scandal, given that many within the hemophiliac community view Martin's role in it as somewhat suspect to say the least. Notes McCarthy, a VP in the Hemophiliacs Society, "Mr.Richardson is well aware that criminal charges are imminent in the blood scandal and that high ranking government officials will be implicated."

A bump and a drip!

May it spread south of the border. Any grand jury here with the collective intelligence of a cockroach ought to be able to implicate both Bill and Hillary Clinton in tainted blood criminality. The particular charge may be unclear, but I have always thought it should be second-degree murder -- the causing of loss of life in the course of committing a felony. One count of second-degree murder for every person who has died from Cummins prison blood.
We could always make sure the issue follows him on the leadership trail.
somewhat suspect to say the least
I'll say.
Wallaby's excellent bit of research (with plenty of "real time" cites and science embedded within) … Is the Blood Trade Responsible for the Spread of the AIDS Epidemic?
