Looks like a huge turnout. :-p
No, just kidding. Looking forward to more pix!
It was a cold, gray day here in Dallas. Early arriving freepers gathered under the portico of the old courthouse.

OK. Thread begun.
Now, I have a family who is ready to call in the de-programmers to help me get over what they perceive as this unhealthy obsession with politics.
I've invited the whole bunch over for spaghetti and meatballs tonight -- as a peace offering and to prove that I'm not quite ready for the straitjacket.
As soon as I can cook, feed 'em, and get 'em out the door, I'll be back to posting pictures.
Thanks for the pix, sorry I couldn't make it.
Just thought I'd let you guys know- when I was getting ready for work this morning @ 0600, our local Dallas radio station WBAP mentioned the Freepers on their broadcast- talking about the rallies going on. Word's getting out!
Dittos from San Antonio Self-reliant, you did a great job. We were at the Alamo last week and we could hear the voices of past freedom fighters ring from the hallowed ground
Ya'll do Dallas proud.
Woo HOO! It was great today - and if WBAP and other stations are starting to notice us, that means we will gain even more momentum. It was wonderful to see Pete Sessions out there with us and supporting us, what a trooper!
I'm so impressed! Bay-bay, it was buzzy COLD in Downtown Dallas today, and yet we topped 60 people (and possibly more - that count was made towards the end after some people had started to go home)! YAAY!! GO MIGHTY FREEPERS - we are making a difference!
How amazing that this David, we the people - so ordinary, so good and civil - have for the first risen up as one to fight the Goliath of corruption. May we yet slay it...
I was very excited about today's event. Even with the cool weather, we still had a good turn-out. It is very important that the media and the citizens of Dallas realize what is taking place in America today. Just as Pete, stated every American needs to defend our freedoms. See ya next Saturday!!!
I got some good pictures of dandelion, self_reliant and a couple crowd pics. I also got one of Pete Sessions (with the back of someone's head). Anyone want to load them? I don't have a website to send them to.
There were 2 counts that came to 75 and 82 people. Wow. What a crowd considering how cold it was! Some of us met at Sonny's for BBQ afterwards. We got to meet some really good Freepers, new and old. Tony Aguillar also joined us. He will be running in a Southeast Dallas district in 2002.
I also got a great picture of the "Sore/Loserman Nasdaq" sign. lol. Can't wait to see more pics. Hope someone else took some.
The DC Chapter salutes your efforts!
Oh, and how could we forget? There were
ZERO -0- NADA Gore supporters!
MAF, that is great. Good going.
Mmmmmm, Bar B Que....
Oops, I should know better. Bold off!
Great Job!!! Keep it up, it'll get famous soon!
It was great seeing Pete Sessions and hearing his speech. I understand that Pete had to back off his usual aggressive style during his election and some people were a little concerned about it, but from what I've seen, Pete is a great Congressman!
Here's where all the Dallas media were today:

Great NASDAQ poster! At one point, the crowd began a NASDAQ chant. Another freeper remarked, "NOW we sound like Republicans!" LOL

Self_reliant, thank you once again for being our official photographer. You do great work, and we really appreciate it!
Just for the record, I took a count during Pete Sessions speech, and counted 102 protestors, which was very pleasing. I was also impressed with how everyone gathered around to listen to Mr. Sessions, and seemed to be hanging on to his every word. What an asset this man is!
The irrepressible dandelion!

102! That IS impressive!
You Yankees gotta realize -- we got thin blood down here. It's an absolute necessity to survive the months-on-end of 100+ degree days. So, it's tough on us when there's a 25 degree wind chill.
But, we're hardy stock and won't be stopped.
basil, you were especially brave -- coming out today feeling as sick as you did. Tell oregano we missed her.

I'm sorry that I'm so bad about remembering people's screen names. Early Alzheimers. If you recognize yourself in any of these, let us know who you are!

It was really nice getting to meet both of you today. I wish we had gotten more of a chance to talk. Maybe at the next get-together. (hopefully not an election rally - I'm ready for Gore to CONCEDE!)

Great Work Dallas !!! At the Philadelphia rally today a tourist Dad and his young son walked by our group and gave us the thumbs up and said they were from Texas. This, of course, elicited a huge cheer - until the boy took his jacket off his arm and held it up - A Dallas Cowboys jacket !!!! They were then treated to a polite Philly Boo - This is Eagles country, after all. LOL

It was nice after 4 solid weeks of freeper work to have one of our area politicians show up.
