This weekend I was given the honor of being invited to the 1st Annual CITIZENS FOR A FAIR VOTE COUNT CONVENTION. It was an exciting and informative experience that I wish to share with my beloved FReepers.
I was asked to attend by the wonderful Mr. Jim Condit Jr. This man is a true patriot with a love for God and country that, as we know, is seldom found! Mr. Condit Jr. presented the Cuban American community with the Freedom Award for out tireless efforts in resisting government tyranny. The award was accepted by me, since Marisleysis was not able to attend (unfortunately). I plan to give her the award this evening if at all possible and discuss with her where the plaque should be placed (ie, a pulic location?).
An award was also given to Donato Dalrymple for his personal sacrifice during his active role in protecting our little Elian Gonzalez until the bitter end. Donato was eloquent and passionate, as always, and I was proud to be in attendance.
I would like to give my sincerest thanks to all of the people who took part in this weekend's conference. Each of them is an invaluable to me as they are to our country. A roomful of patriots is always a sight to behold!
I met Linda Muller - a leader in Pat Buchanan's Brigade - a true visionary, reformed liberal (like myself) and a classy lady through and through. Check out her website listed below.
Also, for those Constitution Party members - EAT YOUR HEART OUT! - I met Mr. Howard Phillips, your Presidential candidate. Now, I have to say that if our election process was truly FAIR AND CLEAN, this would be my candidate of choice. (My apologies to the Bushies and Brigadiers) Mr. Phillips' principles and ideals are a perfect mirror of my own! He formed the Conservative Caucus. You can read more about him at the website listed below.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the various activites, I could sense the true HOPE for what this country should and WILL be. We, at Free Republic, should, individually and collectively, support these fine individuals and organizations in their tireless endeavors to clean up our government and restore the United States to her rightful owners, her CITIZENS!
Of course, each person should read the information and evidence presented in the following websites and make their own judgements. I encourage all of you to read Votescam by the late James and Kenneth Collier. I am going to read it. We are in deep trouble my friends.

Lev - the way things are set up right now, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for any 3rd party candidate to win. The voting process is so corrupt and controlled, that we have no way of knowing the real results.

It's worth repeating, a rough quote..."It matter's not who votes, but who counts the votes" Joseph Stalin... paper ballots, take a week to count if need be, controlled at the local level... no computers. Sound good?
I have heard of Votescam but have not read it. Agree that Howard Phillips is a tremendous candidate. His qualifications are outstanding.
Please read David Schippers book, Sell Out, or at least the parts about Al Gore masterminding the effort to grant citizenship to 1,000,000 new people (more than 20% felons) in the 1996 election and 2,000,000 this year. They seem to think they can guarantee these votes for the Democrats. There was a WSJ editorial on it within the last week or so.
I am very concerned about the computerized voting machines that are prevalent this year. Who has access to the code? How do we know that they won't just slip in a few thousand extra votes in Gore's column every so often.
The other thing that concerns me is the view of this election in the Hispanic community. A dear friend from Costa Rica works for me. She is bright & very conservative -- hates Clinton, hates welfare, hates lazy people, owns her own house, etc. However, she cannot tell the difference between Bush and Gore -- she doesn't like either. But she WILL vote in November. She gets all of her news from Spanish radio & TV and from other hispanics. This tells me that the Bush message is NOT getting through. My Spanish is so poor, that I feel at a loss to discuss this with her. Any suggestions?
IMHO, Bush and Gore are both bought by the WTO. Sadly, we are forced to vote on issues that really have no impact on the One World Order dilemma.
As for your friend, better to vote for Bush than Gore, if only for the slow down of radical liberalism. Pro-Life in any form is better than Pro-Choice and, additionally, Clinton will have more say in Gore's presidency than he will in Bush's. Neither of them speaks clearly - that is the nature of the political beast.
First, we need to clean up the election process. Only then can we get a decent president in office.

You're right, of course. She caught me so unaware on Friday that I really did not know how to appeal to her. I think your argument is perfect and may sway her. I should have thought of it myself, but my Spanish is so poor that I don't discuss things with her except in the broadest of terms.
As far as the difference between Bush & Gore, you have many valid points. It's just that it is so late in this election cycle that I'm afraid that if we don't get behind Bush, we'll have Gore for 8 years -- and then Hillary for 8. Oh, no, my head is hurting at the thought!

Hmmmmm...I'll have to do an old-fashioned search for those items, but I think it is fairly plausible to consider that Dubya has a spanish text version up on his website somewhere. You know that "inclusivity" is his major selling point.

These Freedom Awards awards for Marisleysis and Donato are especially welcome in the wake of the offensive and obscene spectacle of the INS Pro Slavery and Skullduggery awards handed out to the cowardly law enforcement collaborators with the most depraved administration since Ceaucescu in Romania. I will definitely check out the voter fraud and Reform party links. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Joseph Sobran on the Reform ticket with Howard Phillips? Brilliant writer/political columnist.

One source of good input for your friend is the spanish language Bill of Rights and explanation on the jpfo.org website. Also get her in front of a computer and put her on Dubya's website. It is available in spanish too.
And try to convince her to work on learning english. English is the key that unlocks the door to the American Dream. All should have the key.

Yep, it'd come down to a race between Libertarian candidate Browne or Mr. Phillips...glory be the day when a candidate can win the Presidency espousin' either of these gentleman's ideas of Justice and Liberty...again!!

Go here and translate an ENTIRE web page! It does a pretty good job...Use the "Transparent" selection, insert the URL to this web site by copying and pasting the URL into the appropriate field. Click Go and after about 30 seconds you will receive this thread in Spanish! Awesome, eh?
